10 Underrated Bollywood Movie Songs Captured Beautifully In Bollywood Movies

  • As I created a video talking about some iconic songs from bollywood movies that have been captured beautifully and moreover acted as tools to either showcase key character arcs or plot points in movies, I was flooded with suggestions in the comments about the songs that I have missed out! The recommendations, still presented moments that I have mentioned in other videos pertaining to breathtaking cinematography in films! Upon understanding that many of these memorable moments have already been covered, I thought of really digging into music from bollywood films that is honestly not given its due credit or isn’t celebrated by the masses, for how effective they were in showcasing character traits or key plot point in the film!

You should have mentioned the "Wat Wat" sequence of Tamasha when Ved sits in an auto and listens to the dream of the autowala Who wanted to become a singer. Ved then gets his own flashback, where his father disgraces him of failing his exams. Just as the Wat Wat song plays, it truly broke my heart there. It perfectly captured the frustration and suffocation of Ved. The song deserved a mention.

"Tu Koi Aur Hai" is AR Rahman's most extraordinary composition. Everything from orchestral arrangement to opera, from the lyrics to his own vocals, everything fits and showcases the meaning so beautifully that it's hard not to connect with it immediately. And the way the whole orchestra concludes with the melody line playing from the song Safarnama is just cherry on the top.

One more , "Zach keh Raha hai deewana " portrayed by d underrated but a lovely Maddi , giving us insight into his state of mind that goes from remembrance of true n innocent love to shock and anger at being not given another chance !!
A true classic , so meaningful .. still d instrumental part in the middle gives me d goosebumps , where Maddi dreams of being reunited with his love

People I spoke to didn't really get the dark humor of "So jaao", glad someone did.
The first time I heard Maa I was a bundle of tears. But you also missed the beautiful Mera Jahan it's so well placed with the children singing it's almost a dream sequence.
And of course Lakshya.... Kandhon se milte, title track, even the duet Agar main kahoon, every song is a whole mood.
Of course this is beside every Rehman composition that just bolsters anything he composes for.
    Do one on background scores.

Varun (Air) left his life with the leaf that carried Pakhi (the Bird's) spirit for life. It was a painted leaf, a crafted piece of work, standing in testament to their mutual love for painting. As he falls down, he has traded his life for Pakhi's but he smiles later on while lifting himself up for he knew what he had taken, needed to be replaced. Against the black and white backdrop of the snow-clad mountains, he walks towards his imminent doom, away from all obligations and guilt and he walks, smiling within the shell of a man who knows what redemption means.
