There’s nothing like an indoor arena for a hockey game, and though the dimensions of the rink are standard, the venues themselves have their distinct and unique differences.
And Today we’re going to break down each one of those stadiums, and hopefully keep the amount of frightening mascots to a minimum.
Critiquing all 31 NHL arenas, secrets and hidden gems.

Another fun fact about The UC (Chicago Blackhawks) is that they were the first to implement the “goal horn.” And the goal horn currently in use has been there since its inception during the 1973 playoffs. Then owner Bill Wirtz liked the sound of his yacht horn so much, he got one for under the Chicago Stadium scoreboard.

The Ralph Engelstad Arena in Grand Forks, ND has been called the Taj Mahal of the Hockey and puts pretty much all of these venues to shame!

14:07 it was actually a WHL game for the Calgary Hitmen. It’s a yearly tradition called the teddy bear toss and they give the stuffed animals to kids in need.

You also forgot a fact about MSG: It's the only active NHL arena that hadn't been corporately renamed.
The shade thrown wasn't necessarily shade on Tampa but shade on the Rangers. Those that left NY thrived in Tampa. I'm sure Ryan Callahan is quite satisfied to be in the Sunshine State rather than NYC.
So far I've only gone to one Sharks game and it was possibly the greatest sporting event I ever gone to as I got to see the Sharks dominate The Ducks 8 to 1 in the playoffs, but if I can make such a long trip all the way up to Michigan even though I have no interest in going to Michigan, I would love to see that new hockey rink there. It seems quite fascinating!
Ah yes, the iconic lobster train station by Honda Center. I drive past whatever the hell that is as well as the Honda Center almost every weekend, and I still don’t know why it was built like that.

Don't forgot that Nationwide Arena was built on the former cite of the Ohio Penitentiary. (At least on the parking lot of the penitentiary but the apartments around the arena are on the actual cite. Still preatty cool and creepy)

Just a note: there is no AHL team in Calgary, it’s the WHL and they’re called the Calgary Hitmen. They consistently break the record for Teddy Bear tosses. Make sure you do your research before next time eh?

Sicksi he suits your city. Also, and so say this unironically, he’s going to be loved after some time. It’s like how in the late 90s Syracuse toyed with changing their mascot to a wolf, but the student body loved Otto the Orange too much.
Aiden Mckenney hey you know what? he is pretty fucking dope. I went to the game against Boston during his first game and he didn’t really do much, but against the rangers he was firing up the crowd you could say. and hey... that’s how Philly is... we embrace our hatred. Think about it. Everyone hates the Eagles with a passion, we won the super bowl (still can’t believe that like holy shit) and everyone hates the Flyers. Not the Phillies and sixers so much, but definitely the Flyers and Eagles. And I agree that we’ll be good, as long as our defense can be consistent in the regular season and playoffs, and we can actually have any sort of competence in net. I know every fan says this about their team every year, but this team is special. I know it.
Sicksi Devils/Giants fan here and I can't bring myself to hate the Flyers or Eagles. Devils/Flyers games were always so much fun, especially in the mid- to late-90s when they would beat the shit out of each other all game. Plus, we get along for our mutual hatred of the Rangers. Eagles for a different reason--I was a fan of McNabb's starting with his stint in Syracuse. Plus, we get along for our mutual hatred of Dallas.
Erik Dresner I’m too young to ever have watched when the Flyers and Devils were a great rivalry, but that was a great rivalry I must say. And I can’t say that I hate the Giants either... there’s nothing to hate. And plus, I guess we’re the only teams that can say we’ve beaten the Pats in the SB. I have to admit, even as an Eagles fan, I actually kind of like the Giants. They’ve got a really talented offense (offense line could use some work, but the addition of Soldier helps) and their defense has actually played kind of well... I didn’t watch the entirety of any games (expect the one against the Cowboys), but what I’ve seen on the scoreboard, the Giants have looked good. Their 1-2 record is misleading, especially since they had a good chance to beat the Jags. I love football, but it can never beat hockey for me, even though my football team can actually contend for things unlike my Flyers.
In Ottawa, we also have jerseys of every minor league team in the city (kinda like Minnesota).

Missed a real opportunity for PNC Arena... The farmer who sold the land to the hurricanes so they could build their stadium had some say in the team. He originally demanded that the team be named the Carolina Ice Hogs, but ownership turned that down. Instead, they agreed to make the mascot, Stormy, an Ice Hog to commemorate the former land owner.

Curtis Davis Most of NC was just hit with minor to major flooding. Most of Eastern NC got fucked pretty hard especially the southern part of the coast between Wilmington and New Bern. It really is unfortunate but the Canes have been helping with disaster relief obviously

Definitely. I went to a Giants game when I was visiting Vancouver a couple of years ago, and glass seats were supercheap. It was something like $25. I'd definitely do it again if only to have a chuckle at the Tyson Sexsmith banner that is hanging up in the concourse.

did you even know toronto is one giant underground mall? (actually a lot of Torontonians dont even know about the PATH system so of course youd have no idea lol) you dont even have to step foot outside in the winter to get across the city, just walk into a nearby building, take an escalator down a floor and youre now in one of the biggest malls in the world (with street signs so you know where you are in the city)...whats alberta got thats better than that? cause all i see is if you dont have a vehicle then you freeze your ass off walking through the snow everywhere...sounds greaaaaaat 👍
