Great review Gem. It is so impressive how far these Arcade 1up cabinets have come. I still remember this being the very first arcade machine I ever played when I was a kid. My dad took me to the mall and I was shocked when he handed me a quarter to go play X-Men because he knew I was into X-Men. Took too long and the game selected Dazzler for me, my dad watched me play to the end. He is not at all into video games and often told me they were a waste of time so him giving me a quarter to play and seeing how happy I was, it is a memory that will stick with me forever and makes X-Men arcade such a special game. I hope I can get my hands on one of these one day.

KI looks really good and the intro is not bad, they replaced the Nintendo logo with an Arcade1up logo and they replaced things rather than just cutting scenes like the xbox. Xbox just has the spinning Rare and then it goes right to the KI.
Watched this review while putting together another display pedestal. Your right it’s a beautiful cabinet, brings back all the nostalgia. I love beat em up games they never get old to me, so this one and the TMNT cab are my favorites!

Capcom owns those licenses. This cab already is dealing with licensing from Konami, Marvel, Disney, and G-Mode (owner of Data East properties). Add in Capcom and this would've been even more expensive than it already is.
My all time favorite arcade beat-em-up. I will be trying to wait for them to drop the price, I know the added the lights but a $250-$300 price hike is a little too much for me. Would have instantly bought it at $400. Great video.

Played X-Men at the arcade probably Children of the Atom many times back in the day before the consoles. Lost lots of quarters back then. Good times!✌🏾

This cabinet looks so good! I think your price comparison to figurines is actually really good- this cabinet is really expensive, but it’s pretty on par with people who buy collectibles.

I bought direct from Arcade 1up , my only complaint is my control deck acrylic cover came in scratched up more than my other cabs, still love it though! These newer gen cabs have been really great to collect, snagged a whole beat'em up collection but I fully agree with you on the replay-ability thing vs other styles. Party cabs baby!
You know what game this is missing? The Spider Man 4 player arcade game with Spidey, Black Cat, Hawk Eye, and Namor! loved that game back in the day at the arcades!

When playing Galactic Storm, hold down player 1 and 2 at the same time to exit. 3rd floor arcade mentioned this. Not sure if anyone else said anything yet! 👍
FYI I gave a thumbs up but accidentally hit the thumbs down button so I took it off, but I like the fact there trying to do the best they can to keep it original… I’m only gonna buy these when I can lol just for the nostalgicness.. I’ve made my own bartop that fits anyone’s size so it’s comfortable when 2 or more want to play games like these.. But I know if your a collector of statues especially of marvel, I know you’ll find atleast this arcade unit in the house lol Good work bro ✊🏽👍🏼
Though I was never a fan of the fighting coin-op games back in the day, that's a very cool setup. I would love to have the Star Wars Arcade Machine with all the SW vector games. Loved playing those back in the late '80s, especially in the cockpit cabinet. Very tempted to get the Atari Legacy Edition Arcade Machine just to have Tempest, one of my all-time favorites, Crystal Castles, and Missile Command. Would love to see a Williams Legacy Edition with Robotron 2049 (my No. 1 favorite), Sinistar, Joust, and Defender.
I've only played the 6 player cabinet up until X-MEN got released on ps3 which was still 6 player but had a 4 player option. Having infinite continues and the lack of the massive cabinet robs the game of a lot of its enjoyability imo.Theres also something about popping a limited amount of quarters into arcade games that makes them more fun than when they get ported to something else. These 1 Up Arcades seem pretty cool I just dont have space for any :(
So glad you got this and boy, Gem! Can’t justify this cab for myself when I have both Marvel Cabs. Inquiring minds want to know though, if you play online I assume you can only max out at 4 total players, not 6 right?
This cabinet looks sick and would fit perfectly in my comic room. But like you said for replay value I rather get the NBA Jam or Mortal Kombat. I only have the Pac-Man cabinet.
I disagree with his remark on the limited re-play value. Frankly, how many times can you play Pac-Man without getting bored of the same old maze? With this game, you can play through as several different characters. It makes each game unique and fun, especially if you are a fan of their mutant powers. Plus, the game feels fresh when you play it with a friend.

Arcade 1Up always does a killer job on the stools and that extra detail of a coin slot is just icing on the cake..

In my older age all I need is my arcade fix, sometimes I just play a couple of levels of any game and satisfy my needs.

With these online AC1ups you push the 'Live' button to exit which brings up the menu. Much faster than holding down P1/P2 and waiting.
