I prayed this many times. I served in the Navy in the 60’s.. My son had 7 tours in the Middle East. Just bring him home. He is home. Thank you Lord.
Hi Mike, my dad, served Airforce WW2 turret gunner B-17, flew out of London England. Prison of war 13 months, even survived the death marches. He came home to his dad, my father in law served army WW2 Korean war and Vietnam 32 years LT COL. retired he came home. Pepper have no idea of what our soldiers go through. God bless you all. 7 tours absolutely amazing. My draft # was 4 1973. I would have enlisted, it's our duty. 🙋♂️🙏🇺🇲🇨🇱
@@russelldias5131 thanks for the reply. You are correct, duty and tradition. My grandfather served WWI, my dad also served in a B-17 group out of England in WWII, my uncle was army in Korea, I was in Navy, Vietnam era, my nephew was Army in Afghanistan, another nephew still serves as a Colonel in Army and my son retired from Air Force. My draft number was 74 before I enlisted. I am proud of all who serve. Thank you to your family.
Thank God!
Austin sings the phone book. I'm in.
😂😂 that made me laugh.. quality
I'm with ya on that!!
Austin Brown is a goosebumps factory.
Austin is so extremely talented. This makes my heart hurt in that way it does when something is so amazingly beautiful. whew.
Austin you are in my top 2 best singer i will be locking for more 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Like we all didn't expect that from Austin he has a beautiful tone and could virtually sing anything he wants to
Best reaction to this wonderful performance, If it doesn't stir your emotions, you are dead inside.
‘I’m gonna try not to cry’. - hah every time I hear Austin sing this I cry - can’t help it it’s so beautiful ❤
Austin is a great singer! Wow, he feels the music! And his execution of this song is excellent.
Austin has a musical theater background. He was part of the cast on a cruise ship when Home Free boarded as guest performers and they quickly made friends, Austin expressing his love for their music and his want to join them. When a HF member decided to retire to raise a family not long after that they contacted Austin to get them back to five members. A joke they relate is that he had to bring back the Georgia accent he's had to bury for his stage work. He sounds beautiful either way.
👍, He has a degree in musical theater.
He also worked for Disney as one of the Liberty Singers
I saw an interview yesterday and Austin mentioned it was a. Royal Caribbean ship he was on.
The fact that Austin has a musical theatre background does not mean that he has to sing in that style. The musical theatre style of singing sounds artificial and unusual to people who are not familiar with it. When singing in a studio type setting, with close microphones, and post production, singing in a more pop style is, IMO, likely to be more relatable to his intended audience. Indeed, I would say this performance has substantially more emotional impact for me when compared to more traditionally styled performances. It is very much "as you have never heard it before", and is the better for it!
@@Back2SquareOne I was referring to it only in the aspect that you don't hear the "south" in his voice when he's singing that song. Tim was kind of teasing him about that when he was singing on the cruises.
That was a very beautiful rendition. Austin has a great voice for musical theatre songs.
SO BEAUTIFUL WITH SO MUCH FEELING Thank you and Sebastian what a talent
What can be said , Austin has a truly amazing voice , as does the other members of Home Free , individually they are all amazing , as a group they are breathtaking and totally brilliant
Austin Brown has one if the best God-given voices I've ever heard!!!
Austin Brown and Sissel Kyrkjebo! What a duet they could sing!
Austin has an amazing voice! It's a joy to hear him sing! ❤❤❤
Austin was incredible. That last note…so unexpected and he held it so long. Wow! Such a beautiful song and yes, it’s meaning is so inspiring. Good reaction Tara.😀
Obviously he has an incredible voice. However watching the emotional reactions of the vocal coach is quite amazing.
I'm a dyed in the wool Pentaholic and a Mitch and Avi fanatic but I sincerely believe Austin Brown is the best singer of all the a cappella groups. His solo work in several genres is outstanding.
Austin Brown should be a superstar.
