Nick, excellent overview of the S&T swing with the birds eye view. Have been working on S&T now for a couple of months reading the book and absorbing endless You Tube vids like yours, Rob Cheney, and Tom Saguto. There is a lot of detail in S&T but like any golf shot the setup and ball position is key (and the easiest) and I find that if you turn and tilt properly keeping the head relatively still, the arc of the backswing and the cocking of the wrists happens naturally. Tilting back, arcing your back with the arms extended in the same plane at finish results in consistent ball contact. For me swing tempo is the key to center contact. Once I get more consistent perhaps I will look to increase my clubhead speed. The journey is as enjoyable as the end result. Appreciate your excellent S&T lessons. Cheers
Pure brilliance. You are a genius. For as long as I can remember, down the line and face on have been the way to see the golf swing in review. That said, I have learned more from this video and your previous one from behind, than I have in the 5 months of practicing/studying S&T. Thank you so much!
I have to agree. Watching DTL and Face On pro swings had me trying some really weird things. The overhead view has given me a better idea of the shape of the swing.
What an amazing video - great for showing the hand and club path relationship from the player’s perspective. Not seen anything like this before - brilliant stuff!
Top down view is so different (& extremely helpful) than a lot of instruction out there (not that I watch any other golf channel!) it really helps seeing the club stay on the grid especially in the follow through and maintaining your wrist angles and not flipping the hands. What has really helped me is the feeling on punching/curtailing the follow through and getting a nice soft draw. Cheers Nick
really good Nick, will be sharing this today, for push draw you can really see the club path slightly out to the right, great angle and nice new shorts!
The video every golfer needs to watch… excited to hit the range today…. Also the best view of inside the left heel being misrepresented in most instruction. It’s why amateurs get the ball too far forward in the stance!
Hi Nick, great videos to help amateur golfers to improve our game. May I suggest that you make a specific lesson on what happens to the wrist, arms and hips to get power at impact? Thanks for your lessons!
Nick, you are the man! Aerial view! Fantastic! What is next--ground up view? By the way, got my grid all made up & it is fantastic. Going to use it all winter.
The very best I ever hit balls is when the Pro let me hit a few with his clubs. The point being for some reason I was able to feel the shaft on and automatic angle. Great explanation. Thanks!
I think I missed this video. Wow I am now working on my lag and club position at impact. This is an awesome video. I was actually building my grid and ran into this over head video. Also what golf replacement grips you recommend for someone that is looking for a tacky feeling grip. Trying to loosing up my grip on club and I think the tacky grip will help me with that . Maybe!!😆Thanks Nick. Merry Christmas to you brother. Thank you for everything.
Aerial view is superb, you can really see the corkscrew twist back and through, excellent. Why though is ‘ the ‘grid’ set at angles and not a curve , surely this cannot accurately replicate hand and club path # no straight lines in golf
Nick you indicated several times what right wrist should be doing; thank you. Due to a serious trauma I ended up with about 70% of strength and range of motion in my right wrist. In you opinion what effect do you think this has on the golf swing and what I should be doing to overcome wrist handicap?
Hi Carl, the right wrist does play a huge key role in creating power and moving the low point forward so guess you will lose a bit power but should be able to still make good contact
@@NickTaylorGolf - Thanks Nick. For years I have known I could never be a long hitter with this defective right wrist. I use more club than most, well suited club heads and quality graphite shafts. Like you say good contact is key for sure; I can do OK as long as I don't get short, quick and hit behind the ball. It seems like I am always searching to find compensations for my right wrist.
Very helpful having this different view! Would you do one with the camera "in the net" looking from the target line back at you? That would be great. (Just don't hit the camera with the ball) Thank you.
Suggestion show slow motion of impact of the club face to show face is really open on contact but ball is released when face is square this would let everyone see that square or closed at impact is wrong

Every s&t swing has its own individual dna from the golfer and yours nick is simply awesome.
Thankyou Samuel 🙏
Excellent. Very helpful to see the POV from above.

Thanks Tom, thats great to hear. Thanks for watching

Thats great im glad this view point helped

Sweet sauce, Nick! Really nice video.
Thanks for watching mate #GRIDLIFE
Wow, we can see clearly how the body actually works. I can’t thank you enough for this bright idea to see the swing from the top
Thanks for watching Ahmad
Excellent video, the aerial view adds lots of info...
Wow, that was very instructive with arial view. Thanks
Thanks for watching Jim

Thats awesome Simon, thanks for watching
Another great, quality video Nick!
Thankyou Tony
Very helpful to see from above 🎉
Thanks im glad this helped

Haha these shorts are next size up 😉
Great video. Learnt a lot just watching from above.
Thanks for watching Dale
Very helpful angle. Thanks Coach
Great video, Nick! Easy to see view! Thanks!
I’ve been struggling with P8,9&10 but 5his vid has really helped, thank you.

Thanks for your comment and for watching
Great instruction thanks - can’t really see where the stack and tilt comes in - you got just an excellent swing
Thankyou Kevin, the stack and tilt swing isn’t much different from the average tour player
What cameras and software are you using? Looking to add a similar concept for my home simulator. Thank you for sharing such a great video.
Love the hands close down and the “dimple” of the inside elbow looking out to the camera
Thanks Martin
Nice visual. Really helpful mainly because this is what you see to a degree looking down at the ball. 👍🏻
Excellent! Perfect.

Great video, love the top down view. Thanks :)
Fantastic video! Do you have a drawing for this grid?
Great video, ty! Where is the club face aiming at address? Down the target line or to the right?
Slightly right of the target line, thanks for watching

Thank you! Stack and tilt explained in a way I can understand. Can you do something for different clubs?
Thanks for watching, i have done FW, Hybrid and driver explanations in other videos but not from aerial view unfortunately
This is a terrific lesson. Are you now based in Thurrock? If so, I'll come for a lesson.
Aerial view is superb, you can really see the corkscrew twist back and through, excellent.

Nick, how did you record the video from above? I love to record my swing from that view.
Great angle! By the way, do I need to change my ball setup if I tee up the ball for irons?
No keep it the same for standard shot

hi nick I live in Spain how is it possible to get a one to one lesson with you guys ?
Very helpful having this different view! Would you do one with the camera "in the net" looking from the target line back at you? That would be great. (Just don't hit the camera with the ball) Thank you.
Why does SnT mainly show the iron, when the 1st shot of the tee is normally a driver? Anyway thanks for video!
How do you create head speed
It appears that the clubface is square to the ball (target line) at setup position. Is that true. Thank you, this viewpoint was very helpful.
Thanks Frank, I would say it was a couple of degrees open
I didn't realize the left knee flexes very early in the backswing. I've always tried to keep my lower body still until club parallel.
Every lesson should have FO (front & Back( /DTL (rear/front)/Overhead cam 😄
Suggestion show slow motion of impact of the club face to show face is really open on contact but ball is released when face is square
this would let everyone see that square or closed at impact is wrong
I don't think my camera will show this detail but I will try
So simple. Why can't everyone do this?
Thanks, it’s not easy
Your hips are not working properly, and your coil is not as strong, due to this ...
modified s n t....
