I've given instructions that this is to be played at my funeral. I'm not morbid, just been fighting health problems for some time. I think this will give comfort to my family.
THis song brought up so many tears from me, so therapeutic. David's voice is so beautiful and the message is absolutely wonderful. There's a live performance of this I found. It's a fans perspective, not professional. But it's so beautiful, he notices one of his fans bawling and he comes down and has this beautiful moment hugging them and singing with them. It just shows his heart.
This song means so very much to people that have lost people.....and this song helps so many of us deal with the loss. David sings like an angel when he writes songs like this. He is such an amazing talent. Glad you liked it Taylor Family.....
As a HUGE Disturbed fan, I appreciate that you've taken out the time to listen to them. The album that this song is on is a definitely a different album from their usual ones but is still a really good listen. A few more good songs to check out are these: A reason to fight The light Land of confusion (genesis cover) Stricken (heavier but more their normal style) Inside the fire Not sure you can go wrong with any of these songs. These would give you a taste of what disturbed is all about. If you like those then I think moving onto Down with the sickness is the next move. Looking out for the next reaction!
New fan here. (About a year now, Sound of silence made me curious to these guys) 'No more' is a great song too. 'Stronger on your own' Ahhhh, more great Disturbed songs to discover. I did, I love these songs, the great lyrics, this voice. So glad I found Disturbed by accident on YT.
“Remember that people are only guests in your story - the same way you are only a guest in theirs - so make the chapters worth reading.” ― Lauren Klarfeld
The saddest line ever in a lyric... 'Souls who are not remembered cannot survive' This is for my daughter Emily... forever 33 (cancer)... I miss you so much baby.
Thank you for having an open mind and willing to check out Disturbed. I know people who refuse to even try listening to their music because of the genre. Thanks.
Disturbed is very big on mental health and mental well-being, so a lot of their songs are around either mental health, or the struggles that people face. Disturbeds way of reminding us that we're not alone in our struggles
As soon as Disturbed started putting their intense passion into slower songs too, there was never any going back. They were too damn good. We were robbed for years of what they were also capable of, but NOT ANY MORE! Disturbed is all of us. I love that they show the Mexican day of the dead too. We're English as well but still do it. It's a beautiful time to bring those we lost back to us.
😥Thank you for showing us your raw emotions to this powerful, meaningful song. The words are so true ,along with my parents I've lost my husband , I always remember the good memories and I can feel him with me . I didn't think I would like Disturbed but you and they have converted me with this song ! Thank you Craig 🇬🇧
Second time today a reaction to Disturbed made me cry. One of their gentlest and warmest songs. If you search for their performances of this one, you’ll find my favorite: just the band on stage, so simple, so beautiful. Thank you
There are happy-sad songs. They make it easier for you to face deep and painful emotions, ones that are often hard to talk about with family or friends. In the end you feel better and slightly happy to know that someone else felt this deep sadness or other emotion and you aren't the only one in the world who feels that way. That bit of rambling might not make much sense, but I think some of you will understand what I meant. Good reaction, Mr. Taylor.
Great reaction. I love these guys. This album is a softer side of them. I recommend The Light from the Immortalized album. It’s a slightly harder song but has a good message. Thank you so much for doing Disturbed.
The Light would be a great next step into the Dark ... lol! After that perhaps a medium range Disturbed such as Remember, or, Believe then you should be ready for The Sickness Album and anything else by them. Loved your reaction and hoping for more Disturbed!
It is. Personally I think Anywhere Else But Here is a belter. Just the version with Ivan though. Not a bit fan of the female vocalist on the other version.
I loved your reaction to this song, especially tearing up during it. This song always hits me hard, I lost my father in December 2000 due to cancer. I love that Disturbed wrote this song in memory of love ones & friends that everyone has lost. When I 1st saw the video I was completely blown away to the fact that it shows people honoring our preparing for "dia de los Muertos" or day of the dead which is a Mexican tradition. I've always had respect for them anyway & that bumped it up even higher seeing as David is Jewish but he celebrates & holds high value in the different cultures. It's incredible.
My father is at this moment dying from cancer...but I have al lot of GREAT memories!! And I'll hold on to them!! :) We take eveything for granted, while tey are still there.
Woooow...broke me too... I've always maintain this in my thoughts that you never really grow up and you never really lose somebody if you have them in your heart like the song says but letting them know how you feel does your mission so they understand that everything they do matters to you.
That did me in...no clue what the song was about. Coming from a small family, we've lost too many....and some memories can tear me apart. Now it's my turn...I'm trying to leave happy memories. I hope that is what will make people remember about me...I made them laugh. Good request and great reaction. FYI...if needed in other parts of life and don't want anyone to see you cry....roll your eyes to the ceiling and that will stop them.
Another superb reaction! I was not a heavy metal music lover, but David Draiman won me over. I can't wait to watch your reaction to this one. Great job and thanks!
Really pleased you have carried on your disturbed journey... Next step should be a reason to fight and then the light, both have powerful messages and videos. Your reaction was so real and honest thank you 😢
Pretty much everyone I’ve watched react to this song ends up in tears… and, I’m crying every time I watch it. Tears or not.. it’s such a great reminder to LIVE LIVE LIVE… while you’re here!! And keep those you’ve lost alive in your heart!! You were genuine.. thank-you!
I’m not generally a fan of Disturbed but this song really touched my heart. I keep my sons memory alive every moment and talk about him as if he was still alive
My favorite bands are always the ones where you can hear their feelings in the songs, feel their emotions. You know what I mean? I adore this band. I've been in love since I saw them live in 2000. I REALLY can't wait until you hear..... 🎶 Can you feel that? Ah, shit Oh, ah, ah, ah, ah Oh, ah, ah, ah, ah
