This is why there going out of Business, make what people want .
It's Mach-E Orwellian what with the end justifying all the spy equipment in those vehicles
Wow a warmed over Prius. Toyota is desperate to try and stay in business because it missed the EV revolution.
Japs pay attention to consumers wants & needs more than the big 3 losers
@@wendwllhickey6426 I don't think they are going out of business, they wait and discover better ways. They will have a solid state battery that can go over 700 miles and re-charge in 10 minutes. That's jaw dropping game changer. Wake up!
Amazing, instead of Ford building more reliable cars they decided to take the easy way out by not building cars period.
I still have my 2004 ford 150. With 4 hundred thousand miles on it.. brought it brand new.. still running strong !!!
@harveyhankerson8359 I miss the days when you could buy a car and it wouldn't fall apart right after you exit the dealership 🥲
@@harveyhankerson8359 you haven't replaced the transmission or anything big?
They see that people aren't buying cars for the most part at all. The people who buy cars are looking for fuel mileage and a cheaper asking price. The Ford Maverick is honestly a better choice than almost any car except maybe the Toyota Corolla/Camry (except you lose the truck bed in favor of mpg.)
Shouldn’t be hard to build one now. Toyota has been doing it for years. Just copy an old Corolla - start selling it 5,000 over total profit and give dealers incentives for selling it just to get them on the road and get the word out.., it’s simple and they had years to prove themselves
I have a 2006 Ford Crown Vic. Best car I've ever owned. I also have a 1972 Ford Pinto Squire wagon, it's 52 years old, and still going strong.
Oh yeah. I still have my 2008 FORD F150. With 4 hundred thousand miles on it.. still running strong. !!!!
Those Crown Vic’s are indestructible
A lot of people like the crown vic's - amazing Ford actually made some good cars
@@harveyhankerson8359Suprising. My uncle’s F-150 of the same generation didnt even make it 80,000 miles.
2008 Grand Marquis here, bought it in 2022 and will likely be the newest car I ever buy
With the Camaro, Challenger and Charger being discontinued this year Ford may sell a ton of Mustangs between now and 2028. If I was them I would discontinue the electric Mustangs, not the one consumers actually want.
I bought a new Challenger RT I owned a 2009 that had 185,000 trouble free miles..Solid reliable cars and being 6'4 I fit perfect in them, very comfortable, powerful and 27 mpg hwy with a Hemi V8..I am sad no more V8 cars
Why are canaries and chargers being discontinued?
Maybe, but they've had over 5.3 million recalls in 2023. Ford has huge problems.
I wrote Cameros
@@davidshumski4629 I am assuming it has something to do with the government pushing automakers towards electric cars. Just Google it, the last Camaro will be produced this month and this is also the last year of the Charger/Challenger.
The larger plan is to make vehicle ownership inaccessible to the average person, where everything is service-based and integrated to the technocratic control grid, despite the amount of waste and problems these batteries will create.
The end of private car ownership is near. Expansion of uber and car subscription services. Imagine walking to your footpath and choosing the car to take. When you get to your destination, you leave the car to the next customer. Will cut down on ev production
And if you wrong think the thought police will lock you out of your vehicle
No it's not it is always like that with new tech Tesla is getting cheaper the others have to catch up eventually when no one is buying their cars they will be force to make them cheap it is already happening with dealerships. @@petergaskin492
@@petergaskin492you live in a shithole American city, you walk out to a stripped frame where it's supposed to be
Batteries can be refurbished/repurposed. But I do agree with you on the whole lease/subscription concept. Treat cars like you treat phones, set up a payment plan, some features can be turned off or on, and once your payment cycle is over, you can turn it in on a newer model. Not a fun world, but this is what the consumer chose. Just like with the decline of cars. The manufacturers could get exemptions from government regulations, as well as make a larger profit by tricking the consumer into wanting a truck or SUV. The average owner never uses the utility that comes with these vehicles. They never tow or haul anything a regular car couldn’t carry, and they never go off road. All they do is commute to and from work in the city from their house in suburbia, take the kids to school, and pick up groceries. They NEED a car, but bought a truck because they were tricked into believing they needed one.
Well Scotty, we agree on one thing ( Mustang ) at least, the Mach E doesn't even look like a Mustang, so it was a BIG mistake to call it a Mustang. THAT, was a stupid idea on Ford's part.
Stupid… …or brilliant? …brilliantly stupid? Note how there’s not a single Ford emblem on the Mach E. It’s not a Ford Mach E, it’s a Mustang Mach E. That’s what angered fans. So what if, in 2028, Ford spins off the Mustang brand as its own separate manufacturer, like Dodge did with Ram. So there’s no more Ford Mustangs, but Mustang the company, just happens to also sell a sports coupe. Ford just makes trucks and SUVs, while Mustang makes sports cars and crossovers.
they want to sell the agenda
@@UmmYeahOkThat would be the only acceptable future. Especially as long as they bring back the Bullitt.
How’s about that new Maverick? I guess that’s what a trans-coupe looks like in 2023 😂
Should have named it the donkey
I worked 33 yrs (engrg & mfg) for a global battery company. EVs are the biggest “environmental scam” ever perpetrated on auto buyers. If the greenies buying these cars ever saw an open pit lithium mine or what end-of-life disposal of an EV lithium-ion battery pack looks like, they’d drop a steamer in their shorts.
EVs definitely have their benefits, such as reducing smog in cities. If an EV can get to 1 million miles that's also a huge benefit. The technology is still in its infancy, acting like they're bad because of downsides today is as goofy as saying the internet is a worthless idea because it sucked in 1970. Lithium batteries aren't really old enough to have a real supply chain and recycling program. Acting like the kinks won't be ironed out as the industry grows is also short sighted.
@user-xn2wg2oe7s 100%. If the entire automotive industry shifted from petroleum to EV, you'd have just as much if not more environmental damage solely due to the fact that the process for manufacturing these batteries is worse than oil rigs. Also you still have to have diesel equipment to mine the lithium and cobalt, along with diesel trucks to haul the batteries to manufacturing plants
@@user-xn2wg2oe7s Yes, I do. Research “lifecycle analysis of an electric vehicle vs gasoline-powered vehicle”.
@@user-xn2wg2oe7sStreet cars are even more efficient!
Stick with ICE. Absolute dinosaur!
Funny how Ford isn't learning from their F150 Lightning debacle...
Regular people don't want electric vehicles.
Especially when a vehicle is designed to tow and haul, and it does everything but that 💀
Doesn't matter if they want one or not, the government is going to make sure electric is the only choice they have besides walking or riding a bike.
Regular guy here and own an EV. They are fast as hell and fun to drive. Don’t get too convinced everyone driving an EV is some liberal tree hugger.
I don’t know who you think regular people are but demand for electric vehicles around the world is increasing dramatically every year. It’s only in the United States where gasoline is cheap that they keep the oil burning, internal combustion engine vehicles. in countries were gasoline is eight to $10 per gallon. They are going electric.
@@royphillips7644 according to caranddriver only 1% of vehicles on the road are electric...
That 1 percent are rich pricks buying a new disposable toy car and poor liberals taking out loans to virtue signal to their climate obsessed friends.
I wouldn't call them regular people.
I’m disappointed with GM, Ford, and Chrysler betraying the muscle car enthusiasts with replacement EVs.
It's the government's Epa Cafe requirements. Light weight cars have to meet much higher mpg and emissions than trucks/suv's.
That's the problem.
It's been reported that the next-generation Charger will be offered in both EV & ICE variants.

