Are you kidding me? The 80's revolved around the bit wars. Who had the best games, they even cared about the music and sound. To act like the 80's is any different from how they would treat something now other than the obvious changes in technology. Is, in my opinion. Silly. To be fair, I did not grow up in the 80's but I have learned. Look at Dragons Lair for example. That blew people away. Video games have always been about the evolution of the graphics.

Switch them out with Sanwa arcade Cabinet buttons. Those are the Sanwa Fight stick arcade buttons, that came with The Marvel superheroes special edition. You will love that arcade button feel like the ones on your Street Fighter Arcade 1 up. You have a dope room set up man peace!
I bought the reg edition bc the blue trim is lights out badass! I added sanwa joysticks to it and ordered lightup marquee from arcadegamefactory!! The blue one looks way cooler!

when you mod the regular one look at using Happ sticks and buttons. Those are the OG ones you're used to. you'll end up wanting to mod the MK cab too if thats your jam
I didn't get tracking info but did request it and A1UP sent it to me. FedEx destroyed mine during shipping. A1UP has resolved this issue so props to them for so quickly taking care of my issue. Overall very happy with this purchase.

$10 upgrade that will at least make your older cabinets feel better(not sure if needed for the new Marvel one) is changing out the 1 pound springs with 4 pound springs and adding new gates. If you are all ready there where you can mod a cabinet, changing out these subpar parts is easy. Modding the old Marvel cabinet(and adding new decals?) is not a bad idea, hut why not just build a new larger cabinet, with a larger screen and custom GemMint decals? Also, where do you and how do you store your CGC's?

for your mod cabinet, i'd make sure there are more than just one game on it....I'd have most of the classics on it and I'd get the cabinet painted with a "popouri" of game images for all the games that are installed on it
The light up cabinet is a Gem!!! Your room is the best. As a kid I remember mashing the shit out of the buttons in the marvel fighter games lol In mortal kombat 2 I was very skilled at it. Very fun game learning every characters moves. A killer instinct cabinet would be cool. Now that game I couldn't get into but I enjoy watching ppl play it. My favorite fighters as a kid where the kings of fighters series on the neo geo.
I just ordered one from hsn. I wonder if it's a limited edition.(Hope so) It has all the features Thanos riser, leds and lit marquee. Only difference is mine has the blue trim.

I agree with you, regarding the classic feel of the concave buttons. Not sure I like the newer, smother buttons, but then, it's been decades since I've had access to a real, commercial arcade. :)
I saw that unboxing and was sold immediately upon seeing that Iron Man briefcase armor box. But I'm trying to put myself in check because I know that in the long run that machine will mostly just sit here and I could buy another silver age 9.4 Iron Man slab (or two) with the money I'd spend on the arcade machine. Another down side is that unless you want to go in heavy on the shipping, it's a Craig's List unload when you finally want out of the cabinet. Tough call. Great video though, thank you.

I know when you made this video you where leaning toward the standard. I plan to buy the cabinet but not sure if the cost is worth the amount for the special edition. I don't care about the lighted up marquee or the fancy riser.

GMC, cool plan for your second Arcade Up machine and good luck to you modding it into a dedicated Killer Instinct machine using a Rasberry Pi. The two machines do look good next to each other and at some point maybe you could add X-Men vs. Street Fighter on the Limited Edition Marvel Superheroes Arcade 1Up if that's possible. Much Respect to your skills in Mortal Kombat II and stick with Marvel Superheroes it's worth it, I think you'll get the hang it and really enjoy having that cabinet. I hope at some point Arcade 1Up does a Marvel vs. Capcom machine as well. I'm looking forward to the future video of the mod of the O.G. machine into a Killer Instinct arcade cabinet.

Hoping my limited edition cab shows up soon! If I had to mod one I'd go Darkstalkers or Marvel VS. Capcom for sure, but i hope Arcade1up already has plans for these, I know Darkstalkers is already included on the Capcom Head to Head cab that comes out in December, but I'd love a dedicated cab the the first three games!

One issue with the new cabinets, so far no video board is available to convert the video output as these cabinets have the new GEN3 LCD monitors. So unless you replace the monitor too which tanks the cost of the MOD you might have to wait a while fora an updated board to be released. The new MKII cabinet from Costco also has the newer LCD GEN3 monitor. So like you I want to mod but will wait for the release of the GEN3 video board as replacing the LCD puts the cost of the cabinet way too high. Good video, keep up the good work.
I just played mine as I was playing punisher. I never played it till I got the arcade 1 up cabinet. It’s a gem. Wish knights of the Round Table was on it too but then again it’s not marvel
I have the Rampage machine, I asked for a replacement board because of the Gauntlet problem. It has been 22days and no replacement board. Customer service for Arcade 1up is crap.

So unless you replace the monitor too which tanks the cost of the MOD you might have to wait a while fora an updated board to be released. The new MKII cabinet from Costco also has the newer LCD GEN3 monitor. So like you I want to mod but will wait for the release of the GEN3 video board as replacing the LCD puts the cost of the cabinet way too high. Good video, keep up the good work.
I just played mine as I was playing punisher. I never played it till I got the arcade 1 up cabinet. It’s a gem. Wish knights of the Round Table was on it too but then again it’s not marvel
Great cabinet but there is no options menu to adjust difficulty my only gripe with this cabinet love the punisher such a great game
I have the Rampage machine, I asked for a replacement board because of the Gauntlet problem. It has been 22days and no replacement board. Customer service for Arcade 1up is crap.
that sucks...the company isnt perfect by any means. I am happy with the cabs I have though.
