Wow. This is my favorite of your many episodes. Insightful and masterfully done. Thank you for not too simply brushing away the anger and hurt. And yes, there is something miraculous about forgiveness. Your examples, moving and well chosen, evoke that.
In my imagination today's dream message revolves around the notion of the premature. They say that spring is the rightful season for lambs to be born. In the dream the lamb is born at the time when ponds are covered with thick ice. Presumably it is still winter. So it's possible to deduce that the lamb is born prematurely. Premature might be the reaction of the dreamer to put this newborn animal out of its misery. The unconscious freezes the pond therefore sending the message to the dreamer "You can't do that". It's very curious that the dreamer evokes Botticelli whose masterpiece painting is called "Primavera" or Spring. The profusion of fairytale-like animals both domesticated and wild in the dream makes me imagine Snow White (freezing again!) and her animal helpers. Could those be the dreamer's own instincts gathered in numbers to advise the dreamer not to act prematurely? Wait till spring, so to speak. Thank you!
amazing! "you need to forgive something that you did even know you need to forgive" I grew up in a alcoholic abusive emotional devouring atmosphere. I didn't even know about alcoholism until I enter alcoholic anonymous at age 31 ...
In adding something about 'forGIVEness' (5:00)... In Spanish we use 'perdón' as a noun from the verbal infinitive 'perdonar' where 'donar' can be translate as 'donate' being a 'don' something gifted.
For me , forgiveness as a concept or cognitive declration, might create space for something more, different or healing to happen. "Might" being the operating word of that statement. The body memory however may not so easily be on board with such gestures to the self or other.
