great comparison. I like my Arlo Pro 2 with free cloud storage for 7 days. I also have power cable attached to it for all time.

Looks like a great security camera.I especially like the fact its wireless, rechargeable batteries and the fact that you can get a solar panel to add to its rechargeable feature. Excellent video.

Thank you for the excellent review. I have the Pro 2 and have been happy with the audio and color. My audio seems to be much stronger than that shown in your presentation. The features of the Ultra have me longing to upgrade. The main feature is the built in spot light and the charging port. They are outstanding.
Thanks for the comparison, I've been rocking 6 Arlo Pro's since they came out. I didn't pay much attention to any of the newer iterations but they are truly superior, especially that color night vision!

When you say you plugged in an external hard drive to back up your bay station would you even need a subscription to save your footage? I have Arlo pro 2 Cameras

I was wondering the same thing. I would think it wouldn't be necessary to have the subscription if you're backing everything up to an external hard drive.. however I am not sure if some of the alert features are accessible without the subscription.
If you want the special features like Advanced Object detection, Package detection, activity zones and intelligent alerts then you will need to get the subscription.

Great video, Thanks - I do need your help with missing topics: Wireless Range, how far can a camera be away from the base (i.e. camera outside of the garage with 4 walls and 130 feet from the base unite, will the camera function normally? 2nd, how long doe the battery last when motion detection is on.
I currently have an Arlo Pro 2 System with 5 cameras. Love them. I’d love to try out the new arlo pro 3 system. But also I’m a Tech junkie, so I have a whole bunch of smart home products. Great video. I see the color differences but it’s still good video. to me, the point of a camera system is for security purposes, and that’s good enough. Thanks for your great videos.

You did a fantastic job with this video. I love that you covered all three cameras in the product range. The one thing I would change is during each of the product tests, I would have left the name of the product you are testing up on the screen at all times during each test.

Like there are so many great reviews for the pro 2 on the web, Amazon has thousands of them, I was going to purchase on the Costco black Friday sale @ $100 off. I guess I have a couple of weeks to figure it out.
They seem like solid cameras. I like on Arlo 2 the magnetic and versatility of it
I'm really finding your videos helpful and informative. I just started looking into a camera system and i didn't realize how hard a decision this would be!! I'm really leaning towards the Arlo because its google assistant compatible and still has local storage. Have you done any comparison videos for google assistant systems?
Great video and showing the differences between the versions. And I definitely like the plug in feature better on the 3 vs. the 2. The one thing I would really like to see is how the battery life compares between the three. I would definitely would not want to be charging the batteries every month or two and with the high resolution, I would expect more of a drain on the battery. Any idea on battery life skipping what the manual indicates? Thanks for the good information!

Juan Quintanilla I have the pro and the pro 2 and original arlo. Unless you are looking for freckles on your intruder then the pro 2 is absolutely fine
