Just came across your channel. Excellent video and it comes right on time, I am looking to upgrade from my Honda VTX 1800. Been looking at the GW. Never paid to much attention to the Valkyrie before until I came across a beautiful 2014 for sale today. Doing my research the only thing I wish it had that the GW will give me is the reverse feature, plus the DTC feature is a nice options as well. I am an Airborne vet and father time has caught up with my knees. Having a reverse is very appealing. Sub!
Thank you for watching and thank you for subscribing. I did love the reverse on my Goldwing. I do find myself on the Valkyrie being more cautious on the angle of the parking lot as I pull in. And then I console myself with the fact that it’s 150 pounds lighter than my 2005 Goldwing. But I still don’t wanna get the parking wrong on a bad angle. The other thing is the seat it’s not as comfortable as my Goldwing, I have an aftermarket cushion. But there’s something about it that I just absolutely love. Thank you again for watching and thank you for your service!
@@tgmotorider.narratinglifeo3480 I must admit the 150 lbs difference is appealing. My VTX is also a heavy ride but I am use to it. If I had the room I would own all 3, the VTX, Valkyrie and GW, that would be the holy trinity :) LOL. Its hard for me the let the VTX go, beast of a bike, dependable, low to the ground and his the power I need and has that growl I love. That bike and I have been through thick and thin together. And being that I live here in Brooklyn great get around bike. I took a look at the 2024 GW the other day and of course the GW is a legend. I could live with a 2018-2021 GW and save some money instead of getting a 2024 with is $24K for the bagger model which is all I need. I sat on it and of course its a bit taller but my feet were still flat on the ground, but it felt a little plasticky to me, ( which others have noted in other reviews). But I can live with that, having the DTC while riding in NYC is a nice touch I think, and you can always switch to manual. I am diff going to get one in time...
I am bummed that I am not currently averaging 15,000 miles a year on my 2015 Valkyrie. I have had it for a year and a half. I bought it with only 590 miles. The ODO is currently at 9,350 now. Next steps, upgrade to a Corbin custom seat, a new Madstad windscreen and eventually install the lower accessory lights. I too enjoy this unique muscle bike. I love the quiet engine. Although, it sounds like a giant turbine engine spooling up as I throttle through the gears. I call it my 2 wheeled Ferrari.
Let’s face it, that thing is a “BEAST” that Honda unleashed on the world like a Godzilla on two wheels! There’s nothing dainty about that “muscle bike” as it’s called!! I love it!!! 👍
I love my valkyrie. It's an absolute unit. And i agree with pretty much everything you say except the abs, i dont think it needs it. Ive ridden both models with and without abs and that bike needs a steady hand on the throttle that's disciplined in throttle control. Its a weapon that seems to have one goal in mind and thats to kill you first opportunity it gets. I just wanted to add i think abs takes away some of the soul and personality of this specific bike. Unlike a the new Indian scout 2025 model, that bike absolutely needs abs its a 1250 cc on a maybe 400 pound bike making 111hp its to fast to rely on standard brakes.
It does not have creature comforts and I had to add a seat cushion because the stock seat is terrible. But there’s just something about it. I traded a Goldwing for it.
I have a 2014 Valkyrie, do you feel the stock headlight is not up to par...you seem to be riding with your brights on all the time as I sometimes do. I wonder if the Honda fog lights would be worth the money?
I did like the fog lights on my 05 Goldwing. And yes, I do leave my highbeam on a lot. I like to be seen and at night it does make it much easier to see. The headlight situation is tolerable, but there’s no harm in some fog lights either.
I have just sold my VFR1200X Crosstourer - too much weight high up, plus too easy to find myself doing 30mph more than I think I am. How does this F6C compare from that point of view?
The VFR is definitely more twitchy than the Valkyrie. If you rev and pop second or third on the Valkyrie, it will takeoff fast. But the VFR in sport mode is a beast.
I test drove this from a seller and felt it was not as quick as my 2023 FJR1300 Es. Is that a fair assessment ? I did not go through the purchase because I felt I am not getting something that I am looking for. I felt the FJR was faster or atleast felt faster even though it is only 1300CC and inline 4. Please let me know if that is inaccurate.
I think you’re right, the FJR 1300 is my favorite sport tourer ever. I did the full review on Tg MotoRider. The FJR has way more high-end and a better top speed. Enjoy your ride, brother.
Lol I like how on the blue ones they came with blacked out chrome and silver pieces...I am slowly switching out those parts on my red one as I come across them.
You have a nice easy flowing way of expressing yourself. Thanks for the review.
Thank you for watching

Love mine super happy
the valk is one of my faves
I’m wondering how it would handle a long tour. Unlike the the Goldwing, it lacks creature comforts for a long distant trip. What’s the consensus?

I wish they still made these, don't understand why the fury is still made, but not this....
When are you going to test drive the triumph rocket 111, the older model? Maybe even buy one 😅
Hmmm…

Jet, smooth acceleration. Low center of gravity. Torque Torque Torque!
The Valkyrie is more muscle then the v max…I have both💕

@@tgmotorider.narratinglifeo3480 thanks sir. As I mentioned waiting for your Vmax 1700 review and your 20th motorcycle

Have you ever ridden the Honda Rune
@@johnstedmon7482 no but it looks outrageously cool
No 6 th gear needed. Absolutely not needed.. 75 mph is like 2000 rpm. With a windshield you really don’t want to go much over 80 mph.
...and you get 100 flb of torque at 2k rpm.
I disagree, it’s not butch it’s more of a Chad.
thats a big engine for a motorcycle
