I usually go lock to lock before turning the car on, get some fluid into the rack. It has helped with the frothing and cuts down on a lot of the whining.
I had the pleasure of being a passenger in an e60 m5 once, the engine and exhaust noise gave me goose bumps. It’s absolutely the best sounding engine in any car ever, if only my pockets were big enough to have one. For the E46 rev matching you need to do an ICV delete and a tune to follow, which makes it easy.
I was so cloae to rolling the dice and buying a V10 M5 but here in Australia they are all SMG :( and watching you drive yours confirms that manual is always the way to go, ALWAYS. Your channel is my favourite content to watch by far so I am even tempted to support your advertisers maybe starting with an intake for my GR Yaris.
I‘m a technician: try this: before you start the engine just lift the car from the ground an turn the whel from lock to lock 30 times and ad oil if necessery. Then start the engine and do the procedure again an keep an eye on the fluid level. Works ever time!😊
I do the same on my E61 and Z3. Engine off. Turn lock to lock several times until the fluid stops dropping. Running the engine too early just creates bubbles and lots of noise.
I did, and I do the same, it doesn't make a difference on the E60 and E92. It's easier to use your steering wheel since the car is already in the air. :)
Sreten, you are simply the best! It is an absolute pleasure to watch and listen to you work on your cars. You have The best attitude. Thank you so much! Happy New Year and all the best!!
Regarding windshield wipers, I only use the BMW original ones - my experience is that they last so much better than any aftermarket ones - tried a bunch of brands but the last ones from BMW were still in good condition after 4 years and 80000 kms, no sqeak and they still wiped off the rain as they should.👌
Because of the temperature difference during the winter your engine bay will be constantly wet. This sound insulation allow the temperature to escape slowly and oder than sound proofing that is its second job. Once removing it there will be a lot of condensation. :)
Thank you! I don't see that being a problem, I haven't noticed anything different. The M3 doesn't come with one from the factory and I haven't heard of condensation being an issue.
Hi Sreten - our buddy Adam Bajrak gave me a great tip about bleeding the power steering fluid circuit. Don't start the engine. Fill the reservoir and unlock the steering column with the key and turn it lock to lock a couple of times and it will get most of the air out of an otherwise drained system. You probably need to top up the reservoir a couple of times while doing this with the engine off. This saves the pump from cavitating on startup. Love the channel! Pete from Mt. Airy MD
Welcome to the CF club, it was just matter of time that you found the proper representation. It's just a wonderfully acoustic material when manufactured properly. OEM quality with just that little extra.

Sreten. Thank you so much for all you do for our entertainment and edumacation. But i drive the 30 year newer BMW 535i more frequently so that's a down the road thing. Unless i give my BMW to my brother ...
Great info to know about the E39 transmission. There are a few us in this area with them and so far no issues transmission wise but we all know it's coming... either that or rod bearings.

I will never own a BMW but my dream car is Alpina 7 series before 2012
This man embodies the spirit that //M used to represent - Thanks for all you do Sreten!
That's a relief! Last video when you told us that the e39 m5 was broken ... depressing! But now, everything is fixed again - and a video out at Christmas: You are the King of repaired BMW's! :-)
That e60 m5 gave me goosebumps after the new carbon fiber intake install. sounds phenomenal !
As always, great content! Keep up the good work Streten. Enjoy time with family and friends, and until the next one in 2024
Man Sreten, this car is a work of art. What a wonderful sound. You're videos are also a work of art. Love this.
@30:10 - I got really curious to see if the V10 badge made it back to the garage :D
Oh the SOUND The Sound. Always wanted a song that I would never tire of and I'm not talking music . Your right foot plays it.
My boyfriend waches you regularly and now because of little cute doggy Mutsy we are watching it together 😅😘
BOOM!! 500.000 subs! Congratulations bro! you deserve all the success thats coming your way :D
Name change to M560 restorations incoming 😂
Wow that V10 is phenomenal. We've got some goosebumps as a Christmas gift. thank you Sreten.
Imagine owning 2 BMWs
Imagine owning 2 Ms
Imagine both are broken💀
It's a symphony of emotion
Well, thats BMW 🤣
Imagine having two other M that doesn't work. 😅
Poetry
oh he has more than 2…😭
Always a great day when Streten uploads a new one!
Alpina B7 in the background looking great!
Nice to see Mutzi again. We missed her!
Everybody talks about your mechanical skills, but nobody talks about your driving skills, i wish i could rev match like that im still learning
Beautiful microfiber intake plenum! ❤
Dear lord, shivers down my spine. I've never wanted an E60 M5 so bad! Great video as usual
Much awaited, much appreciated looking forward to excellent work as always from you.
I usually go lock to lock before turning the car on, get some fluid into the rack. It has helped with the frothing and cuts down on a lot of the whining.
Both my M5s broke down is a pretty special flex 😅
I had the pleasure of being a passenger in an e60 m5 once, the engine and exhaust noise gave me goose bumps. It’s absolutely the best sounding engine in any car ever, if only my pockets were big enough to have one. For the E46 rev matching you need to do an ICV delete and a tune to follow, which makes it easy.
Sreten, you’re not helping my case against my friends with civics
Jokes aside, Merry Christmas, I hope you’re doing well!
Wow I love that Twingo, thats a rare color. Very popular cars here in Colombia! Cheers Sreten
Congrats What a car!!! Sounds amazing 🎉
The M5-V10 and Porsche Carrera GT absolute singing engines that give ear-gasms.. Happy Holidays !
S Tier content, a 1 in a million youtube channel, thank you Streten for always providing quality and quantity in your videos.
when you said two broken M5, I imagined something big! But here you are! Fixing two m5 in no time!
Living in the far north, I had a good laugh when you said the E60 chassis was very well protected against rust lmao
Well, anything made of metal will eventually rust when exposed to a lot salt abuse, but I'm yet to see an E6x that can rust as badly as e39 or e46.
Happy New Year and all the best!!
you should get that microfibre intake for v10 too probably would sound as amazing
god damn haha
CARBONfiber for god sake! It’s not "microfiber" 🙄
@@DavidStutzmann You don't know what you're talking about. Carbonfiber is towel material.
ffs, do you not watch the videos?
It already has it

