1985-1987 manual for the original glock 17 models go for crazy prices. The 85's can bring well over $1000, couple hundred a piece for later model ones. Gun collectors that try to build whole original sets pay quite a premium for them.

I paid $1.25 for the juicer and sold it for $125 or $150. The lady that bought it did a review and said she used it right away and loves it.

Our thrift store was given a 1950s Grundig console stereo a few years ago by an elderly couple who had purchased a hutch from us, and wanted to make space in their dining room for their new purchase. After getting the solid state, mid-century unit back to our store, we discovered that the turntable was not working, so one of our volunteers who knew a thing or two about old record players, worked on it for a day and got it to work.
I knew about Grundig consoles, because my father purchased one in the 1960s when they were living in Europe. They’re made in Germany.
The unit sold for $500.00, but could probably have sold for much more.
Now this unit and units like it would probably be difficult to sell online due to their size, but the smaller table-top units could probably be shipped with some care to prevent damage.

We had a dope league on NCAA 14. Still friends with some of the people to this day. The rarity has increased because of the ongoing controversy with not paying players. On that game they used real players. They couldn't use their names, but you could definitely tell it was them. If I remember correctly you could even add the real names.

TIP on cast iron. Set it on a flat surface. If it spins easily, it is warped (permanently damaged) and not worth much (if the buyer knows what they're doing). Another valuable item to watch out for are vintage cowboy boots that were made in the U.S.
Check comps on eBay for Tony Lama black label, for example. Made in Mexico aren't worth as much, but are far more valuable/better made than the ones that don't indicate where they're made (China or kids boots made in India). Tony Lama boots made in Italy are probably valuable, too -- just don't see them often.

I’m loving your TH-cam channel and the effort you put into it for free content for us! Thank you!!! I had a funny thing happen to me during my beginning voyage into the reselling/flipping market. I had purchased some Scentsy items in bulk from a garage sale and the lady had known my FB from a comment I had left asking if the items were still available at the sale. She confirmed. I payed for the items for the price negotiated. A fair sale. A week later I posted one of the Scentsy burners on market place with a couple wax bars for a higher price than I bought it for, (not by much, irregardless) and she attempted to “blast” me on marketplace for selling the item for the price I desired to sell it for which was an according value to the item. Nothing outrageous whatsoever. She basically got angry that I was utilizing the FREE MARKET! Anyone ever have issues with this? Anyone question your intentions when hitting the thrift store and buying a lot of stuff? Would love some open convo. I respectfully private messaged her and put her in her place. That our sale was negotiated, and complete. And what I chose to do with the items was out of her control.

Heath ceramic ware is worth a lot. Full size plates and bowls go for around $50 each and saucer/cup pairs go for about $25 each - especially older ones with glazes that are no longer produced by the company today. They were made in Cali, but i find them every once in a while even in the midwest.

BOLO. Wilton cake pans. Usually pick them up for under $2. Collected 43 of them. Took them to Phoenix Bakery School. Sold 21 of them for $8 each. Look them up on eBay. Very easy money.

      @spacegamer85 3 ปีที่แล้ว

I used to sell Wilton cake pans but the spread in my opinion is not enough to make them profitable especially since they are slow sellers. Going to a baking school to sell them was genius and I tip my hat to you for the tip. I ended up getting rid of most of my inventory selling to a cake shop.

You forgot about TVS! Flipping stuff those on FB marketplace was the easiest for me. Inspired to get rid of my student and credit card debt (close to 26k). I started flipping TVs on FB marketplace and that helped me to do that PLUS create a good savings fund for the future (only doing it in my spare time - surpassing by much my hourly rate in my actual job - 30/hr vs 105-115/hr)
    Here's a snapshot:
    2021 - $66,958 in sales ($35,239 profit)
    2022 so far - $37,550 sales ($18,880 profit)
Not bad for a part time gig!

Dang not a bad come up on that $8 blender. I've been flipping so long it's hard to think of my personal best but recently I picked up 3 rare 1oz silver bars for $32ea and sold one on eBay for $399. A couple years ago I picked up a rare 1oz silver bar for $18 and sold it within a week for $800 on eBay. That might be my personal best. That's what I specialize in, vintage silver/gold bullion, coins, sterling jewelry, etc...so I go to coin shops and coin shows but watching all you guys recently I went to 2 garage sales today. Haven't been in years. 1 was a bust but I got a Daiwa saltwater fishing reel for $10 and there's none listed at the moment but 7 sold comps for $50-$100 in used condition. Score. 💪🏻

  • @Narbyful

AA Book - yes. I sold one that was first printing of...2nd edition? Years ago. I went for counseling for insomnia. My counselor told me, with my ebay flipping, to watch for that book. So I sorta filed that away in my head. About 4 months later, at a big church sale, looking through books and...well, lookie there, was that book. And hardbacks were 25 cents. I went home, photographed and posted it up. And the messages started immediately: Is there a typo on page VI in the forward? There was, so I added a photo of that to my ad. And then the offers started. And I turned them down, as this was back when ebay was mostly auctions and occasionally taking an offer. In the end. sold for $235, I think. Yep, you find an older AA manual, look it up! For sure.

Sold a small griswold skillet for $800. It was rare. They're not valued at that, but I sold it at just the right time. This skillet was extremely rare because they were made in the 1920's when families were bigger. Not a lot of use for a small pan. Also, there are two different Griswold logos, slant and block. This particular pan was block which is more rare. The pan I sold also had what is called a heat ring which cost more to get. All of that made the one I sold triple rare. The big ones are valuable, but sometimes size really doesn't matter. I hope this is helpful to someone.

I've known about the Vitamix and old perfumes. Not so much on the video games or the trackball mouse, but I have bought them thrift to use! The old German camera I heard was good, but I didn't know that the tall ones are the best! Didn't think about hood ornaments and I am a car guy & was a long-haul trucker. If you find old hat pin and uniform pins, but no reproductions they're good, also RR & transit lines. Don't overlook older hand tools like ratches, sockets, wrenches and toolboxes! Snap-On, Mac, Matco, European brands vintage VW in a round box blue & chrome or silver from Hazlett, repro not so much.

Personal bolos: Black Panther Newspapers, Sealed Video Games (too this day, my best ever sale $800+), Vintage Remington Pocket Knives (American Flag) - paid a dollar, flipped for $150 in less than a day, Vintage Hats, Vintage Jewelry, All Types of Vinyl Records (have been able to find extremely cheap - $0.50-1 / per), not for musical content (necessarily - have sold many for that purpose, but I have found, this seems better / more unique), they don’t need to be valuable at all in order for them to be broken and then resold as an art supply / etc. (this really comes down to marketing), Vintage Keychains (mine happen to be rare and handmade during the 80s… but they have sold / are selling well), and Much Much More! Don’t be afraid to take chances on things every once in awhile, it’s awesome to learn about all kinds of things, and you’ll figure out what strategies / items works best for you!
