Join me while I take a detailed look at a "British Army, United Nations" 24 hour "Halal" combat ration. This Ration was requested on my first livestream and must be one of the largest, single person, military rations Issued. Watch, as I discover the packs contents and describe their tastes, smells and textures. What will I find? will it be the same as the standard "ORP"? what makes this different?....Could you eat all of this in 24 Hours?

Sorry i missed your Livestream and thanks for starting this one Mick (after we talked about it last time) !🙂 Very brave to try it in just three meals I bet there is 6 - 8k calories in that thing. I bought a half case of this menu a while ago they were a real bargain. Waiting with keen interest to see what you do with the curry and chili powder 🙂

lol....Luckily, No....all lived to tell the tale and and the kettles safe!....think I just discovered a new ration heating device, and it was live on air!....Lol...ATB....Mick

I'll definitely remember the kettle heater as its a lot less hassle than putting a pan of water on the stove, and not sure if I misjudged the time, but it seemed really quick.
To bad the live stream got cut off. Stuff happens. I'll be waiting for the rest.

Maybe they're hoping to recruit foreign troops based on the size of this ration 😂
What is the calorie content on that ration, does it say? (If you already said how much, sorry i must have missed it)
That is a comprehensive ration, although the amound of sugar in the extras is insane, every snack has sugar in it.
The way you chose those items for breakfast was smart.
Give yourself enough sugar to give a real boost to start the day, with enough fibre plus some protein so you don't crash.
Really interesting review, cant wait to see part 2 to see if they seasoned the mains effectively.

Hi Christine. Thanks for watching and commenting...lol.. yes, good French translation of the gum! They don't actually specify the calorie count on the outer bag?. It is on most items individually, but unfortunately, I've now thrown away all packaging. It must be nearly 7,000cal or more?. Just the flapjack for breakfast was 450cal on its own, and with the amount of sugar and other sweet items, I wouldn't be surprised if it surpassed 8,000cal?....Part 2 contains a little surprise found in one of the items?...,but you will have to wait until next week to find out what that was ..lol...ATB...Mick

When I was in the military in the 80s, we had matches taken out of their original cardboard packaging and stored in plastic film roll storage containers with tight lids. They stayed there very dry in the rain, in a swamp or when crossing a watercourse. The tasks could last a week at a time, so making a fire was a luxury, when it was reasonable and possible to do it, then it was nice to have dry matches with you. Storm matches hadn't been invented then, or if there were, we at least didn't have them.

We had 8 hexamine blocks in the folding stoves (and sometimes got issues extra fuel, but not extra storm matches?) so I used to dip the old "strike anywhere" matches in melted candle fat and kept a box of them in my kit....ATB...Mick

Hellooo Mick! I showed up late, as usual, LOL. I'll do better next time. Cool looking ration. Lots of food as always. No Hot Diggity Dog sauce? Dang. I hate that was substituted. That is the only hot sauce, I would trade in my Tabasco to, LOL. Times do change however. If the rest of the meal, is of the same quality Breakfast is , this ration should be excellent friend!
