I've been made aware by a few commenters that DuPont was playing in the *West Virginia State Championship* not the National Championship. My mistake! Also, subtitle lovers, I've moved them to the "closed caption" section, that way you as the viewer can choose if you have them on or not. They are still custom made and not AI generated by TH-cam. Thank you guys as always for watching, much love
jason williams lowkey chill bruh. no matter what, he never blamed his team or teammates. instead, it was always him. jason williams is the GOAT passer!
no ones talking about how crazy it is that a town of 1000 people was where one of the best nfl recievers of all time and one of the most stylish and fun nba players of all time were born
There has been a video on TH-cam for 11 years called "Jason Williams Is Physically Incapable of Making a Routine Chest Pass" which by the way has way better highlights than this one. It has about 9 million views. Don't tell me you're glad Williams is finally getting some exposure.
BTW you kept saying he played a national championship game in high school with Moss but it was a state championship for West Virginia. There are no national championships for high school sports teams.
Lots of NBA players played other sports in high school. Allan Iverson was such a good quarterback that a lot of people think he could have been a star in the NFL
J-Will it's and will always be one of my favorite players in NBA history. He was an artist, provided fun to the crowd and had such a special talent for passing that I believe, you can only see that kinda style on hoopers that play on the streets but not in NBA anymore.
I always thought Jason Williams was so underrated. I would put him in my top 10 PGs, surely one of the best passers ever. I’d put him at #10. Sure his stats aren’t great but it’s his skills that were so elite. He was unlucky mostly as he played vs elite teams like Stockton/Malone Jazz, Kobe/Shaq Lakers, Duncan/Robinson Spurs, etc. But glad he got his ring.
Not to mention his coolness! He was embraced by the Black community, which is why the nickname "White Chocolate" suited him so well! I noticed he has a Black Panther tatted on his arm as well!
Watching him play was an absolute treat. A master class on what how a real PG runs an offense, keeps his teammates engaged and the defense on their heels. Thank you ⚪️🍫
The look on Gary Payton's face told the whole story. Payton had just seen the world's greatest magic trick. Now you see me. Now you don't. It is still one of the greatest days in Kings history. Not only did it make Kings fans proud, which was not something we were famiiliar with, but it made everyone else jealous. What a time to be alive.
Still the most entertaining passer i've ever seen. Magic, kidd, nssh ect are brtter assistmen but as far as excitement is concerned, he's in top. He's crafty, flashy and very creative🔥🔥
I remember seeing a Randy Moss documentary and he mentioned Jason Williams and my first thought was NO WAY, next thought was They had 2 of the best athletes ever on 1 team in high school. White chocolate is an absolute legend
Jason was a unique player with a special set of skills, that nobody could compare to! Which is what made him great!! Along with his basketball IQ he expanded every year of his career! He’s definitely one of the top PG’s in my book!
White Chocolate is like mixed version of John Stockton Magic Johnson Pete Maravich & Chris Paul the way he passed the ball for his assist point man i love passing assists 🔥🏀
He should've gone to at least one All-Star game. Some dudes go when they really shouldn't just because of their name and what they did earlier in their career.
This is my unpopular opinion but I think Jason Williams deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. And I think he's the best passer of all time. Like I said unpopular opinion.😊
Man I loved watching white chocolate play when I was growing up! White chocolate and A.I. Allen Iverson!! were two of the coolest most exciting players that I have ever seen and were two of my favorite players of all time!
White Chocolate is the truth. The man is always humble & when someone try's to give him credit Jason always makes sure his teammates get it as well making him a real class act. I have no problems with J-Will being in the top 10 because of his skill set, unselfish play style, 1 of only 3 NBA players to play the game with the streetball style play successfully that I know of plus he is an NBA champion. The only other 2 are Allen Iverson & LaMelo Ball. Jason Williams said in an interview Rafer Alston could have done what he did probably better unfortunately for Rafer he was handcuffed by his coach not allowing him to play like that. I remember that NBA Championship Miami Heat Vs Mavericks like it was yesterday. I live in DFW and went to game one of Dallas home games with terrible seats. We were devastated by the loss but since Jason Williams got a ring it made it tolerable. Not to take anything away from the Heat, but the truth is the truth the NBA commissioner and Mavericks owner at each other's throat because they couldn't control Mark Cuban who said and did as he pleased. When it looked like the Mavs were going to run away with the finals suddenly the officiating just flip flopped with every call going the other way no matter how blatant it was didn't matter the more obvious the better to make an example out of Cuban you get out of line it will cost you big. Ask Mark Jackson when he openly admitted the NBA cheats by the use of official's whistle, and the Commissioner slapped him with an enormous fine & suspended him. We would see this exact scenario repeat with Jeff Vangundy and the Commissioner made a side note concerning him that if he did it again, he would be suspended permanently. When people say the refs cannot change the outcome of a game haha shit they can tilt the balance the other way easily just ask the Mafia who had at least 3 NBA refs in their pockets in the early 2000s fixing games raking in a fortune for them until they got busted being too greedy.
One of my all time favourite players. Wasnt that great of a player but maaaaaaaaan did the white chocolate leave me with some great basketball memories!
@@Outofboundshoopsno worries man. I grew up in WV, so I appreciate the content all the same. Thanks for including his background with Randy Moss and noting that Jerry West is a West Virginia native as well!
Bruh he was the starting PG on a championship team and contributed exactly what they needed. Thats more accolades than your favorite player Critical thinking bro
That’s the prob with accolades, a lot of times you have no control over getting accolades. You can be on worst team with little help, or play against super elite teams like Kobe/Shaq Lakers or Duncan/Robinson Spurs. Some players like Bill Russell had all star players loaded on his Celtics for 10+ years with only 8-10 teams in NBA so less competition. I don’t value accolades but value pure elite skill & less flaws in your game.
the elbow pass is not impossible to replicate.. literally every dude w handles in the 20000s was doing it.... but yes j-dub is my 2nd fav ball handler in nba history behind jamal crawford.. kyrie is 3 and god shamgod is 4.... kyrie is the most effective but sometimes it looks sloppy where as the others always look good... dont get me wrong tho kyrie is the best player of the ball handlers tho.....
The hilarious thing is back in that era he wasnt a factor 😂 he was a fun player to watch in the And 1 era and thats about it. JW was never a top PG ever. Not even top 10 in assists. Time and other factors has done his game wonders
Seriously. J-Will was entertaining but he was a lousy shot, and terrible on defense, and anyone who watched that era considers a question about him being top ten ever to be hilarious. There are ten better PGs in the league right now. There might even be in the West.
If You was In Sacramento And witness Jason Williams and Chris Webber Mike Bibby Doug Christie , Peja Stojakovich , Vladi Divac , you Witness one Of the BEST basketball teams the NBA ever seen and J will and his passes was some of the most electrifying ball movement ever! much like Pistol pete!

