And your comments on the quality of the series give me hope that something I've dreamed of since 1993 (my personal fan casting back then had Chris O'Donnell fresh off Three Muskateers as Rand, for example) has been done right. Well done man! (Btw, that makes me realize how it would be a fun to look back at fan casting suggestions going back to the 90s and how they evolved and changed as they aged out of of role.)

I have truly been so emotional watching this and the livestreams. I started the books about 6 months before the show was first announced and my excitement for it led into this amazing beautiful community and in so many ways, you and The Innkeeper, and Daniel and everyone else are just as much characters in my Wheel of Time journey as any of the book characters. 2020 was a hell of a year for all of us and having a community to really share in looking toward the future with hope and joy was and continues to be incredibly cathartic and comforting. Thank you for all you do and I am so thrilled to see you getting the recognition you deserve for being a part of what makes this fandom so beautiful. ❤

Loved you video. It reminded me of where I grew up. All the times I went to London, I have never managed to watching the changing of the guard. 10 Downing Street was never like that when I was young. It is only because of the IRA that all the fencing and the security were installed. This will never change due to the every changing threats through out the world order to Western Governments. The London Eye was supposed to be up for only 5yrs. As you can see, that change pretty quickly. 11th November isn't a holiday. It started due to the World War One ending on the 11th November, at the 11th Hour of the 11th Month. This day is a public hoiliday in France and Belgium. Rememberance day, is also for all soldiers in all conflicts fought by the UK. Prior to Covid. There was no issue into getting into Westminster Abbey. You just imply woalked in. I've never had an issue walking on the "wrong" side of the pavement. Great video. Many thanks for the tour of London. Great interviewing.

The first books always set up the story for any great series. Especially with all the naive young MCs we have, there is not much that can be shown to highlight all that's yet to come. As a long time fan I can't wait to see how they potray the characters!!! So excited for the show!!!

I just watched the first 3 episodes (it is 11-19 as i type) i am a big fan of the books (have read the entire series 4 or 5 times over the years), i have to say the costumes are excellent, but i also have to say the timing and intro of characters and places visited, is way off, to the point i started to become frustrated and maybe a little angry, to be clear, why was Thom not in the 2 rivers right from the start?, and why doesnt he look anything like the book description? also why didnt they cover Nynaeve finding them in bearlon? all of this is in the first half of the first book, it went on and on like this, that was my first clue that these movie people were going to change things however they saw fit. even though they have all the source material readily available, they could have one of the greatest fantasy series ever put onto film, but if they keep going like this, im not sure that will turn out to be true. So Naeblis, quit bootlikking the showrunners, directors and writers and speak the truth.
WoT on Rotten Tomatoes has now dropped to 59%, which is pretty close to all the 3 out of 5 scores I'm seeing in publication reviews. "Good but not great" and "those hoping for it to keep closely to the books will be disappointed" type of comments. I doubt very much that Amazon are going to spend $100m plus a season over 8 seasons or more for a "3 out of 5" show that seems will almost inevitably lose a percentage of the fan base. Near $1 billion for a "good not great" show in a highly competitive streaming market? I don't think so, so either there is some improvement or this is looking like a 3 or 4 season unfinished saga... a WoT version 2, that didn't quite work. Does the market need a WoT version 2 that is "good but not great"? I suspect we will see that it doesn't.
This all seems a bit premature. Let’s see how it does once the full season has actually been released to the public before making predictions of doom and gloom.

@@jamiecare1042 Having just watched all 3 episodes, and being part way through my 4th reading of the books, I'm afraid the show really isn't that great. The notion that they are going to spend nearly $1b on making 8 or more seasons at that level of quality, with the dialogue as it is, the silly moves away from the books... sorry, but I can't see it. Perrin.. married and killing his wife Mat - from a dysfunctional family, the Cauthon's now wasters and drunks Nynaeve - now no parents and somehow brought in from elsewhere as a baby, simply to give cover to the nonsense that the Dragon could be female. No Elyas, Perrin just has to find his own way with the wolves Moiraine wounded and having to find help from Liandrin and the Reds Trollocs not following the party into Shadar Logoth Nynaeve missing from all the early part of the escape, so losing all the narrative between her and Moiraine. Now she's unhappy with Moiraine just because the previous Wisdom was turned down. It seems no Elaine and Caemlyn until season 2, so book equivalent 3 rather than book 1 and so many little changes here and there all together it just leaves you wondering "why?". It's WoT Version 2, not that bad, not that good.... deeply annoying I suspect for many who've read the novels for years. With the current standard and pace (seemingly too slow but missing so much out) I honestly can't see amazon spending near $1b to finish the story. It had better improve or 3 or 4 seasons is all you'll get.

