I've always maintained that Blackout is one of my favorite Decepticons from the film because despite him not speaking or showing any real personality in the film, he's a well-designed character, and the idea of a character named "Blackout" that causes blackouts and complete annihilation works so well.
Davide Palmisano Wei Jiang is a KO company that makes upscales knock off figures with extra tricks to the transformation and for the most part they do improve on a lot of the figures they have done
This is what I love about Wei Jiang, making the parts bigger allows for more accurate and precise paintwork, even if Chinese tampographs are a downside, because Toyhax and Reprolabels will fix that no problem.

Haven't bought a Transformer in 9 years and I am seriously considering getting this guy. Back in 2007 when I saw the movie at the cinema the opening scene blew my mind to oblivion and Blackout was the single most bad ass thing I had seen at this time. His scene made me fall in love with transformers again... Looks like he's going to do it once more.
9:04- somehow made me think of Seinfeld "Hellooooooo" haha. Great video, I have the original too and... yeah. I transformed it once to vehicle mode when I purchased it, and now it lives in that form on my shelf, never to be unleashed again. I like the panel that covers up the bottom on this version though. (Just finished the entire video) OHH it forms a little playset. Well that is pretty cool.
too bad transformer toys aren't this size because that thing reminds me of some of the military aviation toys I had when I was a kid I had a large f15 Eagle and a friend of mine had a big C-130 Hercules that looks like somebody good actually play with. most of the transformer toys made these days look so fiddly and fragile that you can't actually play with them
I personally don’t mind the parts coming off for a better visual look. So “parts forming” doesn’t bother me like others. I love how he looks without the tail for display it’s awesome.
OMG, that partsforming diorama is actually AMAZING! Man that's original af. I really can't stand many of the bay bots, but have always dug some Blackout. This version is epic though! That diorama, damn how cool is that? I'd love to see more of that. What was the toyline back in the day that was army weapons, that turned into little dioramas like this? You remember it? Like there was a pistol that turned into a watch tower type thing. There was a grenade, a compass, and I think the big mackdaddy was an M-16, which of course I didn't ever see IRL. But the concept very very much resembled what they've done with this guys new parts. Some designer dude in China remembered those 80's micromarine toys and was like "hmm... what to do with all this dogfood... OH! I know how to make kibble appealing, and I bet the pathalogical partformer patrol would even like it! hold my.... umm.... Chinese version of beer" No they were not called Micro Marines, but holy crap they shoulda been!
This is just one Reprolabels sticker away from being the Movie Masterpiece Blackout we always needed. Especially with the underside filler panel for helicopter mode that doubles as a diorama for Scorponok...

I just got this as well! Love it and it's so big! The best size for Blackout ever in toy form! I really like that Wei Jiang made some improvements on the existing mold from Hasbro. Not only did they upsize it, they improved the hands and feet! Some minor differences in transformation as well for the hands/arms and feet because of this. I can't get over the spelling mistakes on it though... LOL
Had mine yesterday and its an impressive piece. Sadly, for the price i paid i think i got a reject, right hip ratchet is not working and his left rear shin flap is missing.. I have the ss pair and the genuine MPM too so he's gonna stay in bot mode.
I loved the opening scenes with Blackout from the first Bayformers movie, and my boyfriend at the time laughed at my freaking out in the theatre. The bf is gone, but my love for this character never died! Bought the official release and now I have ordered this beast! Thank you Emgo for turning me on to Sirtoys and feeding my unhealthy helicopter fetish. Only $100 bucks!? Love it! 😁💕
He's MPM size Blackout and SS size Grindor if you want to know for your display :D That's just for robot mode ! For alt mode the helicopter are in SS size xD And the Scorponol of Hide Shadow are scale with SS Blackout and other SS figures xD
This upscale should've had the blades on a pop top type of mechanism. where you can push the blade assembly down so it locks in place. Just like those pop top drinks.

I gotta say, following your JTI I didn't have any problems transforming Blackout to altmode. We'll see later for bot mode, but I don't anticipate anything crazy.
I just got this figure last week and he came in robot mode and his rotor blades came in a seperate plastic bag, so they are detachable. I left them off the robot mode to save space. I haven't transformed him to heli yet. He looks awesome on top of my wardrobe holding Scorponok by the tail...:D

The movie designs were hit-or-miss for me, but Blackout is definitely in my top 3 favourites.

yeah the modern day deluxe is basically the old scout class size, voyager is the old deluxe size, and leader is the old voyager size

It's a pretty much a perfect Masterpiece scale Blackout. It scales with the rest of the MPM line very well.

I’m at 9:48 and so far the best thing I like about this better than studio series is there is no robot kibble Underneath on the vehicle mode.
