To me the descent to Grenzsattel was a bit scary... but I guess it also depends on the conditions. When we were there, the protections were partly covered in snow and together with the exposure it didn't feel too safe. I wouldn't have done it solo (I'd rather solo Lyskamm before soloing that), but that's just me. If the protections are present you could probably rappel safely in the steeper area. Towards the summit - Most of the way is relatively easy but there are still some places which the exposure is high and without protections would feel a bit awkward to me. Good luck and take care!
