Hi NIU... for U.S. outlets, is there an adapter for the plug that goes into the outlet? The NIU brand charger looks incompatible with the standard home outlets. Thanks!

Hi Stephen! The charger that comes with your scooter will use the local, standardized wall plug for your region. No need for an adapter if you purchase your NIU in the US. :)

hi there,,, i have same bike just bought 2 weeks ago,, while mode 2 is the ideal really, am looking to buy a battery with alot more range, can you help with this?

Hi George. The compatible batteries will depend upon the model you have. For example, if you already have the extended range version of your model, then you should already have the highest capacity batteries we offer. You can check with your local dealer, but it's possible there may not be any higher capacity batteries for you to upgrade to.

Does it matter much if I connect the charger to the wall socket or to the battery first? The manual says battery first, electric supply second - but in the video it's done the other way around: first the wall socket, then the battery.

Hi Reece! Both options should be ok. 👍

At the moment, we don't have a battery swap system in place, but it's an interesting idea! Something for us to consider in the future. 👍

Is there anyway to revive a battery? My battery won't charge, no led lights and the charger just flashes green when plugged in directly. The battery has been sat plugged into a bike that's been stored for 12+ months

We'd recommend taking the battery to a local dealer to see if there is anything that can be done, or if it needs to be replaced.

Hi, that's the issue, you never leave it plugged in for that long, the manual will tell you actually. You should of just charged it at 50% and just left it, in plugged of course, sort of makes sense, wouldn't leave your cell phone plugged in for a year.. That's what I'm doing because from November to March I won't be riding it, rain, cold etc. Take care

The main issue of loading is the battery overload. If the battery is 100% full, you have to disconnect the loader. Now that is a problem if you''re in bed, in the middle of the night. I don't understand why there is no easy to use solution to stop the loading when the battery reaches 100% load. If there was, you could hook up the scooter when coming home and have a full loaded battery in the morning.

Hi John! Our vehicle manuals recommend not charging your batteries for more than 24 hours at a time. If you charge in a dry, moderate temperature environment and do not exceed that timespan for charging, then it should be fine. Shouldn't cause any issues to leave the battery to charge overnight while you sleep. :)

@@niumobility Hi, thanks for your answer. You say the manuals 'recommend' and '... it should be fine', so I'm a little cautious. If the battery is for 100% loaded, can you guarantee that it is not a problem to let the loader connected for the remaining hours up to 12 hours? I don't think the damage that may occur will be covered by the warranty.
It seems though that there is no technical solution to let the battery be connected tot a loader without any risk of damage. Too bad because surely the supplier should make a solution available, even if it is for a fee.

@@Gamonon2 We can understand your caution, but leaving the charger connected for 12 hours is well within the recommended limit. All batteries will lose charge capacity over an extended period of time, but charging within the recommended time and conditions should not cause damage to your battery.