The masks are created and decorated to honor deceased loved ones. It's part of the annual traditional Mexican holiday dia de Muertos, Day of the Dead. It's November 2nd, also called all souls day. The preceeding days are to honor the souls and it is believed they come back to visit among the living. Then on November 2nd the souls depart back to the other side. It is a festive joyful celebration. I think it's a beautiful tradition.
Great song... always tear up every single time I listen to it. It's equally sad and comforting for those you've lost that you known all your life as it is for those that you've known all of their lives. Again, a simply beautiful song.
This song helped save my life. The live video came out about a month after I lost the love of my life, and a friend sent it to me. Any time I need to let some emotions out, I turn to this song...and I wasn't a Disturbed fan until I heard this.
I love this song so much that I have picked it as one of the songs to be played at my funeral. It has a whole new meaning today though, my mother just passed and we are burying her Friday. This song will be playing in my mind on that day.
My mama died 2 years ago in January. She loved disturbed even at 85 years old. We had tickets to go see them, although she died before we got to go. I played this song at her funeral. Its so true. Hold on to the memories ❤
David is a well educated, spiritually aware person with an amazing voice that he uses to express his deep feelings. I listen every day. I'm a 70 yo grandma who is a total fan. I wish my son, who loves metal music, had shared this band with me years ago. I've always listened to a broad spectrum of music so he should have told me. I'm a bit annoyed with him😂😂😂
Touching reaction, glad ur reacting to them, check out A reason to Fight or the light for then next step on the journey, I think Stricken would be a good listen on their harder side. Enjoy.
A NEW Disturbed fan here, coming from their iconic Sounds of Silence cover. to their Conan live, to Hold on to the Memories. Like you, I'm slowly exploring their music having never been much of a Metal fan. I'm going to give this band a chance, they just seem so real, honest and REAL. Loved your honest reactions, you have a new Subscriber!
I am 52 years old...lost a lot of friends to canser the last years. I have listended to this MANY times. And as an adult male, it still makes my cry. :)
This album, Evolution, has more acoustic songs on it than ever before. But David and the band decided to do this album....just to Evolve their music! This song hits me pretty hard...I have siblings that passed away suddenly, they were both in their early 20's!
Damn. I wish you could see my reaction to this song. I love disturbed and have never seen this. The message of the song couldn't have come at a better time in my life. Cheers!
This song helps me grieve for my dad who passed on valentines day 2020, still cant accept hes not here😥 sleep tight dad. See u again 1 day, love you😭 I'm 45 and this song breaks me every time, I feel like that little boy in the video without me father here...
I listen to this every year since my Dad, my best friend died too early. Since my cancer diagnosis I feel like I let him down. Maybe I'll see him soon. Take nothing for granted people.
Did you listen to ARE YOU READY, OPEN YOUR EYES, VOICES and their new song HEY YOU??? These songs are so NOW!! These messages are more important than ever!! Thanks again for your reaction video. You seem like a lovely person to me with his heart on the right place.
Taylor Family, to add a tiny bit of just slightly heavier Disturbed, please try "The Light". This song should really be your next VERY tiny step. I sincerely think you'll love it!! When you want another softer song...."Uninvited Guest" . But, please try "The Light" next!! You'll be surprised!! This song hit me hard when I first heard it. I lost my dad in 1999 but didn’t find out until 2004 I had lost contact with my dad for a number of years. When I first heard this song all my memories flooded back I cherish every moment I had with him
This song has touched me for many years because after my grandfather passed this song was released and also it was released a little before my father passed nearly a year later after my grandfather died
You should check out “The Light”! It’s another small step towards their hard side while still delivering a beautiful song with a great message. I’m loving your journey through Disturbed and you’ve got me rediscovering them too - thank you!
They’re doing the softer music so they can reach a larger audience for their message. Addiction, mental health, suicide. They are super advocates for this.
One of the reasons I highly recommended this one was to illustrate the power their original songs can have. I think the next step for easing towards their heavier stuff would probably be A Reason to Fight or The Light. Both are also powerful songs with a message. A bit harder metal wise, but not out of your comfort zone. After that, I am not sure. I was not a fan of Disturbed till after they did Sound of Silence, because their earlier stuff was not really to my taste either. Now, I listen to a number of their songs but they are mostly the later ones. Enjoy your journey through their music. I know I have.
Trust me... THE LIGHT...from DISTURBED... is so POWERFUL and inspiration... YOU would love it
Also A Reason To Fight
I've given instructions that this is to be played at my funeral. I'm not morbid, just been fighting health problems for some time. I think this will give comfort to my family.
I hope this comment finds you still fighting the fight that only a few would understand
Just diagnosed with heart failure, but I'm too stubborn to give up yet.😁
David wrote this song after watching the movie Coco with his son. It inspired him to write about losing our loved ones and keeping their memory alive.
This hit hard. I visited my daughters grave today… it will be 4 years in March. My grandson turns 14 tomorrow.. and she would be so proud of him.
Love to you ❤
God bless you. i'll be praying for you God.bless you girl.
I feel your pain and share it as well there are no words that can make it better… lost my daughter as well march of this yr. Bless you and yours
❤
I think I just found the song I want sung at my funeral. So emotional, so full of love. Don't mourn me. Remember me as I am.
THis song brought up so many tears from me, so therapeutic. David's voice is so beautiful and the message is absolutely wonderful. There's a live performance of this I found. Touching song. Makes you realize how those you've loved and lost live through our memories.
this is the first time i have heard this song as well and it got me too.

