Brilliant choice of sink and I’m really impressed with your woodworking skills . Just an idea I saw on Mel’s van channel was using the same sink ( think it was🤔) and fitting the sink under the worktop so your cut out worktop over your sink sits flush with your worktop
Thanks Steve. Yer we thought about under mounting it but we decided to over mount it so it more hard wearing and the oak isn’t exposed to loads of splashing etc.
Fair play and hope you didn’t think I was sticking my nose in it’s just I have noticed on your videos how meticulous you are and just wanted to make you aware another option just in case you hadn’t considered it. Keep up the amazing work with the van and good luck with your adventures. I’m not sure if I’m more jealous of your van or your workshop 😆
@@steverigby9713 no no not at all pal. I love to hear what everyone else has done and other ways to approach task. I hope my comment didn’t come across short. I’m always rushing. 😂😂 all good pal. 👍👍
Hi hi. I will have a look I actually went into the store to make sure it fit so I just bought it over the counter as we ordered the wrong one online. But I will have a look for you.
Hi Been following your build and have to say you are doing a great job 👏 What hob did you go with and do you have a link for the bolts that you secure the wood to sides of van into rivnuts . They have a slim round head and look like allen key fitting Thanks
We thought it was a great solution as all the campervan sinks were super small and shallow and we could not imagine using them day to day. Thank you. RC fabrics. 👍👍
With the woodenboard you made and the hand cut out you might have wanted to have that cut out directly underneath the end of the tap as it will drip water as you drive along. This way it would drop into the sink rather than all over your work surfaces. Just an idea
Great idea. Little secret. When I was routing it out I chipped a bit of hence the position of the cut out. But I think a drip hole is a good shout. I think will add one. Thanks 👍
Just trying to help fellow builders pal. Using a domestic sink in the van isn’t always common some people may just look for a camper van specific one which are always to small.

@@steverigby9713 thanks mate. Appreciate the support. Not the workshop. You can’t move in there for sawdust and crap 😂
Hi mate!
Struggling to find the black sink trap you have used .
Could you pop a link on here for it ?
Tried looking on tool station

Hi

Thanks
Thanks Gary. 🤜🤛. It’s a sterling hob they do two types. There is a link for the rivnuts on my ikea bed hack video in the description.
Oh have a google for counter sunk stainless steel bolts. 👍 try accu or amazon.
Hi Matt. Im liking the look of this a lot. Can you stick a link yo the tap in the description? Or have i missed it somewhere?
Her sure thing it’s was from tool station. I just need to check with Ginny which one it was.
@abucklife that helps. Think I've got it. Did you have to worry about minimum water pressure or just went for it? And I assume all good and working?
Just went for it. Haven’t tested it yet. Hope to get the water running this week.
Nice hack! Where did you get your white leather stuff? Looks great!
We thought it was a great solution as all the campervan sinks were super small and shallow and we could not imagine using them day to day. Thank you. RC fabrics. 👍👍
Great video, wouldn’t you have put the kitchen wall on before the tap ? 👍👍
Thank you. Yeo not a bad shout. I have got some overhead storage lockers to fit so for now I let them off as not sure what that will look like.

@ I had the same problem, caring is sharing 🤣
🤜🤛
Where did you get the tap from Matt?
Tool station pal. Not sure which one Ginny picked it but I can find out for you.
Found it thanks 👍
Awesome 👍👍
I was going to use the ikea sink but went for one with a lip so the surface inset could be flush
Sounds like a good alternative. We wanted an over mount sink for durability. 👍
How is using sink as a sink a hack? :D