Its fascism that betrayed us
Chrysler cars are Mexican Fiats

Just remember that the FIRST cars were electric....back in 1900.....and they weren't in production long......FOR A REASON.
Exactly, battery powered vehicles never worked well back then, why do some people think that they are going to work now is beyond me.
Tell us more professor, I am sure you have studied this thoroughly. Electric is way superior and Scotty has no idea what he is talking about. he is an excellent ICE mechanic but he should stick to that.

@steveclark.. because it's 2024 and battery technology is much better now than before and will continue to get much better.
@charlesfalco69 his profession is being cut out of the market, of course Scotty is anti electric.
Scotty, I'm a Dodge (MOPAR) guy thru in thru, grew up that way. My dad worked at the Chrysler plant in Indianapolis for 30 years, and I felt obligated
to support the company that took care of my me, my mother, and two brothers. I have to admit that it's hard to match the performance and sound of the Mustang. I purchased and took delivery of a Hellcat Charger in 2015, and that's a different car all together, and the car just sounded angry, loved the car for 6 years and let it go, found out the closer I got to 70 I didn't want to drive like a teenager anymore. I like your candor, keep it ip.
Sad!
It wasn't that you didn't want to, it's that you can't.
I remember the "last" convertible and the "last" Thunderbird. If the demand is there and it's legal, it will be made again.
I have a 2000 Mustang GT, only replaced the clutch. Runs great. The only issue is the paint is peeling off. Kinda my fault, parked outside its entire life.
Owned a 98GT since new, been super reliable and fun to drive. Only one general repair since new, may try for collector plates since in mint condition.