Well I woke up hoping I had a nightmare, unfortunately, it wasn't a dream. It was a living nightmare. As someone who read the first book when it came out, and subsequently read it over 50 times both in hard back and through audible. This is awful. Anyone who has read the first book knows that the first episode has ZERO continuity with the books, Perrin wasn't married, Egwene and rand never boned, LAN would never have gotten naked with Morraine, Matt's a thief, Perrin kills his wife?, the Aes Sedai ring are wrong, one trolloc takes out a heron mark blademaster while L'an is killing them in droves when not even L'an has a Heron marked sword, Nynaeve gets snatched up by trollocs, Padin Fain is not a short fat, balding white guy, a fade didn't bring the Trollocs to the two rivers, Padin Fain did through a way gate, Egwene was not a member of the womens circle, a wisdom doesn't swear to a life of no marriage, or kids, Morrain knew it was a male she was looking for born on the mountainside of Dragonmount, Nynaeve was an orphan?, I could go on, the cast absolutely doesn't match any characters except Morraine and maybe a short Rand. This is a nightmare. Dear Amazon, please send me a ticket to Where a Robert Jordan is laid with flowers and apology letter from his fans that understand half of what I'm saying. Think I'll go watch Battlefield Earth, their screen writers didn't read the books either. 🤮🤮🤮
I knew it was going to be bad, this is like Pee Wee Hermann bad. Casting is awful, screenwriters apparently didn't read any of the books. 🤦🏻♂️ Disaster! Robert Jordan is rolling over in his grave.
Good God was WOT the series a piece of $hit so far. Small changes I'll accept, but the scope of those changes is 100% unacceptable. I LOVE that series and just they've changed soooooo much it's no longer WOT, it's like some of brand, generic WOT rip off.

WoT on Rotten Tomatoes has now dropped to 59%, which is pretty close to all the 3 out of 5 scores I'm seeing in publication reviews.
"Good but not great" and "those hoping for it to keep closely to the books will be disappointed" type of comments.
I doubt very much that Amazon are going to spend $100m plus a season over 8 seasons or more for a "3 out of 5" show that seems will almost inevitably lose a percentage of the fan base.
Near $1 billion for a "good not great" show in a highly competitive streaming market? I don't think so, so either there is some improvement or this is looking like a 3 or 4 season unfinished saga... a WoT version 2, that didn't quite work.
Does the market need a WoT version 2 that is "good but not great"? I suspect we will see that it doesn't.
This all seems a bit premature. Let’s see how it does once the full season has actually been released to the public before making predictions of doom and gloom.

@@jamiecare1042 Having just watched all 3 episodes, and being part way through my 4th reading of the books, I'm afraid the show really isn't that great.
The notion that they are going to spend nearly $1b on making 8 or more seasons at that level of quality, with the dialogue as it is, the silly moves away from the books... sorry, but I can't see it.
Perrin.. married and killing his wife
Mat - from a dysfunctional family, the Cauthon's now wasters and drunks
Nynaeve - now no parents and somehow brought in from elsewhere as a baby, simply to give cover to the nonsense that the Dragon could be female.
No Elyas, Perrin just has to find his own way with the wolves
Moiraine wounded and having to find help from Liandrin and the Reds
Trollocs not following the party into Shadar Logoth
Nynaeve missing from all the early part of the escape, so losing all the narrative between her and Moiraine. Now she's unhappy with Moiraine just because the previous Wisdom was turned down.
It seems no Elaine and Caemlyn until season 2, so book equivalent 3 rather than book 1
and so many little changes here and there all together it just leaves you wondering "why?".
It's WoT Version 2, not that bad, not that good.... deeply annoying I suspect for many who've read the novels for years.
With the current standard and pace (seemingly too slow but missing so much out) I honestly can't see amazon spending near $1b to finish the story.
It had better improve or 3 or 4 seasons is all you'll get.

Most shows need a season to really get going. If your biggest complaint is diversion from the books, we’ll probably continue to disagree. I’m watching with 2 friends who know nothing about the series, so I’ll get back to you with their reviews!

Well I woke up hoping I had a nightmare, unfortunately, it wasn't a dream. It was a living nightmare. As someone who read the first book when it came out, and subsequently read it over 50 times both in hard back and through audible. This is awful. Anyone who has read the first book knows that the first episode has ZERO continuity with the books, Perrin wasn't married, Egwene and rand never boned, LAN would never have gotten naked with Morraine, Matt's a thief, Perrin kills his wife?, the Aes Sedai ring are wrong, one trolloc takes out a heron mark blademaster while L'an is killing them in droves when not even L'an has a Heron marked sword, Nynaeve gets snatched up by trollocs, Padin Fain is not a short fat, balding white guy, a fade didn't bring the Trollocs to the two rivers, Padin Fain did through a way gate, Egwene was not a member of the womens circle, a wisdom doesn't swear to a life of no marriage, or kids, Morrain knew it was a male she was looking for born on the mountainside of Dragonmount, Nynaeve was an orphan?, I could go on, the cast absolutely doesn't match any characters except Morraine and maybe a short Rand. This is a nightmare. Dear Amazon, please send me a ticket to Where a Robert Jordan is laid with flowers and apology letter from his fans that understand half of what I'm saying. Think I'll go watch Battlefield Earth, their screen writers didn't read the books either. 🤮🤮🤮
I knew it was going to be bad, this is like Pee Wee Hermann bad. Casting is awful, screenwriters apparently didn't read any of the books. 🤦🏻♂️ Disaster! Robert Jordan is rolling over in his grave.

Good God was WOT the series a piece of $hit so far. Small changes I'll accept, but the scope of those changes is 100% unacceptable. I LOVE that series and just they've changed soooooo much it's no longer WOT, it's like some of brand, generic WOT rip off.
