It is incredible that doctors, intelligent educated people will march for something they don't understand. We cannot 'just stop oil'. it is the lifeblood of our progress and economy. Maybe in 50 years we can, but right now - impossible. For every complex problem, there is a solution which is clear, simple and wrong.
Couldn't agree more, I'm afraid to say I have worked with educated academics before, walking talking 'textbooks' but no real life practical or problem solving skills I found. If we all literally DID just stop using oil dependent machines and equipment with nothing to replace it we would literally cease to function as a country and the economy would collapse. I just don't know why they like to wind the motorists up to the point of provoking violence, they can't change the system and it won't get them anywhere other than a protesting ban.

Motorists should just drive at speed into these protestors breaking limbs backs and crippling them and watch their agonies with life changing injuries as they wait in agony for oil driven vehicles and helicopters to come and help them. Is this where the doctors are instead of in their GP practices assisting patients while campaigning for pay increases when in reality they should have pay cuts for their scarce presence.
I work in the NHS i am a nurse .I agree with their cause and the right to protest. But those doctors for one should they be wearing their uniform out of work and secondly if they have enough energy to protest maybe they could do an extra shift in the hospital.,And what about dk no harm to patients if there was an ambulance or someone in a car with an emergency trying to get to hospitaL . Disgraceful
As a doctor wouldn't it be better if you were in your surgery helping people with immediate problems? You want your freedom to demonstrate but won't allow others to enjoy their freedom!! Get back to your well paid job and benefits!!!!
