Thank you for this....removing hard gel used to make me nervous because I didn’t want to damage the natural nail. 👍🏽

Omg! I had no idea about the moisture thing! I just thought TODAY after taking off my gel polish that I have RUINED my nails. So good to know!!

FINALLY someone explained which direction the bit should be turning! Thank you! I've been using it going counter-clockwise but never been completely sure that it was correct and could never find a video of someone explaining the turning direction in detail.

Just fyi to anyone who is looking, the only place to get a Nova Flair in Canada is Glam Up Nails located in Edmonton. CanWest doesn't carry Nova Flair and I know this for sure because I live five minutes from the store and took my training there!

This was right on time. I already use dip. Ordered polygel and acrylic. Avoided hard gel because I didn’t know how to remove without soaking off. Thanks!

Thanks so much for posting this! I got gel extensions for the first time ever and in two weeks I’ll be removing them completely, so I really wanted to know what to expect in a proper and safe removal at a salon specifically!

Celina, can you also once maybe talk about the things most people don't know about, like the torque of a nail file machine and why there is a pin in it and that there is a motor inside of the hand piece..
I hear everybody about the RPM's like the higher the better but.. that isn't the reason why you should buy one..
If something is a thing I can't help but get frustrated about, is all of this I mentioned..
And yes, the first time I went bare nailed again 😁 I got scared too.. my nails felt so weak.
And it took my nails about two weeks before they got strong again, I guess that can be different from person to person?
Great to hear someone mentioning this topic, nobody who talks about this.
Glad that you pick it up and do something with this, I hope, just like I know that you always have the handcreme too, it will integrate with the nail community and become normal information 👌😎
O, and I found a link of a great article about nail file machines; www.nailsmag.com/378334/5-things-you-should-know-about-e-files
I found it a great article myself.

I charge $35 to remove hard gel which I know may sound like a lot BUT I hate doing it, when I was in school I had to do it for free and vowed after that it would cost them lol. Btw in the last 6 months, a "generic" 40 watt, white, square, tabletop dust collector with a silver grill has been "trending" - its surprisingly good !! So for anyone saving up for a built-in one , the one I mentioned is a great stop-gap :)

I’ve just graduated from Christine Valmy in New York City and I’m now a licensed Nail Technician in the state of New York! I admire your work sooo much and would love if you could do a video about the top 10 to 15 products a new nail tech who specializes in gel nails should buy from Light Elegance to get started. I’m not sure if this is already a product, but if Light Elegance made starter kits including a lamp and e-file along with bits and some base color gels etc that’d be amazing!!

My first E file was one of those cheap ones you find in those god awful cheap kits you get from ebay / aliexpress it was lethal then found a decent one for a beginner on amazon that was USB cabled so needed a plug but the wire was horrible as the speed or rotation seemed to stick so upgraded to the melody suisie stacie drill only thing I hate about it is the size of the hand piece it's quite a chunky thing so prefer the thickness of the cheap amazon one feel have more control over it

Amazing video and so informative! I've looked in S2 (Sweetsquared) catalogue in the UK and can not find the Zippy anywhere. Just wondering if this is something that will be added later on? I'm currently studying in the LEU (thanks for the online tip!) and not got to removal yet, but wondering how this will pan out if we can't get all the bits here! It cost me a small fortune to get my LEU kit sent over from the USA because I couldn't buy from S2 until I have the qualification.. and now wondering how removal will work when S2 don't supply all the kit!

Hi i have a question when i remove gel or acrylic after a few day the nail start to create cracks and start chip or brake why is that?????

    •  4 ปีที่แล้ว

Kesha Natream When a nail is chipping it means that it’s too dry and you need to add more moisture like cuticle oil or just drinking more water. Doesn’t have to be related to the acrylic/gel. If they are breaking it could be the same reason (they are too dry) or that you are used to having a protection on your nails, so when it’s gone you’re not as careful with your natural nails as you should be.

You can actually see her nails turn red as your using the drill to remove the gel is that normal?

    •  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

Jordyn L No it’s not turning red. Maybe you are thinking about the color shifting going from the clear gel (which tweaks the natural nail color and make it look a little bit more muted) to her natural nail color. But I can definitely assure you that her own nail is not turning red.
