you will Love brothers in Arms / Mayday / Snow Globe / Full of Cheer / Cold Hard Cash / Dreamer / also Dreamer Live with Texas Hill at the Ryman (Holy Church of Country Music) / One Man Band / Diamond Dreams / Catch Me If You Can / Cover Me Up / yeah I'm not a fan giggle
I agree with Dawn. I do hope you will be doing May Day, Brother's in Arms, or God Bless the Broken Road. All are incredibly well done with lots to analyze. #Subscriptionsquad
I grew up listening to Crosby, Stills & Nash & had their album with this song Helplessly Hoping. Absolutely loved them & their harmonies. This song is full of alliterations. Home Free more than does justice to all the songs they cover. And this song is perfection to me with the 5 part harmonies. I can't say enough about how great these guys are & humble while still staying respectful to the original song.
Yes, Yes, Yes! I also grew up with CSN...&Y (I'm Canadian) and have absolute respect for how Home Free covered this classic and also, being a huge Dire Straits fan, love their version of Brothers In Arms.
I spoke to both Chance and Tim about this song at VIP last week. This was Chance's baby. He had a vision of what he wanted visually and vocally with people coming in each in turn, but it was Tim who did the actual arrangement.
Now you see why I recommended this one on at least one occasion. An all vocal masterclass on harmonies, proving that you don’t need to have a complex arrangement to get an amazing performance
Might be the largest whiplash you could have had between two days of home free lol. Glad you finally got to this one as the harmonies and the way they linger is intense
After hearing this song with three voices for 55 years with three voices, I had some trepidation about adding voices, but they nailed it. For a song with absolutely no bass part, just enough was added. It all speaks to their mastery of the art and their professionalism.
Crosby Stills & Nash broke some ground with this song, creating an alliterative lyric that lingers in one's mind and soul. I believe this is Home Free's finest hour, in terms of technical prowess and harmonic perfection. But that unison singing, though! I love it, and I love your breakdown of it as always, Jen. Many thanks!
as always our Boys showed out and performed to perfection. Just to show you how valuable Chance is, this was his project & vision....he directed this video and I think his artistic choices are awesome !!! B & W, lighting....it's all perfect
I discovered these men several years ago when they won sing off. Been hooked ever since. I seen them live about 4 years ago and they are truly just as good live as on video and a genuine good group of men. They are coming here to Eastern Idaho again this October and my wife and I were lucky enough to get great seats. They sold out in one day. I enjoy your reactions and hope that things are all good with you. Peace.
As a lover of vocal harmonies, this used to be my favorite Home Free cover, that is until they recently released their cover of Dire Straits' Brothers In Arms, which is harmonies' heaven.
It's hard to pick a favorite. To me, it depends on what kind of mood I'm in, and what I'm thinking at the time. I still love Butts when I want to have a good laugh, Brothers in Arms when I'm thinking of our Soldiers, and Amazing Grace when I'm thinking of spirituality. ALL of their songs resonate with my soul
Jennifer your enthusiasm and love for vocals is infectious and puts a smile on my face. Great song, great performance and great reaction/review. Thanks!
I love that you picked up on the unison at the beginning. What makes it all the more impressive for me is that it occurs with a bass/baritone and a tenor instead of two voices of equal pitch. It showcases both the range and level of talent of these guys. And the unison is near perfect.
Glad you chose this song, timing and precise notes makes this piece one of the best. How great thou art is just as good if not better! Adam takes the lead in a small section of that one! Love your breakdowns! Helps me with my singing! Kenneth
All of what Home Free did in this song was done on the original (as far as the harmonies, changes, slides and breaking up some of the words). Check out the original by Crosby, Stills and Nash (not a live version).
Very true to the original. Crosby Stills and Nash and for the time he was with them Young were a brilliant combo. Definitely a major part of the soundtrack of my youth.
The variety and versatility of these guys is so impressive. I think they could sing just about anything. Thank you for your analysis. It's always so interesting and informative.
