I added the names to the peaks to give an understanding how those famous mountains are visible from the summit of Mont Blanc. Before my trip to Chamonix I couldn’t find any good panoramic views of the surrounding mountain range.
@@maltmountain it's a thing I do, if good weather and decent visibility, to try to correctly name the mountains. Often it's surprising to place their relative positions from the summit! Cheers.
@@BMrider75 I was surprised that you could even see monterosa from there, I've been the couple of times to ski and thought there were a greater distance between them.
Congratulations. Excellent photography. Excellent rhythm. Excellent soundtrack. Of the most beautiful ascents to Mont Blanc that I have seen filmed. Whoever sees your movie will want to do mountaineering. I wanted to go up in July 1986, but when I left the old Gouter there were blizzards and storms and we decided to take the flight from the Dome de Gouter. In this video I have seen what I could not do then. Beautiful. Thank you very much for sharing.
Excellent video capturing the essence if the summit push. No annoying chatter or captions with large font - brilliant. Thank you. This is making me excited for my summit attempt in June 2024.
Hi, I found this video and while reading the comments I found your comment. So i just wanted to ask if you made it to the summit and how was it. I really want to climb to the summit of Mont Blanc one day!🥰
Thanks for sharing this amazing hike...i would like to see more videos from you. We hope u will never put hold on the journey and God bless you. Love from india🇮🇳
Hi I just tried to do this solo last week 31st July,I walked up from les houches to the goûter hut 2600m and stayed there,it was impossible to summit the morning after 80kph winds, although you seemed to have snow at a lower elevation than me I didn’t use crampons until the next day descending in a snow blizzard to tête rousse. Thanks for thé vidéo.
Could a peson alone do that? Not with a lot of experience but very good equipped? I'm interested if I have a chance! Is one of my dreams! Thank you and congratulations on the video, looks amazing!
Thank you:) if the weather conditions are perfect it could be possible. Especially for an experienced person it would be doable because the Gouter Route isn’t technically challenging. But if summiting Mont Blanc is one of your dreams, I really can recommend to do it with a professional guide. It’s still a very high mountain with strong winds and sometimes there can be unexpected weather changes. Moreover there are some dangerous parts like the Grand Couloir. So in a professional rope team you would have better chances to reach the summit and it would definitely be the safest way:)
Thanks for sharing this video : ) In August 2020, I was there, too. Unfortunately, I was alone and didn´t really record something. Could you tell me which day you went? : )
Hey, I know this has been uploaded for awhile now, so I understand if you don’t reply. Are you able to do the climb solo without a guide? Also do you start partway up or climb the entire way? Great video by the way. I also hope to climb it one day.
I’m glad you like the video! We made it up in two days with one night at the Refuge de la Tête Rousse. As a experienced mountaineer a solo climb shouldn’t be a problem. The mountain isn’t technically challenging. For me it was the saved way to go with a guide. But now with those weather conditions i would dare to climb the route solo. But as the weather and snow conditions can change quickly i still would prefer a guide:)
As long as you can deal with 1500 vertical meters, you should be fit enough for Mont Blanc->half marathon. The weeks before my longer climbs I try to go to the gym at least 4 times a week, riding racing bicycle and do some longer hikes at the weekend. But I don’t have a special training program:)
It was a little bit windy up there, as you can see in the video. Nevertheless we felt safe in our rope and we had an amazing view on both sides of the ridge:) there are some steep parts but it wasn’t a technical challenge.
@@maltmountain ok thanks al lot - yes it looks amazing. I am planning on doing this but have a moderate fear of vertical drops particularly on both sides. (I am going to ensure I am roped up).