Hard to judge. Austin has a musical theater background. Avi has been trained in opera. 2 totally different vocal ranges. Mitch is just Mitch counter tenor dramatic voice.
@@gailseatonhumbert It's all very subjective of course. The thing is, although I stand by what I said, I still prefer listening to Mitch or Avi or Pentatonix in general. I think, for me, it comes down to personalities and how that is expressed through their musical choices.
If it was just down to technical excellence I'd probably listen to opera. As it is I listen to Billie Holiday.
Home Free, Pentatonix, and Voice Play are the holy trinity of a capella. And they're friends, which is so damned appropriate.
@@GaiaOne Tim Foust is connected to most of the acapella world.
Homefree and Voiceplay are friends and each member of Homefree endorsed and tweeted about Avi Kaplan's A Capella Academy that he does every year for 12-18 year old singers from around the world.
I haven't seen additional connections to Pentatonix though are there more?
OMG. Les Mis is also my all-time very favorite, and my son and I, from his pre-teen years, could sing the whole thing start to end. I think we listened to it in the car more than anything else. When he died in October of 2020 at 31 years old, I actually thought about playing this song during the funeral, but just...could not. Couldn't even listen to it, and over a year and a half later still haven't--til now. And here I sit with the tears flowing, but I'm so glad I listened, because this is gorgeous. I love Home Free...every single one of the guys has such an amazing voice. :)
I'm so sorry for your loss 😞
God Bless you, may God keep your son's soul close.
💔
I can't imagine your pain. May God bless you.
Very sorry for the loss of your son.
What loving parent wouldn't die in place of their child to save them?? None that im know. Tara, this video showed me a different side of you. A "MOM"❤❤. This is one, if not your best ''reaction" to a song. Absolutely loved seeing this side.
Thank u. That means a lot.
An absolutley beautful singer gorgeous clear bright so pretty on the ear just love it.
Perfection! A instrument of his heart to touch our hearts. Yes that’s Austin.
Such a stunning performance. Seeing you brought to tears brought them on for me too Tara ❤️
I love Austin’s voice👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻amazing tone
Becoming a mother really affected me like this too. I cried easily before, now I am a wreck when I see/hear stuff like this. Austin is a lovely, passionate singer.
"This song is timeless, sadly" strikes home. Very well put. Nice rendition.
He is refreshing and pleasant to my ears 😊
Dude you are a fantastic singer thumbs up to you why at a moving goose bumps. I am seventy one you totally moved me. What a blessing
My nephew was in the Army. Many times I sang this prayer as well as praying.
24601 ... Jean valJean - the ultimate story of redemption. Such a passionate piece, this appeal to God to save Marius if only for making Cossette happy. A tear jerker for sure--Austin does it well.
I love how he took a gorgeous song traditionally performed by a deep high Baritone and, while doesn't have the vocal resonance we are used to, he takes it to new dimensions as a high tenor. As he approaches that last note you ask yourself, will he take it there and of course, he crushed it. So well done as always! And your reaction was perfect... as always!
Austan does have a musical theater background and it shows. I'm glad you checked this out 👍🤗
Beautiful rendition! Austin did justice to this classic ballad.
AHHGH I wasn't evening thinking about Ukraine at the beginning of the video, but as soon as you brought it up, I cried listening to the rest of the song. Les Mis also never fails to make me cry 😢♥
Wow! Les Mis is my all time fave musical also! Was NOT expecting the change in the ending that he did! Made my eyes widen and my head tilt and an OMG come out of my mouth! 😳😄 Loved it!!
Les Mis always makes me cry hysterically (particularly the beginning and ending) so I totally get it! One of my fav musicals too, and his cover is amazing! ❤️❤️❤️
I never understood how singers sing without crying themselves tbh. I’ve totally struggled with that.
I'm the same way, especially at the ending. It's virtually impossible not to cry after watching the whole story unfold. Such a good musical!
an absolutely amazing voice. Full body chills and all the feels. Wonderful!