That unison you pointed out is phenomenal. The first time I heard this without seeing the video, I didn’t even know there were two people singing there!
Always love your reviews Jen because they are informative as well as entertaining. Love your persona. My problem is that sometimes I have to go back and listen to what you just said over again because I get distracted by your pretty face, charm and wide range of endearing facial expressions. You're just a pleasure to watch. Can't wait for Day 3. So glad you're focusing on my favourite group Home Free. Saw them live in Toronto in May and they were fantastic. Including Adam doing an amazing drum solo. My wife was blown away by how she could "feel" Tim's low notes and how full the sound was considering no instruments other than voices. Thanks again.
An exquisite 5-part harmony masterpiece!!!!! Besides the unbelievable harmonies, getting to hear Adam Rupp's sweet tenor actually singing is such a great treat ❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️ The best example of Adam's singing voice being clearly on display is near the end of Home Free's "Guilty Pleasures" videos. The "hilariously derailed" versions are even more fabulous for days when you might need a laugh break 🤣
We have just lost a great talent from my generation with the passing of David Crosby (Jan. 2023). But Home Free's beautifully haunting arrangement of this song with help keep the legacy alive for another generation. More great talent to celebrate. RIP David.
I have been wanting to see you react to this video for some time now to see how you break it down. I am going to borrow something you said in another reaction video of yours " Stop Pausing" 😜 lol. no on a serious note, love how you break down each song that you react too and it is fun to see your reactions to a lot of these songs. Hope you plan on doing a reaction video for "How great thow art" by Home Free, probably may favorite song they have done. Keep up the great work and thanks for your great videos 💓
I love this cover of theirs. It demonstrates so well their vocal control. I'm puzzled why I didn't get a notification from TH-cam about this one having been posted up. I knew you were doing a HF week so I thought I'd just check and sure enough here's day 2. Well anyway, glad I came here despite the TH-cam mix up. Talk about picking 2 extremes to react to in two days! Lol. You've done a most excellent job, as usual. I do hope you get the chance to see them live one day. If you find what the do amazing in studio, you'll be blown over by their live performances!
The harmonies in this cover are haunting. I agree that it's too short though! One of their best. I think they one-upped themselves with Brothers in Arms though.
One of my favorites of theirs. It’s hauntingly beautiful. Their harmonies are so good. Yeah what a contrast between yesterday Butts Remix and today. Hahaha. Love this one. Good reaction Jen!😄
Great job Jen! I love this rendition because it is more solemn than the original performance, and more in keeping with Stephen Stills' lyric direction. Stills is one of my musical heroes, the first person to be inducted *twice* into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, in the same night no less. He has stayed consistently in Rolling Stone's 100 Greatest Guitarists list.
I'm a big fan of Crosby, Stills & Nash as well as Dire Straits. Home Free's versions of "Helplessly Hoping" and "Brothers In Arms" pay huge respect to the originals and are masterpieces in their own but listening to the originals if you don't know them would make you love Home Free even more.
I think you would enjoy listening to Home Free collaborating with Peter Hollens, singing “I still haven’t found what I’m looking for”. It is a technical masterpiece for the amazing blending of voices. I believe they worked in over 300 of their Patreon members into the song.
Both Adam's swapped out of their high-highs and low-lows a couple of times in there. Most people don't think about Rupp having the range he does, but it shows in his beatboxing so smoothly that no one notices. Especially when doing the DJ stuff he will have high squeal scratches mixed with thundering 808 bass in the same breath.
Completely different from yesterday but WOW! Loved seeing this side :)
See you tomorrow! X
you will Love brothers in Arms / Mayday / Snow Globe / Full of Cheer / Cold Hard Cash / Dreamer / also Dreamer Live with Texas Hill at the Ryman (Holy Church of Country Music) / One Man Band / Diamond Dreams / Catch Me If You Can / Cover Me Up / yeah I'm not a fan giggle

