For many years, before my retirement, a barking dog would appear in my dreams and was always associated with sleeping late. I learned to wake up when I saw the dog, and never got to work late.
I had a dream once that I had a dog, or rather half a dog poking out of my chest. Naturally at first I was perplexed, after a while I tried to Pat it and it immediately it was excited and I was filled with love and joy, the oddity of the dog became a wonderful novelty rather than a curse.
❤🐕🦮🐕🦺 Thank you TJL! Love this topic. My biggest dream, when I was little, was a dream of my beloved dog who had recently passed. He appeared in my dream as a Christ archetype - he passed away, then returned, but for only 3 days, and then he had to go back to Heaven.
I was waiting for this episode for a while and I was so happy to see you posted it today! I was surprised by the dreams with forgetting about the dog and forgetting to feed the dog. I grew up with parakeets and cockatiels and I dreamed so often that I forgot to feed them or clean their cage, or that they flied away and was anxiously looking for them. I am so excited about the next episodes on other symbols! By the way, sometimes humans can smell things as well not just dogs. There is a woman out there that can smell Parkinson's! And I also use my nose to detect if someone is getting an infectious disease, they just smell worse somehow. Thank you!
So right about dogs not being the pets they now are in the recent past. My grandmother, who grew up around the Finger Lakes of western New York said that they seldom had table scraps to feed their dog. The dog was on its own to find its own food.
Pre ordered now ! So excited for your Book 📖 it will be amazing ! Love you guys and the work you do I’ve learnt so much from all 3 of you . I’m a vivid dreamer I must email You my dreams because I have had mystical dreams and big dreams where I’ve encountered the Self ! Sending love & support & gratitude for all of you from UK 🇬🇧
Super trippy this just came out because I had a dream just now from waking up about living in a house where the cats were being froze with some kind of occulors to block their sight, and this whole lore of how the time away from the dogs in the house allows them to have a lot more enjoyment being around the dogs. I think it was an initial female caretaker of the pets explaining this, and the house originally was a cate and then introduced 1 more cat and 2-3 dogs, and I remember the background being 3 women talking with each other like a conversation at the kitchen counter or dinner table, and somehow I was just a floating observer as all these scenes and images played before me and yet I was also even interacting and cuddling with one of the dogs. And later that dog became a person when I entered a super uncomfortable room where the school locker hall all of a sudden became inside a human body, and me and 2 other guys plus the dog as a human were talking about entering the stomach or birth canal (this concept of birth canal as a tight small space came from my recent viewing of fatal breakdown's tragedy of nutty putty where John Jones died in what he mistook as the birth canal portion of a cave). It was weird because the dog as a human expressed his opinion and was laying belly up and naked and it was a totally different and more foreign impression than I got before from the dog. And for whatever reason I had the sensation of the sweat from the dog's balls or dick from just reaching out and grabbing it for some reason because it was there like I had to make sure this was happening and everything remained casual, I let go and my hand was sweaty. So it was like confirmation this was all really happening and the dog as a human said "hey man, I don't wanna go in there." But you guys have fun, and I didn't wanna go either, so I felt excused not to enter even though I was being encouraged and peer pressured to go by the "friends" in my dream, I was scared to go, there may have been something I needed to face in that moment. Instead I had a lucid moment of exiting that scene into an open field of grass at sunset and I was the dog but the dogs hair went from all black to bleached in large areas around the fur, almost human-like to dye the hair or something(I've never dyed my hair) and I saw all these bikers come out of no where doing jumps on the rolling hills of the field, and I was observing myself talk (but it's not really me as the dream main character) saying I can do that, and the bikers said no these are motor bikes, it's different. And I demonstrated my abilities that it's the same, and then there was some moment where tension and conflict arose between me and the biker gang leader but my father, like a vietnamese guy, (not my actual father) came in and said what happened, someone got shot, it's blurry but I think he pulled out the gun, "with this." And I admitted to shooting someone, maybe, based on some earlier part in my dream that I can't remember as well in explainable detail but I know what I see in my recollection. I can't remember if I actually shot or actually admitted or if I observed it all. But it's like that cat/dog part I explained in the beginning was like finding a safe dimension to exist in my dream world, maybe because there was a lot more going on in the dream just coming out of deep sleep compared to the more wakeful state I wanna say. What I think is fascinating for me about this dream is I had a very restless night so I was woken up multiple times and I can say for sure I had multiple REM cycles which are where the dream like states occur and I think that sometimes multiple cycles can be linked, sometimes random, some cycles are forgotten as certain parts of later cycle's dreams take more precedence, cover up or reiterate a message maybe in the psyche, repeated themes are probably huge signs to look for within a single nights rest between REM cycles if it's noticeable. Anyways, thought it'd be fun to share my crazy weird morphologized dream. Thanks.
Dang. I was going to submit a dream that I had a few days ago which involved a dog. It had everything else too though. Easily three paragraphs after fleshing it out. I'll probably still submit it anyway since the dog was only one fleeting aspect of the dream.
Preordered! Just a comment, I really liked this format of going through various dreams. I found it a bit more useful than the deep dive into a single dream.
IMMEDIATELY CLICKED Had a dream once where i was lying down in like a swamp/marsh. And down by the water was a boy and his dog but then suddenly a HUGE crocodile came out of the water and tried to eat them. The kid ran away and the dog tried to fight back but it's leg got bit. On my end i tried to help but for some reason my legs were completely paralyzed. So I'm just yelling run little doggy. But for whatever reason it got away and then miraculous despite the size difference the dog ripped off the crocodiles head and threw it in a direction near me and it's mouth just oozed an abnormal amount of blood. Next thing i know a giant black widow was coming towards me and the kid came back and scared it away. I still couldn't move. Naturally was shocked again by the dog, said thanks and just watched the kid and dog depart together Was so weird because i don't have a dog myself but the next day had a really friendly interaction with a dog in a trail i had never seen before. Always respected dogs way more after all that ❤
The chemical imbalances of hormone shifts can cause depression. I would suggest looking into that along with depression as a two prong approach to deal with it. Low estrogen is no joke and there's a lot we can do to help it. I'm saying this in response to the menopausal woman's dream but also everyone in general.

this is easily one of the best podcasts
You three have gifted the world with a beautiful piece of work, as beautiful as an approaching dog wagging its tail, and I for one thank you.

The last dreamer seems to have repressed feelings for her own inability to accept death.
'Quickly, quickly' ....hmm. Catching up with the times ?
cats would like a word.
Just last night, I had a dream about a dog.
What would Jung say about this?
