Shaq made a lot of impressive shots from the post. He had a crazy jump hook. He made a lot of big shots, they were just close range. Anyone who has watched the film will know this.
I love it how you put this together with great effort...and with great respect! ...and I still believe that Nick Anderson sold those free-throws in 95.
Just imagine that today? A team drafts two generational players back to back, one of them a top ten player ever, and they walk away with three additional draft picks for their trouble 😰 That would be like getting Wemby and Banchero and three draft picks in back to back drafts 🤣
No doubt that Shaq benefited from the military-styled treatment he received. Not saying it's the best solution to raising a son, but it is a great tactic to instill toughness and determination. Great video! Hopefully one day my content will be just as dope 👊
If your kid suffers from weakness or timidity, send them to boxing lessons to toughen up. But don't oppress them "military-style" in their everyday life.
Honestly, the Magic were very smart when getting afernee hardaway, because not only would they get him they would also get multiple first round draft picks. That was kinda big brain
This is an amazing video. I thought it would be low quality like some other basketball channels, but I haven’t even finished the video and I’m completely captivated by your storytelling skills.
U outdid yourself with this doc my brother. Id say keep up the good work but thats all you seem to do so I will say good health to you and yours for all time.
For his time, Shaq was special. He was past his prime when the game evolved to primarily being a three point shooting affair, and his style of play was obsolete. I do think a prime Shaq in this day and age would still be a problem, but his lack of shooting would be exploited by opponents much more effectively than in times past. It is a hypothetical thing to say someone would or would not make it in today's game, but I think all greats of the sport would have found a way
He also played center, his role was mostly defensive and when he did shoot it was from the inside. His freakish size was his asset. He wasn’t meant to be a shooter. But it is wild that he never learned free throws.

If shaq could shoot he could’ve been the goat. The coach knew shaq was established to lead the team and in doing so would make room for Kobe to shine and come into his own.
I dont even watch basketball, and these videos are perfect for me! I cant wait the inevitable LeBron documentary, or the cover you do on the 2024 USA Olympic team
We all witness that Shaq and Yao Ming can't shoot due to their height, especially their awkward athleticism away from the goal pole. It's usually hookshot and close dunk by using their body weight as strength against an opposing player. They majority tends to play the power forward position. I personally think that Tim Duncan was the best player there is compared to Shaq and Yao Ming in terms of playing the power forward position and close range shootings, which all others have failed doing so.

Id argue he has incredibly good touch around the rim with floaters, hook shots, and overall soft touch and counter footwork. I understand that may not be considered “shooting” but alot of athletic big men lacked touch and really become dunkers only
It’s funny how Shaquille despises those who can make baskets and have great basketball intelligence. One little rule change and nobody would know his name, yet he’s the boss. Strange world.

If Arvydas had remained healthy, let alone started playing basketball as a child as opposed to an old man, he would have been one of the greatest centers ever.
IMO, Shaq was lucky to be born in the time that he played in the NBA where today's 'do it all' game wasn't a thing. If he'd been in his prime today, he wouldn't even be a bench player. There is no room today for one-dimensional guys. Steph Curry is the new go-to archetype... you don't need to be big, but you need to have godly handles, good speed, and a great all-range shot.
