Mafia 1 remake. The big different in the mafia 1 remake was actually Joe and Scalleta showing up instead of 2 unnamed PS2 characters and the look on Tommy's face when he hear his real name is priceless. He realised was about to happen and accept his fate and the excellent acting from Andrew Bongiorno makes everything better and more emotional. Second close to me is between Mafia 3 rule together ending where Lincoln becomes a good benefactor and honorable mobster. Basically becomes Don Vito Corleone. And Joe's DLC ending. Is really awesome and enjoyable going after Roco and Joe 🖕Luca is too damn funny and theres the funny weird bug where Don Falcone and Clemente swap places which is lol.
I think the reason that Tommy's "yes" in the original (and in Mafia 2) sounds suprised is because in the OG game, Tommy's death was suppose to happen around late 50's, maybe even early 60's if we consider how aged Tommy looks in the OG Ending. The only evidence I can bring up is the car Vito and Joe use in Mafia 1. It's a 1957 Ford Thunderbird. Since Mafia 2 was heavily cut, I guess the developers couldn't bring the (more shorter) game around to last into the late 50's (as the game was suppose to, evidenced by the other cut endings), so they retconned Tommy's death to happen in 1951. Anyway, if he was really supposed to die (let's say) sometime between 1957 and 1963 (between age 57 and 63), then it's no surprise that he was suprised by the "Mr. Angelo" addressing. After someone lives a quiet life for 20+ years, that person easily gets comfortable and starts to think that "the devil no longer lurks in the shadows"... I like the Remake Ending too, but nothing beats Tommy's final speech in the original! And in the OG Ending, while the guy in the light blue suit looks more like Eddie Scarpa, the guy in the orange-brown suit definitely has a heavy resemblance to Joe!
@@MasonPayneJericho Mafia games have cars from the other years for a long time. In the OG mafia 1 2002. You can see cars from 1934/35 in 1930 and cars from 1939/41 in 1938. There's cars from 1955, 1957 in 1951 in mafia 2 And there's cars from 1969 and early 1970's in 1968 in mafia 3 So that doesnt mean much.
My own headcanon is that Tommy wouldve lived a lil bit longer if he didnt announce *I TESTIFIED AGAINST MY FRIENDS AND SERVED EIGHT YEARS IN PRISON* at his daughter's wedding
Say what you want about Mafia DE but it made the original more cinematic and felt more in-depth with the story, really making the characters stand out and the scenes feel so genuine. And Tommy's last words are simplified yet sum up the franchise and everything in it to a tee.
No matter how much i love Vito and want his ending to be cannon i think Lincoln taking over with his underbosses is cannon plus donovan was a great at manipulative Lincoln.
Vito rules. No doubt. For Lincoln's personality, leaving all that behind would be most likely. And in terms of ability, Vito would be the most competent person among the three. And most importantly...... Real Mafia fans would definitely want Vito wins LoL
in my opinion, I think the true ending is, to rule together because in many parts of the game and in the penultimate cutscene it is implied and also I think Lincoln would choose this for safety because it would be very difficult to live as a lone fugitive and also why it is said at the beginning of the game by priest james that Lincoln was trying to fit in and that he thought he had found that in the army and that's why I think Lincoln would choose that because he finally found that and also because in mafias there are usually a lot of turf wars and if we stop to think we will see that in half of the game it is passively a mini war to dominate the districts and Lincoln was one of the best in the war and we saw that he dominated many cities, that's why this is the true ending although also find the ending do vito good, i think the real ending is rule together. this is just my take on the true ending which i believe is canon.
Mafia 1 and DE are the ones i really can't stand. I really dislike them. I would also say Tommy is the best mafia character throughout the whole series so far.

Not at all. He don't deserved. Not after all the mess that he caused in mafia 2.

Mafia 1 and DE had the most impactful endings
Vito taking over the city will always be the canon ending for me
I love how 3:15 vito and joe are both glitched walking
😂😂😂 joe is doing Michael Jackson moon walk dance move
4:34 the saddest ending 🥺
"Joe wasn't part of our deal" 🥺
So for mafia 3
Lincoln dies: power vacuum
Lincoln rules: Lincoln becomes what he sort to destroy
Cassandra rules: city becomes a ghost town
Burk rules: city becomes a lawless waistland
Vito rules: the city prospers
The only game here with ending choices is the underrated Mafia 3 that everyone's shitting on. An unfairly treated phenomenal game.
Also Mafia 2 Mobile

I prefer the original ending of Mafia 1, I like that he thinks he got away with it and then gets sucked back into reality, it's more haunting.
Another big difference is dying alone vs dying surrounded by your family.
