You are a great teacher Julia! Even though I have been sewing for more than 60 years, I always learn something new with each of your videos - and you’ve got a sense of humour that tickles my funny bone, which is such a bonus.
Aww thank you 😃
I use this foot for my woven necklines and understitching it’s a perfect little foot. Thank you for this video. Finally understand blind hems.
Me too! Top stitching and understitching it's fab!😊
Sorry I loved the shell stitch too. Liked the way you use it for edging a quilt. Thankyou..
This is so useful - have learned such a lot watching all your JSC tutorials - good to meet you too at Birmingham NEC too - Thank you!
Really helpful tips 're the G foot. Thanks.
Thank you so much for the tutorial Julia. Really helpful to see the folding process as well as learning about the structure of the two different types of feet. Camera angles are really clear and the insert photos are also so helpful. Must admit I have only recently experimented with using the G foot and top-stitching but am now using this more and more on different projects. Could you also show which needle sizes/ types and thread weights you use to get the results you do . Really looking forward to the next tutorial and learning about the twin needle options.
Thanks for your very helpfull Video. I have learned very much. You explained very clearly. Have a nice weekend and till next time ❤❤
Thankyou another brilliant video.I wonder if the shell tucks would work as quilting , maybe just a small quilt.
Great video. I’m also an experienced sewist and am learning so much. So happy to view your excellent videos. Great content!!
Thank you😊
Thank you Julia🧵🪡
Might be tricky as you're working on the bias but could shelltuck the block first and then quilt in next to it with the zipper foot which would make it stand up ....off to experiment 😅
Evening all!
I need help deciding what machine to buy for a beginner who wants to learn to make clothes, curtains and hopefully do free hand embroidery too. I heard Janome is the most reliable. I just don’t know what model to get. I’ve searched and compared but it’s baffling! I thought John Lewis would be a good option but do they call the machines different names?!?!
I can’t spend more than £400 can anyone advise please? 🙏 Thank you 🙏
I’ve watched this 5 times and still can’t flip the fabric properly.
Try pinning the hem low down turn the whole thing over so the right side is facing up and then fold back until you can see the top of the hem and repin.Hope that makes sense. xx
