I feel more compassion from David than I have ever had from anyone I know. Depression is horrible. I respect him so very much for caring. It is a feeling that I haven’t experienced from humans.
Having listened to pretty much all of Disturbed's back catalogue, I can say with confidence that despite their phenomenal riffs, their heaviest song is this unbelievable ballad. No words describe the emotions that this song brings out in every one of us.
It's hard to pick just one, but I do think a lot of their most powerful stuff is when they dial back the aggression and just let the emotion shine through- this one, Reason to Fight, Sound of Silence, etc. They can really tug on the heart strings when they want to.
THeir tour once was aptly named 'Music as a Weapon'. Music is the worlds best communicator. It can tell so much of a story, with emotion. Whether it's an energized beat, a ballad, angered percussion and heavy guitar rifts. Music is my therapy. I can always turn on something that makes me lose myself and just relax, whether it's for 5 minutes or 5 hours. I miss live shows, and I hope Disturbed comes back around one more time, I need to see them again
David is a treasure. His voice. His compassion. His love of music. His appreciation for his fans. And, his support for those of us who suffer from the horrible diseases of depression and addiction. I love him.
I lost my grandmother a month ago and quite honestly this song is what has gotten me through it. It still hurts like hell but with the guy's help I'll get there

i hate to admit this but i know that Disturbed has been around for a while,but i recently just discovered them myself ,i wished i had discovered them earlier in life.They are such an amazing band and David is such a great soul ,so compassionate to his fans and just awesome around children
That moment that girl will never forget. David Draiman is a person a real person. Not some phony singer that pretends to care about his crowd. Sadly, there are a few of those left.
