It's confusing how does newly formed strand has overhangs, overhangs must be present on parent strand or template strand as, the telomerase adds extra nucleotides to it.

You should do a prior home work and find the labs that you are interested in. And try to mail them to know if there is any vacancy there. Then start preparation. If you want you can.👍 bestwishes.
