I found this very useful. I've driven 900 miles in mine over the last 6 months (including 5 weeks of lockdown) and this has told me things that I didn't know.
@@GoGreenAutos but how does it work, I mean I know you rent the battery from them but what do you get for this? Free battery change whenever you run out of juice - or how?
Oh yes, MOST USEFUL. Looks like the one Matt sold me. Welcome little stranger. A video like this says more than a 200 page bland instruction manual. Full marks.
The radio was already fitted, including a built-in disc player - wow. However, as I'm tall, it restricts my legs to some extent. After initial doubts, my wife is now a fan of this car!
No. All EVs have a 12v battery as well as the traction battery (which is typically 400v lithium). The 12v battery powers lights, wipers, ECUs as everything is standard 12v like all other cars.

Hi Matt - What's the deal with owned batteries? Can you buy the battery from Renault?
Currently, no, you can't buy the battery. But there's plenty of rumours that this might change in the future. But maybe that is just people wishing!

Does it have a heater to warm the cabin in cold weather??
No heater in the Twizy. Renault do sell a heated blanket you can plug into the 12v socket.
Niki Gordon Bloomfield (transport Evolved News) wants a Twizzy or a Nissan Scamp. I hope you reach out.
On a different continent though!
Great vid straight forward easy content 👌. Thanks 👍

Any idea where to buy the zip on windows in the UK?
Renault dealers sell them now. Or Google for other fixed type windows.
@@GoGreenAutos Do they? I just ordered my twizy last week and there was no option for windows. Will google something
Did you put the radio, or was it already there ?
Put in by the previous owner.
The radio was already fitted, including a built-in disc player - wow. However, as I'm tall, it restricts my legs to some extent. After initial doubts, my wife is now a fan of this car!
you really put the key in the ignition?
Hi, i was wondering, can you already buy your own battery instead of lease them
No, not in the UK
The 12 volt battery for £50. That's not what it runs on?
No. All EVs have a 12v battery as well as the traction battery (which is typically 400v lithium). The 12v battery powers lights, wipers, ECUs as everything is standard 12v like all other cars.