The best version I have heard.
on PBS I just watched for the umpteenth time the 25th Anniversary special of Les Mis. I love that musical and sing to it all the time. Austin has such a clear voice and brought it home!
Love Austin's version, his and Josh Groban's are my 2 fav's.
I've literally watched this 20 times and I still thoroughly enjoy watching it. Not only because the singing is perfect but also because of her reactions to this superb singing. I get emotional with her. It's easy because of his singing.
He has an amazing voice.! We need to hear more of this talent! More!
just in his living room, a beautiful piano, a beautiful player all of a sudden epic!!!
Tara, it’s really good to see you back…you look great! Austin has been given a wonderful gift (as have all of the Home Free guys) to truly bless those who hear him.But it’s so much more than just the voice, it’s the heart and emotion behind what he does. To go from country boy to “Bring Him Home” to “When A Man Loves A Woman” and everywhere in between is remarkable. Please check out Home Free’s cover of “Brothers In Arms” by Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits.
This is by far, my favorite reaction you’ve done! I’ve been to Les Miserable twice, and Austin’s version of “Bring him home” is simply amazing!
I went down the Home Free rabbit hole last, and never looked back!
What a beautiful voice! I have goose bumps! Thank you Tara.
Thank you so much I really really enjoyed watching Austin singing with such amazing passion and sensitivity too. I’ve been watching Austin for a while too, and he is so very very talented and adorable too.
I'm 55, and grew up watching TV with my mother and grandfather. He loved westerns, so I've seen almost all the old westerns. My mother however, loved musicals, so I've seen almost all the old musicals. That said, I've seen Les Mirables. Not really my thing, but always appreciated the scores and talent involved. Austin's version was incredible, but after your little speech, I had to listen to it again, but with different ears. It brought a tear to my eyes. Thank you.
So absolutely beautiful! I had tears streaming down my face the entire song.
Oh, Austin does have such a beautiful, sweet, sweet tone. And that last note was all pure Austin at his best.
I've been waiting for your reaction to this, I KNEW you would love it. Tara, you did not disappoint
Austin can really hold his voice at the perfect pitch and timing.
Most pure voice ever
I absolutely LOVE this song and Austin's rendition. I'm typically not a crying man, but watching you in the first 60 seconds of this reaction had tears in my eyes and running down my cheeks. Thank you for the emotional reaction.
Austin Brown has a fabulous voice as do all of Home Free. All different but brilliant. You should listen to his version of Nessun Dorma with Rob Lundquist.
Austin is out of this realm!!! finish this song 😮❤
You just confirmed what I've always known about Austin.... amazing voice ,amazing talent
As soon as I saw the title, and knowing your love of Les Miz, I knew you would enjoy it. After doing Les Miserable myself, the music is engraved into your heart and soul❤❤ great analysis, Tara!
He strokes my heart with vocals 💓.
Not only is Austin a marvelous singer, but his pianist us exquisite.
Oh I am loving your reaction!! Austin is enough on his own, but so are you! Just loving the best song of all time. I agree on the consonant hold...different, but All Austin!! He started in a cast on cruise ships til Home Free found him, & thank God they did...he only compliments them.
thank you for you expressing feelings
I don't think Austin "sings" a song. I think he PERFORMS a song, especially this one. Especially now.
💯❤️❤️
Tara please listen Austin sing when a man loves a woman. so amazing
Many, Many Mothers Across the world have prayed the same prayer. I'll never understand war.
You really need to check out Home Free’s “Skull and Bones” video. Double bass by Chance (who wrote it) and Tim. Awesome!
I just found him the vocal range is rare. Keep doing it Austin. I'll be listening. Much love. Tasmania Australia
Les Mis is absolute favorite! Your reactions were exactly the same as mine. Beautiful phrasing, beautiful tonality, just...breathtakingly gorgeous!
He is AMAZING!!!
Wow, that was amazing!
My favorite is and always will be, Alfie Boe. I would love to hear him perform live. 💙
this stunned me the first time I heard it and it still does ❤️🏴
Home Free did this live in concert. I love Austin Brown.
