60 years? I know that was true when this film was made, but next year it will be 70 years! It is absolutely remarkable that she has had such a length of time of leadership.
After Buckingham Palace was bombed, someone raised the question of evacuating the princesses to Canada with the then Queen Elizabeth (later the Queen Mother). Her reply was; "The girls won't leave without me. I won't leave without the King. And the King will NEVER leave."
She's an amazing person and she's the reason I want to take part in politics. Watching this, like I have other documentaries about her, I still can't help but feel in awe of her. There will never be another Queen like her. I can't picture England without her sometimes. I even cried when I watched her coronation. It's been said so many times that it borders on becoming cliche, but it's true that to have such a huge burden on her shoulders... I mean, WOW! I cried because I felt sad for her. I cried thinking if... she had ever had the chance to do so. I have the biggest respect for her majesty.

I was born and raised in a British Commonwealth Country. The Queen, Prince Philip and Prince Andrew visited our City in 1979 on an official visit. I was in the front row of the crowd of people hoping to see her during their walk about. The Queen and Prince Philip stopped right in front of me and they each spoke to me. To this day, and I am now my 60s, it still remains one of the most special moments of my life. RIP Prince Philip, and love live our wonderful Queen 💗

Our family was stripped of our titles and holdings when WWII broke out. So, in essence, I probably understand more as well as have more respect for royal families. I may not be a fan of monarchy, but taking that huge responsibility, a responsibility that will affect millions of people and many country, at the tender age of 25 requires great courage. And doing this kind of thing for 60 years is definitely quite impressive. However, to achieve that maturity level at such a young age, I cant imagine her childhood. I hope a younger member can be well equipped to shed some burdens off her shoulder so she can truly enjoy a life and just be herself.

The Monarchy truly is a necessary and important thing, being French Canadian, I am surrounded by the most anti-British people there is and this documentary really proves my point when I tell sceptics that the Monarchy and the Empire are a reuniting sense of pride, identity and most importantly, a constant, experienced way of keeping peace and well being inside a nation.

I went into NYC to see the Queen and Prince Philip on the day she gave the speech they show from the UN. She also dedicated a memorial park to the British killed on 9/11. I couldn't see much of her, but was able to see Prince Philip fairly well.
No political system is perfect. That said I feel that a constitutional monarchy is the best political system in the world. The more checks and balances in government the better.
Despite any controversial public opinions, here is a woman who has definitely earned her titles, all of them, & proven to the world that sensibility commitment & love not only can, but must prevail. Those who have witnessed her journey & empathized with the weight of The Crown, are blessed beyond their own imagination. When one follows the documentary & footage of her life's work, you can not help but to logically conclude that God is in control, & that any role closely linked to the "Sovereign" is one to respected, revered & protected. I have nothing but the utmost respect for this woman, I a very distant American of Tudor Heritage I can't imagine living a life such as hers, every second of the day planned realizing that you are not a person, but property of the state, I admire her, yet do not envy her. Even though Tudor blood flows in my veins, I could not imagine a life like that....at least here I can be my own person. She is the prime example of what it's like to not be free!

Supposedly, George VI in 1945 suggested that Clement Attlee make Ernest Bevin his Foreign Secretary rather than his original choice of Hugh Dalton. The Monarchy truly is a necessary and important thing, being French Canadian, I am surrounded by the most anti-British people there is and this documentary really proves my point when I tell sceptics that the Monarchy and the Empire are a reuniting sense of pride, identity and most importantly, a constant, experienced way of keeping peace and well being inside a nation.

I went into NYC to see the Queen and Prince Philip on the day she gave the speech they show from the UN. She also dedicated a memorial park to the British killed on 9/11. I couldn't see much of her, but was able to see Prince Philip fairly well.

Despite any controversial public opinions, here is a woman who has definitely earned her titles, all of them, & proven to the world that sensibility commitment & love not only can, but must prevail. Those who have witnessed her journey & empathized with the weight of The Crown, are blessed beyond their own imagination. When one follows the documentary & footage of her life's work, you can not help but to logically conclude that God is in control, & that any role closely linked to the "Sovereign" is one to respected, revered & protected. Thank God for her!