Some reactors dismiss them as "countrty bumpkins" these are professional artists and they care about their craft
Don´t forget "in the blood"
Recommend you listen to the original. This is faithful to that but with their own spin and feel.
Yes. Yes and yes. Spot on.
Such a gorgeous cover of CSN&Y 💜💜💜
No Y on this one, guys...
@@larryfisher7056 Don't worry, it's a Canadian thing 🤓
Their Helplessly Hoping gives me goosebumps every time! And then I start to tear up. It's just so beautiful.
I spoke to both Chance and Tim about this song at VIP last week. This was Chance's baby. He had a vision of what he wanted visually and vocally with people coming in each in turn, but it was Tim who did the actual arrangement.
Oh I love hearing these little inside stories; thank you!
Aren't they great live?
Thanks for the info.
Thanks for the info. As a big fan of the original, I didn’t love it on the first listen. But as of the 2nd listen, I adore this HF version.
This is the most captivating performance of a unique song.
The use of reverb in this is absolutely EPIC. Gives me chills every time I hear it. Kudos to the tech that got it PERFECT.

Very powerful! Thank you 😊
Never thought unison could sound so pretty!
I love how you geek out over their vocals.
This is IMO their most hauntingly beautiful song. I'm so glad you're reacting/analyzing it!
Harmony perfection ... Home Free ... 'nuff said !!!
Another one with great harmony and beautiful video is How Great Thou Art. They really make you feel it.
as always our Boys showed out and performed to perfection. Just to show you how valuable Chance is, this was his project & vision....he directed this video and I think his artistic choices are awesome !!! B & W, lighting....it's all perfect
Thank you! Home Free’s version is haunting.

I saw them in Boise, Sept 22.
Wonderful show.
One of my favourite songs Ever. Home Free absolutely killed it. Thank you so much for your time and reaction. Peace and blessings.
You keep playing home Free! I'll keep watching your videos!
😊😊
Not many reactors have commented on how long Tim held that low note when they were counting down how many they were. Awesome breath control
Absolutely beautiful and shows off how versatile they are. Loved it
As a lover of vocal harmonies, this used to be my favorite Home Free cover, that is until they recently released their cover of Dire Straits' Brothers In Arms, which is harmonies' heaven.

Thank you! 😊
Love, Love these guys!!!!
Perfection! Home Free is so versatile! Love them!!
No one else has, so I'll just commend the extensive use of jazz hands in this video. Well deserved.
Chills down my spine when the Basso kicks in
"Lo---ost: Goes with the word, because they are not together." Very astute observation. Clever clever, Glatz. Hofer!
😊😊
as aleays great job, cant wait till tomorrow. you can put all thier songs in a hat ,just pick one out. You cant go wrong with any song.
Hahah very true!
We need a month reaction to Home Free ;) beautiful and interesting reaction, like usual!
Love this. ❤️ Your facial expressions match all of those who watch this for the first time. Hauntingly beautiful performance.
For sure!😊
I love that you picked up on the unison at the beginning. What makes it all the more impressive for me is that it occurs with a bass/baritone and a tenor instead of two voices of equal pitch. It showcases both the range and level of talent of these guys. And the unison is near perfect.
This song is the song I go to sleep to every night. And so have I done for about 3 years. Never get tired of the song.🥰
Vocal coach part is great butt message of song is what music is about.
I think this is their best song for harmonies that they have made
Glad you chose this song, timing and precise notes makes this piece one of the best. How great thou art is just as good if not better! Adam takes the lead in a small section of that one! Love your breakdowns! Helps me with my singing! Kenneth
Yay!! Thank you 😊
This one is absolutely flawless (like "Auld Lang Syne"). Chance is solo on "Can't Outrun You" - so beautiful.
I think you will appreciate this one Jennifer.
The sustain toward the end was incredible
Indeed!
Your joy is infectious! Thanks! Love it!
All of what Home Free did in this song was done on the original (as far as the harmonies, changes, slides and breaking up some of the words). Check out the original by Crosby, Stills and Nash (not a live version).
Exquisite expertise, and the review was almost that good. This song shows off HF's sheer skill.
Very true to the original. Crosby Stills and Nash and for the time he was with them Young were a brilliant combo. Definitely a major part of the soundtrack of my youth.
OMG, Jen! I've waited forever for you to react to this one! :O I just love love love their performance here!!!
The variety and versatility of these guys is so impressive. I think they could sing just about anything. Thank you for your analysis. It's always so interesting and informative.
Their harmonies and arrangements are AMAZING
This is so super sung with great harmonies from all five members. The black and white video really finishes it off. So short, but oh so powerful!
The harmonies in this song are incredible. Loved your Butts reaction.
Wasn't this glorious? I love that they do this live during their shows sometimes. Looking forward to the rest of the week.
That unison you pointed out is phenomenal. The first time I heard this without seeing the video, I didn’t even know there were two people singing there!
ok, off the wall comment.... you have the coolest earrings i have ever seen! you are a fabulous reactor, keep up the great work!!
This one of the very few covers of CS&N that I actually love. Hanuting.
The Sustain from the LAST 2 notes from Tim were about 30 Seconds EACH !
Always love your reviews Jen because they are informative as well as entertaining. Love your persona. Adam has a great voice when he does sing. You can hear it a little bit in How Great Thou Art.
In his reaction video to Do You Hear What I Hear, Chris says Adam has a line there too.
Alabama Sampler is a better video to hear his voice in.
@@MatthewvMayo absolutely I didn't think of that.
Yes he also a tenor
I can’t wait. This is going to blow your mind jen
I Love Tim's 5 octave range
this song is gonna blow your mind it is so good.
Please listen to that last section....Tim holds a bass note throughout until the last line
New subscriber I'm from the Philippines I will always watching your videos ilove it
An exquisite 5-part harmony masterpiece!!!!!