Ford did the same thing with the Mustang in 1974...the Mustang II or the Pinto II
Forced to, by oil producing countries and U.S. Government pollution regulations, and foreign competition, namely the Japanese.
There was never a pinto 2
@@YS-fr6nu The mustang II ws built around the pinto chassis. Then they tried to retire the fox body mustang by replacing it with the probe, but there was such an uproar over a front-wheel-drive mustang that they skipped that idea and release the probe as a separate model.

I really liked Ford Fusion which was very well made and it drove very nicely. Ford Fusion could have easily competed with Accord and Camry. It's too bad Ford gave up on it....
It didn't make as much money as a truck.
I love my 6 Speed 2018 Mustang GT and plan to keep it until it drops or I do. I only have 22k miles on it and am really good at staying on top of scheduled maintenance so hopefully I have a long way to go.
That's exactly right. Electric vehicles a solution for a problem that doesn't exist.
Sit in your petrol car in the garage with the doors down and the car running and tell me there’s no problem. After about 15 minutes you will be dead. To me that’s a problem. I have to use that example because people don’t think gasoline powered cars pollute, so take the Garage test and maybe you will understand. Try a diesel it’ll even work better.
When oil was first being refined, they threw away the gasoline because they didn't know what to do with it. Did electricity ever get thrown away en masse like that? No. We always knew of a use for it.
We're not arguing from a pollution or cleanliness standpoint. Only usefulness for a purpose.
@@royphillips7644 why would anyone sit in their car in the garage, engine running, door closed. Electric vehicles are not the big green savior that their made out to be. We don't agree. I don't believe climate change is something to worry about because all it is is weather. Winter, spring, summer and fall. Yes some years are hotter, but there are cooler years too. Weather changes . Back in the 1970's Time magazine had on the front page the coming ice age. All politicians are doing is repeating over and over again global warming, then climate change, then climate crisis, then climate emergency then 12 years left. All this is the fear, or fearmongering. I would love to be able to buy a smaller, reliable car that is simple with minimal bells and whistles. All the safety equipment is just driving up the price of all cars to start with and if you have an accident and a couple of the 12-16 air bags go off the vehicle is scrapped. No manufacturer except the Koreans will build a small simple car and they all seem to build cars that won't last more than 4-5 years (basically die once the warranty expires). There is no way I would touch a used EV even at some of the huge price discounts that we are seeing now that the first wave of used EV's are hitting the market. Would NEVER charge an EV in my garage (fire) and insurance has got to be insane given the repair costs and time quoted on sites like Wham Bam Tesla Cam. My 2014 Edge is paid for and hasn't started to cost me anything close to what a loan payment would run so I will drive it until it dies. No new cars for me.

Here in Canada, the fed is mandating that by 2026, 20% of all passenger car sales must be ev's. This will of course be highly subsidized with rebates from the government. So us middle class folk will be paying for the wealthy to get these POS's at a discount. Unbelievable

I was a dealer for nearly 30 years. The big storage lots are one of three things. 1. Train depot where vehicles are delivered by train so they can be sent to dealers. 2. Manufacturers overflow waiting for parts. Good example was when GM was waiting for computer chips. They stored the vehicles until they got chips. 3. The last category is dealer overflow when their lots are full. Dealers do not keep their lots empty so they can raise the price. They don’t build $20 million buildings by selling one car and making $10,000… They sell 100 vehicles at $2000 and make $200,000. Volume is how they make $$$$
It seems that there are some misguided car manufacturer executives that think that the only two things that people want to buy are either trucks or SUVs. I beg to differ. I'm a member of the Mustang Club of America, which publishes a very slick monthly magazine called "Mustang Times." I swear I can count on the fingers of one hand the number of times I've seen that boxey, 4-door EV SUV mentioned and have a couple left over. Even the Mustang II gets more ink. Hell, even the boxey, late 70s Mustangs get more ink. To Mustang lovers like me (on number 7 now), the damn thing belongs in the parking lot of a kids' soccer field, not tearing down the open road next to mine. I wouldn't be caught dead in one!
Apparently ford have stated that the mustang won't die in 2028 despite the reports