Looking out for the next reaction!
I find their videos for these songs to carry such a powerful message as well. Gives you an insight into how they bring their vision to life.
Totally agree, all great songs. But... um, maybe a lyric video for Inside the Fire. The images are pretty intense especially for the unsuspecting.
New fan here. (About a year now, Sound of silence made me curious to these guys)
'No more' is a great song too.
'Stronger on your own'
Ahhhh, more great Disturbed songs to discover.
I did, I love these songs, the great lyrics, this voice.
So glad I found Disturbed by accident on YT.
My favorite reactions from him are of Disturbed!
Love the light, stricken and down with the sickness… all my faves!

Very powerful song indeed. I've lost most of my family and this song kills me.

You should absolutely do A Reason To Fight or The Light...both softer songs and just utterly amazing songs as well.
Five Finger Death Punch. Wrong side of Heaven. I promise you… it is absolutely brilliant

I LOVE THIS BAND
Really pleased you have carried on your disturbed journey... Next step should be a reason to fight and then the light, both have powerful messages and videos. Your reaction was so real and honest thank you 😢
I had a reason to fight on repeat for months. LOVE that song and the film clip is AWESOME.
I 100% agree with A Reason to Fight and The Light
I love 💕 this message
YAAAAS!!!!! EXCITED TO WATCH ♡
I have been pleasantly surprised by Disturbed. I need to take out some of their CDs from the library. Thanks for the upload!
A reason to fight is an amazing song!
This was a tribute to Chester Bennington, Chris Cornell and others that the music industry lost…❤️🙏❤️
R.I.P to them. We miss them...
Aww the feels. I cried with you. I like that it was "pleasant" suprise. :) Hugs
I listen to disturb for 10 years and this is the most powerful song they made I cry for the whole song
My favorite bands are always the ones where you can hear their feelings in the songs, feel their emotions. You know what I mean? I adore this band. I've been in love since I saw them live in 2000.
I REALLY can't wait until you hear.....
🎶 Can you feel that?
Ah, shit
Oh, ah, ah, ah, ah
Oh, ah, ah, ah, ah
Disturbed really gave the world a great gift with this song ❤
The videos complete the emotion he portrays in this and reason to fight. Both heartbreakingly beautiful
Phew, Disturbed amazes me every time! A powerful voice, with a thoughtful-powerful message. ❤
Omg. I love this song. Want it played at my celebration of life when the time comes.
The masks are created and decorated to honor deceased loved ones.
It's part of the annual traditional Mexican holiday dia de Muertos, Day of the Dead.