Thank you!! 😊
Hi Jennifer hope you are having an great and awesome day ❤
I just love your reactions and breakdowns of their voices,ty and please keep going I love what you do
Thank you!
At the end of Home Free Week we need to hear Jennifer singing live with Home Free guys! 😊 ❤️
Such beautiful and rich harmony. I love listening to this. Pure ear candy! ...And that resolve near the end! 😍
Powerful stuff ... these guys nailed it. 'Nuff said.
There are some great sustaining notes in this one.
This versions by Home Free always gives me chills no matter how many times I hear it
The opposite of the Butts Remix is How Great Thou Art. Thanks for your reaction to my favorite Acapella band.
Your face when rob comes in with chance, that is why I watch🤤
We have just lost a great talent from my generation with the passing of David Crosby (Jan. 2023). But Home Free's beautifully haunting arrangement of this song with help keep the legacy alive for another generation. More great talent to celebrate. RIP David.

my wife and i saw Home Free a few years ago in Cottage Grove Oregon .we got to meet them !

Oh how strange! But yes, two very different videos 😂
This song is beautiful 😀
Loved the reaction as always 😊

"Anyway the Wind Blows" "Everything Will Be Okay" Home Free.
You couldn't have picked a better song!
I love your reactions. Your face says so much 🤗
The harmonies in this cover are haunting. I agree that it's too short though! One of their best. I think they one-upped themselves with Brothers in Arms though.
Oh and How Great Thou Art!
One of my favorites of theirs. It’s hauntingly beautiful. Their harmonies are so good. Yeah what a contrast between yesterday Butts Remix and today. Hahaha. Love this one. Good reaction Jen!😄
The extended bass note you hear at "Lost" is Tim and Chance. It took me a few repeats to realize it was two voices, not one.
Love your reactions! Thank you for your insight.
Thank you 😊
Great job Jen! I love this rendition because it is more solemn than the original performance, and more in keeping with Stephen Stills' lyric direction. I love how they all sound together. Great range and harmonies. 😍
For sure!!! 😊
Great song (I’ve always loved the CSNY original as well).
Love, love, love this song. The only descriptive word I can think of is 'precision'😮
Pure talent!!💗
Thanks for the review. Would have liked to hear your thoughts on the alliteration - how easy or difficult it is and how it is best done. Cheers!
cant wait for you to reacrt to this song, im sure you will love it
Jenn! Your are a Gem! Love your reactions and your own performances! Love your attention to detail!
Ah thank you!
Frowny face right off the bat. Impressively hits that low note. Cute , fun and informative as always.
Hahha 😂 it’s getting there for sure, right?!
You are a delight, Jen, and your genuine enjoyment of the music is a delight. Thank you :~)
This one is so emotional ❤️
