I cant wait till next year when you buy the new Mitsubishi Triton mid size truck that's finally coming to America. Lol! Rumor is it'll be a rebadged Nissan Frontier, which is good in my book. The Frontier has always had a good reputation and it'll be fun to see one with a Mitsubishi 4WD system and tuned suspension.
Hey ya never know hahaha. I love Mitsu. Hey that will be cool and I like the look of the new Frontier! I hope they keep this generation Mirage around for a while still. I know in Europe they are bringing a rebadged Renault Clio as a new 2023-2024 Mitsubishi Colt but it says it will not replace the Space Star/Mirage there at least not right away…
I heard that you should change the cvt fluid on those every 20k miles or every year whichever comes first cause the fluid degrades faster than regular automatic transmission fluid does. Same goes with the engine oil. Every 5k mi or every year whichever comes first.
CVTs you do have to change the fluid more regularly than normal automatics. With these Mirages CVT my dealer tells me every 3 years or 30,000 miles. I really like my dealer at Five Star Mitsubishi and trust them and they have been great through our 6 Mitsubishis over the years. Look up the 414,000 mile 2014 Mitsubishi Mirage CVT and the owners traded it for another new 2020 Mirage GT it was such a good car. Its also on the Mitsubishi website under Mirage and many news pages online too. Its a neat read check it out. CVT transmissions do require more care than regular automatics absolutely and alot of people abuse that and they fail due to lack of maintenance. My friend has a 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer CVT with over 170,000 miles on it and its a CVT and she has done her CVT fluid every 60,000 miles give or take and just did the 3rd fluid change recently. I do my oil ever 6 months or twice a year. It takes the 0W20 synthetic oil and the manual says to do the oil every 6 months or 7,500 miles. I do mine like I said every 6 months and at that time my car has only went between 2,500 and 3,500 miles lol as I do low miles. I always like to keep up on my maintenance with my cars to keep them like new. The Mirages are very reliable lil cars and their CVT is more reliable than most. It is a JatcoCVT 7 unit. Thank you for the comment ai appreciate it.
@@kmckenzie2461 ya i agree with you. my mitsubishi dealer told me my cvt is a sealed system and that it doesn’t need maintenance. and i was like. do i look stupid to you? so why does it have a dipstick and a place where you can add cvt fluid from the engine bay. also why does it have a filter you can change just by taking the wheel off and unscrewing 1 screw. like it doesn’t make sense. but yes i’ll be changing my fluid every year cause i heard that hot climates and heat degrades the fluid quicker and i live in a hot area. like it almost never rains at all in the whole year. and my friend who’s a mechanic told me that never listen to what an oil company tells you and always change the oil every 5k or every year in any new car. especially tgdi engines. despite the bottle saying it’s good for 7,500 mi or 10,000 miles. he said it’s all a plan to make your car burn oil so you can buy from them more.
@@rocketshiftgaming5693 I agree I always do my oil early and on the low end mile wise yepB. My Dad was a mechanic for Porsche, Audi, Subaru and Volkswagen for years and then worked at CSX (trains) for like 40 years then also. He always taught me to keep up on maintenance and to take care of my car. I dont think that sounds right at all for a CVT wow. I know Nissan years back especially on 1st and 2nd generation CVTs in the vehicles had tons of issues. Their CVTs are and were Jatcocunits like in the Mirage too bit Jatco has much improved their CVT reliability. The Mirage used the Jatco CVT 7 and it has proven to be very reliable and overall easy to work on for a CVT they say. My Dad said the Mirages engine is such a simple basic design with a timing chain and will run forever and be so easy on repairs. Like that 414,000 mile Mitsubishi Mirage online its crazy and its a CVT lol. They loved it so much they bought another. Also me personally I would not go 7,500 miles or 10,000 miles per oil change either Im with ya.
@@lenamtran4789 I placed that there its a Mitsubishi OEM badge. In some countries there is a built in small dash shelf there but in the USA there is just a plastic trim pice for the area.

Is it possible that you can do a acceleration video with the trunk fully loaded and four people in the car
I shud be taking a trip to Altoona Pa soon and if so there may be 4 of us and I could do a 4 passenger video then.
Ok thank you
I used to work at a car rental company and the carpet was always a nightmare to clean
Oh I bet so especially the way people abuse rental cars that was prob a hard cleaning job!
HOW IN THE WORLD HAS IT ALREADY BEEN A YEAR?!? 😶😮
I know its insane how fast time goes!

It was either amazon or ebay I believe both places sell them in a few colors and patterns and they have held up perfect over the past year.
