I bought my Euroopean spec 2003 MY M5 E39 in 2006. Put 100 000 km on it, great car. Supesprint complete exhaust incl. headers picked up a gain of 30 HP. Quality was good but actually the A8L W12 100 000 km have been even more troublefree.
@@4syth its not but come one its still relevant to a stock e39 m5 when the only diffrence is 20-30 horses right? if this car does a sub 8 minute lap you could say a stock e39 also can do a sub 8 min lap right?
Rai Noor actually its only 40 hp difference and as you mention, weight matters. Also you can suppose there‘s at least 3 people in the M5 since it‘s the Ring taxi.
thanks to our government, buying an E39 M5 now results in €4800 annual tax and €5000 registration tax. Either we have to wait until the car is 30 years old, or we have to dig deep into our bank accounts simply to get permission to drive an M5.
@@gtboard Belgium. Road tax is calculated by how much co2 emissions your car has. If you have 213gr/km of co2, you'll pay +- €650 a year. If you have around 400 like the M5, rather than pay twice as much (which is around €1300), you pay near €5000 a year + another €5000 registration the first year. Makes no sence at all, but this country is fucking rediculous when it comes to road tax