How do you critique something that can't be faulted. Beautiful song, Beautiful voice.
WOW, that hit home, my heart melted, what an awesome singer this fellow is.. BRAVO Austin and well reviewed Tara :D
Best wishes from Wales
Ooof! I’m right there with you with the emotions 😢 With Memorial Day right around the corner, I lift all those up in prayer who gave their all willingly so I may live my life freely 🙏
My eyes are watering
I wish you would use headphones so you can hear Austin’s voice as it really is. You won’t know what you are missing until you use headphones.
That was Amazing !! I have prayed this prayer as well. Thank you
My FAVOURITE solo by Austin is "Danny Boy"...you should REALLY watch it. SO controlled, SO tender, SO beautiful!
I was NOT prepared for this 🥺🥺😭
Gosh, what a beautiful rendition of such a timeless song and an awesome reaction! Thanks Tara! ❤️
This is one of my favorite songs from Les Mis. Austin is awesome and you’re awesome for reacting to this.
OMG…Goosebumps from the first note!
Every time a singer sings a piece of music that singer has to convince his or her audience about the feeling given to that particular piece of music. Otherwise you are just singing notes and words with out meaning. That's why if you sing for example "If I can't love her" from the musical Beauty and The Beast the right singer will convince about the resentment, fear and pain the beast has. Austin shows here with this great song that he has that power in his voice and also adds a little of himself to it making the song almost personal.
Tara, it's absolutely moving and heartwarming to see how much this song moved you, thank you for explaning why. I feel the same about my 25 year old stepson, he is going through some wonderful changes in his live and I'm eager and a little apprehensive what the future has in store for him.
Kind reagrds.
Austin Brown is fabulous! Love him!!
Hi, Tara, just wanted to say that this is my favourite musical piece. As a father of three girls and 1 boy, everytime I hear this song, I think about my own son. I completely understand your reaction to this song. And even though I'm late on this video, I wanted to say that as a purist on this number, I one hundred percent agree with you on this arrangement. It's absolutely brilliant. #ShineTheLight
The last bright note sounded so hopeful!
Leaving Tara speachless, that is definitely something
Oh this gave me chills & a few tears as well. Just loved it. Thank you for the information in your reaction. I'm not a singer so I just know I love it but the information you've given helps me to understand the intricacies & the talent I'm hearing. 💕
Austin is one of my favourite singers
Please do a video on him singing When a man loves a woman! He nailed that one.
Absolutely beautiful
Not only did he go up for the last note, he increased the volume too. Excellent.
I really loved that crescendo at the end too!
Aww bless your beautiful reaction Tara, you’re so lovely
Tara, thank you for always sharing both personal and parts of the story behind the music. I appreciate your comments. Thank You!
He did a VERY GOOD job.. lots of emotion! I have to say though, the best rendition I've ever heard is by David Phelps. Austin comes close and that's says a lot, cause David has one of the best voices in there is. Good luck and God bless you Austin!!
A Highschool friend of mine has volunteered to fight for freedom in Ukraine. He is fighting with a Ukrainian Special Forces Team who specializes in bringing women and children back from behind enemy lines. Bring him home! I am 66 years old and have slept with the leaves pulled down around me in hope of feeling safe. Bring him home, bring home home, as the hero he is!
God bless you and your friend. There is nothing more noble, more honorable, more heroic than putting one’s own life on the line for the protection of others. I pray for his safe return and for the safety of all the innocents.
Truly enjoyed watching your reaction to this song. You need to watch his Tears In Heaven. I think that because he went to college for musical theater. You can tell that he really feels every emotion.
Austin studied musical theater in college. He was doing musical theater on the cruise ship when Home Free found him.
I don't think she reads comments. Austin knows exactly what he's doing with the song.
That was so beautiful 😍he did a great job stirring emotion beautiful song when you said something about Ukraine I saw something yesterday that really upset me with all the kids shot on the street as of today 21 thousand new terabytes yea thanks to you