@@M539Restorations I'm sharing a bad experience I had. Maybe the problem was different for me. Who knows? 🤷🏼♂️
@@ТеодорПетров-у4ъ okay, good to know. I'll keep an eye out! Thank you!
I came here for Mitzi. Ok, and some awesome wrenching. Thanks dude. You make my days better.
Love this. Too many channels restore the cars once and never see updates and repairs on them again.
Fenomenale job mate . Inspired by you so i started doing all de repairs myself on my g31 540i . Will be doing the flexdisk tomorrow 😊
Airy MD
Thank you. This doesn't work with the E60, I tried.
That V10 is a magnificent thing, I'm so glad I've lived in the glory days of the internal combustion engine
Welcome to the CF club, it was just matter of time that you found the proper representation. It's just a wonderfully acoustic material when manufactured properly. OEM quality with just that little extra.
When I haven't got the part or the tools to work on my e46. I watch this man work his magic ❤
This upload was a great Christmas present, another amazing video can’t get enough of this content. I know you hate modifying your cars but this beast is dying for an exhaust it will scream!!!!!
Oh man, you can’t scare people with an intro like that lol! My 01 m5 recently began occasionally making an identical loud squeal/chirp sound upon cold startup. Did the rod bearings about 15k miles ago. Hearing that sound in the video intro immediately followed by the words “rod bearings”, almost made me fill my 👖 with 💩
When he said while removing tensioners " i think you know what we have to do here" i was beging for him to clean them up with that jet. Oh god. Thank you.
Just had my thumb cut off in a dirtbike chain, so im watching all your videos from the sofa waiting for the damn thing too heal up. Big thanks for all your work Sir 👌👌
This became my favourite car channel, such good quality content.
That induction sound is,,,,,, a beautiful harmony of that V10 👌 I could listen to it all day!!!
Its awesome to see a popular Channel based in the same City I recently moved to. Awesome Stuff!!
the E39 wheels and tires are a thing of beauty
Sreten. Thank you so much for all you do for our entertainment and edumacation.
You have me wanting to change out the transmission oil in my not- quite- daily driver 1991 Mercedes 250TD now, to your "patented" 50/ 50 transmission and ATF fluid combo. But i drive the 30 year newer BMW 535i more frequently so that's a down the road thing. Unless i give my BMW to my brother ...
Christmas present of an episode! Thanks for the hard work Sreten!
What a treat! Love M5 content makes me miss my e60 M5 so much, specially after listening to beast roar so mightily!
Great info to know about the E39 transmission. There are a few us in this area with them and so far no issues transmission wise but we all know it's coming... either that or rod bearings.
Sreten I had to stop watching your vids months ago bc it reminded me of all the work I need to do on my car, but couldn't afford to do...hopefully in the new year my raise will allow me to get it running closer to Sreten standards 🤞
I love how Project Raleigh was a trashed beater when you first got it. You've now built it back into it's glory.
Hate it when such a tiny part can create such havoc.
