Hi I have a Janome 9400 and will be doing machine applique of a paper airplane in three different colors. I was wondering if I could use monofilament thread in both bobbin and top thread? Also what tension should I set it on and what kind of needle would you use? Really nervous bout getting started.

Would it be helpful to have some sort of stabilizer on the felt or does it work okay without it?

I didn't see where you stated what ruler you use. Does it have to be a special brand or certain height or are they all the same as long as it's clear?

Please can you do a video on 1200d combination machine, showing threading in close up and going slowly through the lower thread paths. I find existing videos are grainy and go too quick and to far away to follow easily.

Thank you for this, love your calm voice and the video is so natural, not like some videos I have seen. I've done Ruler work on the 9400 but no ASR of course. I did a king size quilt using the straight and curved rulers, not mastered the other shaped ones yet

Hi Julia, I couldn’t see the ref numbers for the clear view quilting foot and guide set, mine would ideally be for 9mm. Great technique there for perfect flying geese, thank you
