1:24 I’m actually burning a dvd with movies on it as I type this comment lol 😂 & I’m only 25. Can’t wait for this series. After the mafia series it’d be really cool to see you play Red Dead Revolver the OG rdr. Then GUN from 2005, the cast in GUN has A list actors in it for the voices. You should look up the cast. GUN is more like the Redemption games in that it’s open world where as Revolver is linear. No one ever does playthroughs of these classic games for TH-cam so it’d be nice to see you play them Rocky. Also 27:49 that isn’t the don’s actor from Goodfellas but fun fact, the Don from goodfellas who you thought this was, his son voiced the original Tommy Angelo in the original game of Mafia. Really cool how he played a Don then his son played the mafia protagonist in the original game from 2002. Anyway have a great day:)
The Driving in this game can be turned to simulation mode if you like in the options for the most realistic ride, I prefer that but its very tricky so each to their own !

This franchise is how I got started with gaming (specifically 2, but all the games are great) so I'm overjoyed to finally see you play it
You could call this a re-imagining, but it's more of a faithful remake. There are some deviations here and there but not by much. That intro for instance is a beautiful homage to the original zoomy-zoom intro of the original :). This game does indeed take place in a fictionalized version of Chicago in the 1930s, gorgeous rendition.
Yeah the car physics might take a bit to get used to xD. They went with the realistic approach to how cars handled back then. You shoulda seen the original game's handling...
The cops also behave more in-depth than you might be used to in GTA games. If you speed or run a red light you might get pulled over xD.
The casting is so good too. Glenn Taranto in particular stands out to me. His portrayal of Don Salieri is so good.
This game obviously didn't have as big of a budget as Red Dead (i don't think the comparison is fair... at all actually), but Hangar 13 as a relatively small studio still did a fantastic job with the game imo. They're cooking something much bigger in the Unreal Engine for Mafia 4 so I'm hoping the scale gets bumped up a bit.
There's also a bigger emphasis on narrative rather than on gameplay. I don't mind it at all but some people prefer the other way around. I love how real the dialogues feel, you can tell they did a lot of research on the dialects and the slang and what-not that was used back then.
You can drive as fast as you want as long as there aren't any cops nearby.

I definitely think it’d be interesting to see you play the original version after this since there’s like no one else on TH-cam that’s done a blind playthrough of it. So seeing someone else’s insight on the original after playing the remake would be really cool.
I've had a few people say that... and I just think you all just want to see me in pain, playing the classic difficulty in the original game. xD
