The frying pan doubles as a lid for the saucepan - if you had used it thus, your boiling times would have been much faster. With regards to the optional kettle - it boils water even faster than the saucepan with lid - and if your goal is boiling water, then the kettle is a big bonus, whether you're drinking tea, coffee or neither but want to add water to your freeze-dried backpacker meal.
On the flip-side, the two pans with the saucepan and supplemented with a pan lid (can be bought or even fashioned out of a foil pie tray) and a "pot cosy", and you can cook a substantial and proper "gourmet" meal with the 27 - part boil your rice/pasta/potatoes in a pan, add lid and put in the cosy whilst you fry your veg and meat and prepare a sauce.

    Hello,
I have no connection to the company Trangia and can therefore freely comment on posts that interest me.
You have made a really good introductory film for T27-23, but also addressed more general questions about Trangia stoves and fuels/burners.
You show and discuss certain advantages and disadvantages of different material choices, burner types and so on.
Good that you bring up the importance of pointing the lower windshield's vents towards the wind. It gives the best combustion and the hot exhaust gases and heat rise upwards and new air comes in from below and the burner works (chimney effect).
Very good that you also brought up the importance of not having flammable alcohol near an open flame.
It is also important that the alcohol burner is cold when you screw on the lid, otherwise the air in the burner will cool and the air pressure inside the burner will drop and the lid will be very difficult to open.
I would love to use your video as an introductory video in three Trangia groups on Facebook - Trangia stoves, Trangia lovers and Trangia Stove Users.
Trangia has been incredibly successful for the past five years so there is probably some need for introductory videos.
Trangia is a small company that has had problems producing enough goods in relation to demand.
    Greetings from Sweden :)

Yup, just unboxed my 27 stove set - it's sharp, damn... i'm gonna give it a file treatment, before an accident happens. The aluminum parts are sharp, but also the extra multi function plastic disk (the one you can get as a cutting board/rinse lid) has sharp edges 😬
The burner is definitely substantially better quality than knockoffs i owned before.

Also many people are concerned about cooking in aluminum pans due to the connection with Alzheimer's disease. The stainless lined pots seam safer

Congrats for your new toy :D I enjoyed very much your presentation and your style is original.
Remember tu rub the claws of the handle carefully with a sandpaper to reduce those sharp edges of aluminium as a result of the manufacturing process and avoid scratching the margins of the pots and especially the non stick frying pan.
About the fuel bottle, keep in mind that if you don't use it for a certain period of time, pressure will be produced inside the bottle and the moment you press the cap to pour meth into the burner, fuel might spill out through the hole that is upwards. Press the cap once while holding the bottle straight to let the pressure out before pouring.
    Greetings from Romania!

    Nice look at the set!
I just ordered the 27 Duossal from a shop in Canada, I’m in California. The Duossal seems to hard to find, to the point that I had wondered if Trangia had stopped making them.
I don’t cook with untreated aluminum so the SS appealed to me. I recently picked up the 25 in hard anodized aluminum but my plan is to use the 27 Duossal for most of my camping off the motorcycle.
    Have fun adventuring!

I actually edited out my little diatribe about cooking with aluminum. I had also heard that the duossal was hard to find or potentially discontinued, so when I saw it as an option on the 27 I immediately bought it.

@@zorrosharkland7170 👍 I understand why you left it out. I’ve met… resistance… when I mention the possible health issues of cooking with raw aluminum, besides how it changes the flavor and color of food cooked with it.
I did find out that Optics Planet here in the US is carrying the Duossal Trangia sets. I’m tempted to get the 25 to go with my 27 and sell the Hard Anodized 25 that I bought earlier. I’m not so worried about HA as untreated Aluminum but I might just replace it.
      Have a great day!

I like my set but I wish they could roll the edges of the pots. Like on the other sets I think the metal might separate or spit . I don't really like the sharp edges so I put mine on a buffing wheel to smooth them out

5 minutes to boil a pint...! That's a long time.. but if you put a lid on it would boil quicker..
