  • “ALL IS SILENT” - This is the opening line to a new short film by Frederick Shelbourne. It begins with a piece of Italian literature, a phrase from the melodious poet Giosuè Carducci in his harmonious Ode al Clitumno; a classical poem about a place that exists in a secret spot in Umbria, a place that has been the inspiration of great poets like Lord Byron. The film is narrated through a multitude of senses where entwining moving image, music, literature and photography portray the essence of the story line. Narrated through the eyes of Filippo Scarafia (the Italian actor from the film "Terraferma" by Emanuele Crialese, presented at the 68th Venice International Film Festival, winning the special jury prize), it is a passionate journey, discovering a mystic presence that is Umbria, luring its audience to come and find the green lands of this incredible region of Italy.