I still say Magic Johnson was the goat passer and John Stockton was better, and so was Jason Kidd but yeah Jason Williams is in the top four
@@thebig12conference73steve nash is the best and most effective passer

I thought the same thing! 2 of the best athletes ever, on the same team in high school
It's nuts right!
I love how Randy Moss is just a footnote in the story. Wild AF.
so glad jason williams got some exposure on the internet from his sick skills
He was close to what we wanted to see the and1 boys do in the league fr.
He had nasty work on those passing skills. Especially at such a high lvl w millions of ppl watching.
Fr
Dude he’s been had exposure for decades kid 😂😂

yup, insane right!
Same here 😎 That’s good stuff

White chocolate has to be one of the best nicknames in NBA history.
facts
Williams respected by every hooper. No question
"I had to do it once, sorry" had me rolling
He would be considered one the best in today’s game. Great shooter, passer with amazing handles
One of my favorite players of all time. He had such a good head on his shoulders even at at a young age. Def top 10 PG in my book.
Glad he got his ring. I thought he wasn't a NBA champion.
Great video!
Thanks bro!
So fun to watch White Chocolate in action. Will always be a big fan!
You know your a fan when you know how nickname white chocolate was legit

Hey man been a fan since your first video and I just want to say that’s your videos are very underrated and hope that you get more exposure
Thank you Luis, we will get there one day! As usual, I'm just glad you are here
Bruh, arguably the best wide receiver of all time and one of the best facilitators of the era being on the same basketball team is nuts😭
Great video my guy!

J Will just a chill bro that played multiple sports and was essential in both 💯🙂

if you didn't watch the NBA, you would definitely think this dude was a superstar, love JWill
Being from sacramento, he was always a superstar in my eyes
Bro was training like goku with the weights on
crazy him and randy moss came out of the same tiny town
Williams is definitely up there. However, I would have love to have seen Pistol Pete in today's bball.

Some of the best on TH-cam. 😂 Thank God for TH-cam.
Him and AI was one of the most EXCITING pg I tell u that much
Epic - good work mate
coolest realest dude ever too
Jason Williams was insane! Can you do a video about Donovan Mitchell??
One day!
Thats the West Virginia state championship game, not national.
"he'd be a great middle school coach"... foul 😭
Saw him played with the Kings, he was sick. Glad he managed to win a championship finally.
Great video ❤

The goat 🗣️⚪🍫🔥
Great video subscribed
My man much love
Best times of my life were at Arco watchin the late 90’s early 00’s Kings with j-dub, Peja, Vlad, Web, Corliss, just electric.
Unreal how many great athletes & people have had their lives negatively altered by draconian laws/rules against left handed cigarettes
Yeah,he was awesome. His passed were like Pistol Pete and Magic.
Been following this guy since the nugget bogged vid❤️❤️❤️
Love you bro
the look on paytons face when williams crossed him up, lol
FYI, they were playing in the state championship game (West Virginia AAA state championship). Not the national championship game.

Pistol Pete #1
The elbow pass is easier than it looks but nobody can prefect it like white chocolate
I think hes one of the top 10 most skillful ball handlers and skillful at his position but he lacks the accolades to be a true top 10 all time.

My bad on that one, always going to make 1 mistake per video... :(
White Chocolate was that dude! 😎

the fact my family watched these games
bro just casually mentioning that randy moss was his teammate 😂
what is in credible, is that you never once mentioned his shooting efficiency.