I think it's a beautiful tradition.
An amazing song by the brilliance that is disturbed
You right dude. I balled the first time i heard it too❤
This song seems to mean even more in this terrible time of Covid loss. Blessings to you and your family. Stay safe and well.
I'm here cos of your reaction to sound of silence.... This is my first time hearing this song too and now I'm bawling my eyes out😭❣️🇦🇺
Wow, such a touching song and video. Unbelievable, powerful. So true though, hold on to the memories. Thank you for reacting to this video.
🤯😭 Damn I didn't see that coming AWESOME ☮️🎶
I really love your reactions, true and heartfelt!
This still resonates so much, especially as it coincided with time of my cousin's passing aged just 44 in 2018 🙏❤️🏴
Great song... always tear up every single time I listen to it. It's equally sad and comforting for those you've lost that you known all your life as it is for those that you've known all of their lives. Again, a simply beautiful song.
I’m so glad you picked the official video! There is a LIVE version that is really good but I love the visuals in this one.
This is the first time I’ve heard this song and it will be played at my funeral.
Thank you so much for playing this song and your honest reaction. Disturbed have so many dimensions.
it's so touching, watching you while you react
This song helped save my life. The live video came out about a month after I lost the love of my life, and a friend sent it to me. Any time I need to let some emotions out, I turn to this song...and I wasn't a Disturbed fan until I heard this.
I love your heartfelt reactions.
Thank you. ❤
The live version, that really made me sob like a baby! So very emotional 💔
David said he wrote it after watching the movie “Coco”. It’s about the Mexican tradition “night of the dead”,
I love this song so much that I have picked it as one of the songs to be played at my funeral. It has a whole new meaning today though, my mother just passed and we are burying her Friday. This song will be playing in my mind on that day.

I don't like heavy metal but was very pleasantly surprised. Beautiful song.
I'm a bit annoyed with him😂😂😂
Super melódi I Love
😢❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤
Touching reaction, glad ur reacting to them, check out A reason to Fight or the light for then next step on the journey, I think Stricken would be a good listen on their harder side. Enjoy.

This song hits me pretty hard...I have siblings that passed away suddenly, they were both in their early 20's!
Beautiful reaction, thank you for NOT editing out your emotions. For one of their 'harder' songs, please check out Stupify (language warning).
Lets get stupified... :-)
Damn. I wish you could see my reaction to this song. I love disturbed and have never seen this. The message of the song couldn't have come at a better time in my life. Cheers!
This track truly gets me every time I hear it
This song helps me grieve for my dad who passed on valentines day 2020, still cant accept hes not here😥 sleep tight dad. See u again 1 day, love you😭 I'm 45 and this song breaks me every time, I feel like that little boy in the video without me father here...

Thank you, love your reactions!!
Dude that song the first time I heard it brought me to tears so yeah it helps a lot of people
Just Beautiful!
I don't know if anyone had yet suggested their song 'Univited Guest', but I can guarantee you will love it.
This song always gets me but the live in concert video is even more emotional!
This song hit me hard when I first heard it. I lost my dad in 1999 but didn’t find out until 2004 I had lost contact with my dad for a number of years. When I first heard this song all my memories flooded back I cherish every moment I had with him
The only person left on my side of my family is my brother. We had a HUGE family, and they are all gone. This one slew me.
This song has touched me for many years because after my grandfather passed this song was released and also it was released a little before my father passed nearly a year later after my grandfather died
Dude, keep going down this Disturbed rabbit hole.
You should check out “The Light”! It’s another small step towards their hard side while still delivering a beautiful song with a great message. I’m loving your journey through Disturbed and you’ve got me rediscovering them too - thank you!
This one will bring on the tears.
Beautiful!!
They’re doing the softer music so they can reach a larger audience for their message. Addiction, mental health, suicide. They are super advocates for this.
Beautiful song!!

I too cried the first time I heard this song.
