- Welcome to the Outer Banks! I used to work in a tackle shop when I was younger. The number one question I would get asked is, "Where can I take my family fishing and crabbing while on vacation?". Years later, I'm sure this question has not changed. In this video I dive deep into 4 locations on the Outer Banks where you can fish, crab, get wet, sightsee, and have a great day outdoors. I also discuss bathroom facilities, parking, shade, etc. I hope this videos makes your vacation better. Thanks for watching!
Appreciate this variety of content. Never sell out/ annoying intros.(although I do get it) but sometimes simple is more. Keep it up thank you for your time
Thanks Austin
I go to OBX all the time and always look for fishing spots. Thanks for the tips.
You're welcome
Great overview of FREE fishing and crabbing spots--thanks!
Very informative info for fishing and crabbing in OBX. Thanks.
Great tips! My son and I have fished and crabbed on little bridge and under big bridge, but have never visited the other two. We will be checking them out.
@@jeremyhurley2660 Good luck, thank you!
Great weather on the way, ready for more content! Thanks for the video
Thanks man, yep it's go time for sure! Good to hear from you again.
Thank you for this video. You brought back a part of my childhood. My family and I used to go to the Outer Banks in the 70s and early 80s. The area, of course, has changed drastically. We used to fish the "catwalk" all the time along with that rocky area you showed by the catwalk. It was a huge, long sand flat that we used to catch flounder. The Coast Guard station used to be a little farther around there. I plan to make a trip out there this year while its still warm, and to Hatteras later this winter. Again, thank you.
You're welcome. I grew up on the obx in the 80's and 90's. Spent a good deal of my youth crawling all over the catwalk chasing sheepshead. It's changed a lot but still beautiful and still a lot of fish around. Thanks for the comment.
@haltysalty7537 I'm trying to plan a trip out there this fall. Would love to set up and camp out for a week. Funny thing is an old friend of mine sent me an ad for camping at Ocracoke.
OUTSTANDING, Sir!! Great tips! Will B using them shortly!!
@@maxcoldest7196 good luck to you!
Love the info in here. Some good fishing spots for sure. Keep making these
Thanks, will do
I lived in Kill Devil Hills and Nags Head years ago. We would catch blue crabs over on the sound side with chicken necks tied to a string. Free dinner when you're poor!
@@charliedillon1400 spent much of my childhood doing the same, and then with my daughters. Good cheap fun with a meal to boot! Thanks for checking out the video.
I enjoy your videos, informative and entertaining
Thanks for saying so!
Hello from the state of Ohio. Family and I will be down next year the second week in June. We are staying at the outer banks KOA campground. Thank you for the video.
You're welcome, hope you have a great trip!
This is the best video I've saw yet on this thanks
Thank you, you're welcome!

Headed up from South Texas coast in April and early May camping and fishing. Thanks for the info.
Good luck!
Well done video!, Thank you
You're Welcome
Thanks for this video
You're welcome, glad it was helpful
Thanks for this. Thinking about going out there in January with some friends
You bet, January's a tough month fishing wise but if the weather is fair they'll be fishing the little bridge. Surf fishing can be decent too. Check in at TWs tackle shop in kitty hawk, they'll let you know what's biting.
Nice informative video Thanks
You're welcome
Thanks so much!
You're welcome!
Will try
very informant. TY.
You're welcome
You forgot one spot. The gazebo and the kayak launch between well-bone junction and the little bridge
Where is the gazebo at?
I AM A NC NATIVE AND HAVE FISHED HATTERAS FOR MANY YEARS AND NEVER KNEW ABOUT THESE SPOTS; THANKS FOR SHARING; I LIKED AND SUBBED YOUR CHANNEL. THANKS AGAIN!
You're welcome. And thank you!
Like your videos good information 👍
Thanks Steve
Appreciate the video we’re going in two weeks and I’m planning on hitting all those locations.
You're welcome, hope you have a great trip!
Thanks !!!!!
You're welcome
I been going to this area for a long time but I didn't know about the last pier, I heard about a spot over their some where.I was riding around looking but I didn't go that far. We never use that bridge any more. I take care of a house in Avon, but when we come with our hold family the house in Avon is not big enough, so we
try to get a house in southern nags head.
I'm a man that looks for different places so thank you.
You are welcome sir!
I just came back from a fishing trip at Nags Head. Fiahing all round wasnt that great. Wish I would have seen this beforehand 😂 will definitely try these spots next time
Hope it helps! Thanks for watching
Thank you for the video. Even though I've been to the Outer Banks multiple times I learned some new things.
Glad to hear, thanks
We visit the Outer Banks 2 times a year but not to fish. That said I'm wanting to make just a fishing trip so this video helps.
I hope it does Ron, good luck
Great video! 👍. Does a visitor need a license to fish those spots?
Thanks Mike. Yes, that would be a nonresident saltwater fishing license. Can be purchased online. I believe they have a one day and also a 7 day option. Good question!
😮😮😮😮
I live right up the road from obx been looking for someone to fish crab with wife’s not into it
Hi HALTY. Isnt this area Oregon Inlet a known "crab spawn " area, and therefore cannot be crabbed?
Could be. That would only apply to the first spot in the video, which is a fishing location.
@@haltysalty7537 either way, great video! Loads of crabs by the bonnet bridge.
I’m just excited to join y’all down there permanently! Not obx, rather the Swansboro area.
Thanks for all your great videos!
@@secretjourney4815 Thank you
Great video, but it’s time to hit the Pungo or Pamlico
You got that right! Between the weather and my schedule, I can't catch a break. It's time for sure!
Do I need a license to fish in these area planning on going
Crabing No. Fishing yes. Stop into a local tackle shop to purchase, or order a liscense online at www.ncwildlife.org/Licensing/Hunting-Fishing-Trapping-Licenses/Coastal-Recreational-Fishing-License
Lmao I know where it is at