Tragic! Looks like i need to get my hustle on to get my dream Mustang or Challenger
I saw one of them Cyber Truck in the wild here in FL at night and it was very weird seeing their headlight and taillight plus they were about size of a Ford Ranger to me
I hope that Ford will just discontinue the Mustang instead of making it electric. They already made a mistake by giving the Mustang name to an electric SUV. I’m not saying that the Mach E is not a good car, but it’s definitely not a Mustang in any way. I just hope that they won’t make the real Mustang electric as well. That would be a terrible blunder and it would hurt the legacy of the Mustang. 🤔

This made me laugh. 😂🎉happy new year!
I hate this trend of electric cars
A business centre I occasionally park in has a lovely pair of Ford Mustangs that park there, one is a 5.0 and the other 5.5 🏴
At Mr. Scotty.... Maaan You Took Me Out With The Swangas on The ExpensiveVersion😂😂😂😂(swinger Wheels Texas Swag) I Enjoy Your Videos BEEN Subbed and watching From Here In Mississippi For Yearrrs! Happy New Year💪💪
In the 21st-century, the Ford Mustang went from $20,000-$60,000
Minimum wage went from $5.15 to $7.25 per hour. Either Ford is overcharging, or minimum wage needs to go to $15.45 an hour
More like at least $25 an hour the rate everything has risen in price these days
Your logic is flawed. The 10 % income earners makes more than the entire 90% by a factor of 4. The 90% income earners buys half of what they used to.
They are not making cars for the workingman by ages.
Ford is overcharging. That’s what it is lol
Brand new mustang is 30k
I thought you were done here Scotty...Glad to see you still around, reguardless
Coming up from Philly to NYC it’s best to drive up to Trenton and take the train to Penn Station …
Scotty, that’s so true. I live in California and have made many roadtrips to Utah. I can’t recall seeing any EV or Teslas on the road. Even on shorter trips to neighboring Las Vegas, NV, I can count only a handful of Teslas. There’s a town called Baker, CA where the next gas station is few and far between before Vegas. People will usually gas up before continuing. Next to the gas station there is what looks like a huge car lot full of Teslas tethered to chargers. I certainly don’t have the patience to be sitting in the car waiting for 30 min. while I could already be half way to my destination.
Just made the same trip and witnessed hundreds of Teslas LMFAO Here's the Clue lol it's the Cars without A Grille and Radiator in the Front
@@paulhailey2537 And no tailpipe.
Who want a electric car they catch on fire even the E Bike catch on fire
You’re wrong. ICE vehicles catch fire, much more often than fully electric BEV‘s. Hybrid catch fire more than fully electric BEV‘s. Look it up I’m stating facts. You are stating your opinion.
SO GLAD I NEVER GOT AN E BIKE omg
I just got 4 new tires, alignment, balance and caster adjustment for a brand new Ford at 3k miles. Under warranty… not sure how they’re making money from new cars.
Scotty, love the videos, but, please, fix the focus on the camera so that *you* are in focus instead of the items on the shelves behind you!
Drove by the Chrysler (oops, Stellantis) Belvedere IL plant this am and wish I had a drone to see how many new Jeeps are being stored in the back lots since the front lots are all ready full and no workers there since the end of the strike.
Maybe by 28 this EV stupidity will be over!
I seriously doubt that. Will have to buy a new ICE car/truck soon and hold onto it.
Still have and drive my 65 mustang
Rocking the house Mr Kilmer!!!
Happy new year Scotty 🎉
In a big city you will have to be careful where you park a Cyber truck because due to it’s resemblance to a dumpster you might find it filled with garbage when you come back to it.
The aerodynamics of cybertruck is actually very good.
When we drive between Houston and Dallas we see several model 3s speeding past. There are a bunch here in Kingwood, but like you say rich people toys.
Hearing Scotty’s voice makes my day😊
Ford still needs to be alive in 2028 to drop the V8 Mustang!
Sir, What do you think about all-new Mitsubishi Outlander ?
Gives new meaning to the Ford acronym: Found On Road Dead.
The last design was the last pure Mustang. Ford is going down the rabbit hole. Keep your older Mustang!
What's wrong with the newest Mustang? (NOT the Mustang -E). The "Dark Horse" Mustang is really nice in every way.
we talking S550 body style or older?
how is this going to effect NASCAR? Ford won't have any cars to race?
Every single Car is exactly the same Car in NASCAR no matter what the Brand is
I'd love to see Scotty do a video on a Ford Model T
So getting your Ford EV 150 going, is about as easy as starting a B-17? (Look for the training film).
Reminds me of the 70's when they tried to kill the muscle car and the mustang was just a glorified pinto. Mustang II anyone?! Hopefully history will repeat itself and after all this madness with EV's dies down the muscle car will return better than ever.
