I really appreciate Joseph articulating concepts and experiences that are not talked about very much and which I wonder how many people grapple with in silence. You gave me an understanding of what has been an intuitive process for dealing with these things. The episode on Sacred Symptoms really helped too. Thank you.

I had an Expiernce when I was younger at a Pentecostal church , they spoke a lot about the baptism in Holy Spirit , I have had rather long and prolonged kinds of estatic states when younger , the first time it happened was in my bedroom when I was praying with a friend to receive the Holy Spirit , I felt a wind come rushing up the hallways after I left the room after we had finished praying and it was as if I was filled with joy and laughter for hours I could not stop laughing I was besides myself , I was at a freinds baptism and needed to compose myself but I could not and was laughing through the entire service and this other church did not quite understand what was happening , not a Pentecostal church , after about 3 hours of this I could not speak English anymore and started speaking in other tongues , I went to church later in the night and it eventually released me , I could also smell the smell of a perfume that smelled like Musk

I have had spiritually ecstatic experiences in a few different ways. The main categories for me seem to be art, prayer, and nature. It only happens when im alone, though there a certain shared flow state that can come about from great conversation which is profound.

Experienced this via non dual meditation last year as I stayed with solely my awareness of awareness while letting go of the contents of consciousness. I also then felt able to access some knowledge beyond the rational and knew 'something terrible has happened in the world' at the same moment as the Hamas attacks without having heard the news.

What a great episode! As we enter the apex of Saturnalia season! To the dreamer, I feel you dude, since I was 25 I have had dreams very similar to yours. Means we are growing up and becoming freer than ever before. Also, let’s get these driving licenses 😁

Would you ever do an episode on perfectionism? That’s something I have struggled with a lot…

Thank you for this - super interesting. I actually often feel extacy when I'm really present with cats or dogs. I feel like I'm imploding and as if I want to bite them on the shoulder. There's so much love that I can't handle and don't know what to do with myself. 😂 Crazy. Feels great, but too much.

I've been through Enlightment, Kundolini awakening, also through LSD, Mushroom. I have felt the beauty of all 4 of the different experiences were completely different. I've done back surgery with energy at home by self and Devine beings.went from dragging my legs to painless and full range of motion. Very wonderful feeling. I've been healing as a Chosen 1.❤

In my own ongoing process of reassembly of an inner cosmology, I've briefly met Dionysus; he came as a shooting star , in a chariot drawn by Chiron and Pholus, with a VERY large jar of wine and a bag of "incense", and accompanied by a retinue of tribal Elders. He was wearing a tie-dyed toga, and said they were on their way to some music festival on a farm in Upstate New York , and just dropped by to say hi (or did he mean 'high' ?) - he looked a bit like you might expect a love child of Steven Stills and Jerry Garcia would look. First ever documented celebration of Saturnalia in Limbo to my knowledge - I'm still recovering. You three are a good influence, contributing to the reintegration of minors. 😊

Australian First Nation peoples only have dance and song without mind altering substances

The problem with parsing wisdom from the kaleidoscope of past religions is that humans continue to create god(s) in their own image. Our minds discern differences, our senses do, too, and so evolves science and hierarchical beliefs. Experiences of non-duality (meditation, music, love) create ecstacy by resolving the paradox of the wee messy human practical doing with the interconnected universe being beyond our minds, which cannot be parsed. Truth of our nature, both human and divine resonates with a sense of wholeness. It still thrills me now in my 70s that a string shortened by half will always sound a perfect octave higher. So much for hierarchy. Individuality (the very word is a bundle of paradox)is unbearable without that experience. Fortunately, it is available to all in every moment. 🌷🕊

ecstasy has a lot to do with permission . does one give oneself permission? . is one willing to surrender to rapture? . it is possible to be so chronically guarded, that these ecstatic states are relegated away . a vision of God - to pick something extreme - does not come to those who deserve it; it comes to those who are open . not closed, open

@@rmschindler144 I found this to be true also in my experience as my estatic states were associated with music in context with worship , it has happened in both the Chrstian sect of religion and the Hindu sect of religion I experienced it there as well when I joined in with the singing of the music with a simple love or devotion towards God if I am in a collective place of worship and join in I can enter those states very quickly , I am very drawn and attacked to First Nation peoples of Australia and their dream time teachings due to a dream I had I hade a strong connection with them even though I myself am not indigenous here

@@rmschindler144 yes surrender to God in worship and in singing , the First Nations people of Australia relied mainly on song and dance without need to other things like psychedelics , as other indigenous people practiced
