Really useful exercise and I have always wondered what to do with my eyes as in where to look in general. Do different movements/positions require different focus points ie the angled-down focus for balancing exercise vs the spotting ahead for the P word even though both movements require balance? I suspect a Herbert in the house for mental focus may actually be the key!
Hi Ani, Thanks for your comment. For most things, you look in eye-line, especially for pirouettes. However, to project more (when you are on stage) your gaze is a bit more elevated. Studies suggest that cats indeed help mental and physical well-being, so yes, he's key for balancing. See you in class (w/o Herbert)!
LOVE THE KITTY!!
you're fabulous
🤗thank you.
So beautiful! Pas de Chat Purr!
thank you!
I love your lines. Your technique is absolutely beautiful!
Thank you, it's very kind of you to say so.
This is wonderful! I love the explanations. Plus, Herbert is adorable. I’m sure he has no balance issues. 😂
Thanks, Jude, I am very happy to hear. And you are right, Herbert has a great balance except the occasional slipping off a surface.
