For over 60 yrs my family have gone crabbing and fishing and duck hunting there. Found memories and a few scary ones also. But its a part of my life I loved and would do it more if I was able.
Wow, 60 years of beautiful memories. That would have been awesome on film. Watching New Jersey in her earlier days would have been unforgettable. I bet there were more crabs then, and bigger ones too🦀. One of our favorite things when crabbing is meeting old time crabbers who teach us and tells us stories. Like you, they have so much great and beautiful memories. Have a wonderful day🥰. Thanks for watching. 😊
Hey! Thanks for watching. Yes we surely did! We didn’t catch any crabs that day but we’ll be back. That road is sooo beautiful❤️. Where did the name Seven Bridges road come from?
Beautiful area. Taking my grandson down to the 4th bridge next weekend for crabbing. Hope you have a great Memorial Day Weekend and a safe week. Hope to see you soon
Yes, one of our favorite places. We didn’t catch any crabs but it was so beautiful. The view, the breeze, the landscape, and lots of friendly people! One thing we noticed, the place was clean. I went under those bridges and didn’t see a lot of trash! Have a nice holiday and hope you catch lots of crabs😊
Mabuhay to you Mark!!! Yes we’re both from the Philippines. We’ve been crabbing mud crabs back in Cavite, now blue crabs in Jersey🦀. Thanks for watching🇵🇭 Ingat palagi🥰.
@@thandastones888 My family is from Miagoa on Panay near Iloilo city... I am 2nd generation born in the US and speak almost no Tagalog. Shame on me I know... I never had anyone to teach me...😥My Great Grandfather was a Grandmaster in the Cane technique and muscle breaking (I can't remember what they are called). I myself studied various forms of Martial arts as a teen and adult. Philosophy was very important, and I never used my skills to hurt anyone unless in self-defense. I don't know why I am rambling so much so I will stop for now. I guess I am just happy to know people from my native land...
@@MarkDaGardna Well Mark, its so nice that you recognize and cherish your roots. I believe your grand father was practicing “Arnis de Mano”😊. The best way to learn Tagalog and Ilonggo is a nice long vacation to Panay island.😊I’ve been there twice and it’s a beautiful place. At the top of Panay island is the famous Boracay, white powdery beach, warm clear waters. Have a wonderful day Kaibigan🇵🇭
Take exit 58 on the Garden State Parkway and make a left on N Green street. That will lead you to route 9. Make a right on route 9. The next light make a left to Great Bay Boulevard. You are now on Seven Bridges road. They have renamed it Great Bay boulevard, but locals and old timers still call it Seven Bridges road. Drive slowly when you get to the marshy areas, there are lots of terrapins (turtles) crossing. Bring a chair, bring some drinks and enjoy the view🥰!
@@BeDoHave-so8nr Yeah, bug spray will work with gnats but not those greenheads. That’s why we ended up buying bugshirts. Yes, some oldtimer told us that the greenheads will be gone by Labor day. Have a nice weekend😊!
Made me smile 😊! I love it!! 😀
Thank you! Thanks for watching😊.

And don't forget the bug spray in the summer months, or you will be eaten alive by greenheads...
@@timconnelly6340 Yes😄, we’ve been bitten by those so many times. Thanks!
The bug spray is useless for the greenhead flies. I stay away mid-June until late August.
