    Modern NFL stadiums are out of this world amazing. The technology, seating capacity, security and presentation of the gridiron truly are engineering marvels. And right now, we’re going to look at every single one of them, give you a few tidbits you might not have known, uncover some secrets, and as always, throw a little shade down on to the field. Critiquing every NFL Stadium is coming up, right after this.

      Not a native, but lived there (and saw many events, not just Panthers games) in BOA. Went to school at JWU when our dorm parking lot bordered the Panthers practice field, and I knew two of the players from their Virginia Tech days. Might have gotten to hop the fence a few times. There's not a bad seat in BOA.

    Interesting video of all the NFL stadiums. As a devoted, life-long KC Chiefs fan whose devotion to the team
    extends back to the mid-60's, my beloved Municipal Stadium (the Chiefs original home and also
    the birthplace of the Wolfpack, the Red Coaters and tremendously entertaining American Football League football), was my 1st field of dreams. When Arrowhead opened in the 1972 season, I got the life-lesson that
    time marches on for everyone. So like most Chiefs fans, I adopted it as my favorite stadium. Originally,
    Arrowhead held 78,034 seats and was truly a state-of-the-art venue, but as the decades wore on, the Chiefs opted to reduce seating capacity and add modern, updated features. I feel fortunate to be able to say that in that first season (1972), I was part of the largest sports crowd in KC history, 82,094 when the Chiefs hosted
    the Oakland Raiders in November of that season. The sports-complex project in Kansas City that included
    Royals Stadium (now known as Kauffman Stadium) ran 8-million dollars short of funding for a giant, arched,
    move-able roof that could cover either stadium in the event of inclement weather. Both stadiums combined,
    with over-abundant parking areas (a tailgaters dream) cost Kansas City taxpayers in the neighborhood of 75 million dollars. In 2018 that wouldn't be enough to sign a top quarterback. My, how times have changed!
    Long live the AFL!

    Fun fact about Broncos Field at Mile High; a bar owner in Denver led the campaign to keep "Mile High" part of the stadium name. Keeping Mile High part of the stadium name was so popular, they elected the bar owner mayor of Denver and then governor of Colorado, only the second person ever to do that. He is even expected to run for president in 2020. Yes, I'm talking about John Hickenlooper.

    Grew up in Landover, MD. You nailed it on the head. Even for locals, the two nearest train stations are at least 25 minutes away, those four roads cut through apartment complexes, a giant church (that big blue building on the top corner; which makes Sunday home games HELL), not a lot of street lights in the parking lots and the parking is so bad, I’ve seen people park their cars in the middle school at the end of the road from the stadium and walk... all for a SHITTY TEAM at that.

    Cool video but FedEx field is actually VERY close to the DC line. Its like a 4 mile drive and like less than 3 miles straight line distance. From the top of the west upper decks you can see the Capital building and the Washington Monument. Funny thing is, it is even less than an hour from the Ravens stadium in downtown Baltimore.

    • @PongoXBongo
      @PongoXBongo 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Is it actually sunken down into the ground as it appears in the video? If so, that seems like a much more sensible option for a bowl-shaped structure.

      The field is about 20 feet below the outside ground level. Thats a guess from the view I had from the time that I had field passes last year. The stadium sits on a big hill and the parking lot is very hilly. From outside it looks like its 15 stories tall.
