That's great Anita! My grandparents traveled all over once my grandpa retired. My husband and I bought our first rv about 5 yes into our marriage. A Tioga c class. The next year we traded it in for our Southwind A class. We wanted to travel with our kids instead of waiting til we were older in life. We've had the best adventures. Still have it & will be on the road once my husband retires in next few years. Safe travels

Just absolutely love her space. It looks so comfortable and cozy. She sounds like she has a good head on her shoulders and loves her life. It doesn’t get much better than that.
Leave one side down as a bed and get a lagoon table for dining side. It can swing over couch and be a bedside table at night

Just watched this episode.
Been coming to America from England every year since 2015 to travel. Mostly 3 weeks, 4-6k miles and in car or truck, staying at friends. I base myself in Wright City, Missouri.
However this year I have decided to look at buying something of my own, not using my friends vehicles.
This Class B, and specifically your layout is probably the best way to travel with a buddy.
I record and upload our travels on my TH-cam channel as well. A different perspective of America.

I like the touches you added. We had a Roadtrek that was similar. In the lowered floor area it had a drain to the gray water tank and a shower curtain that allowed the aisle to be the shower. We used it. Some people never do. Some people find community with others and camp together for a while. Enjoy your travels.

I make great cornbread & cookies in my iron skillet on the stove. Just put a good lid on & boom - instant oven!! Love your van, it’s perfect ❤❤

You can get a solar oven they're collapsible so you can store it.

The collapsible oven works. There is a learning curve and the first couple of things will burn until you know how much flame works. Totally worth it. Especially for cookies.....

Nice affordable van option. Also, maybe try the kind of portable shower where you pull up and instantly have a space to shower using the sink with a hose faucet. Can't see having to drive far to take a shower. Especially, long term.

If you like baked corn bread, you should try skillet corn bread, just as good. I use a small cast iron skillet pan. Perfect for one or two! 😋

I wouldn't pull the whole bed out. I'd probably just do the one side. I've been solo traveling on and off for 40+ yrs. The past 6 yrs I've lived in three different countries and am planning the next one.
Idea: buy an iron fry pan and iron lid, You can bake with it on your stovetop. God bless!!

Change the table top to have a hinge in the centre, this will make the table half the size and then you can make the bed with the seat back on one side
I’m 64 how I wished could do the same thing, I’ve always wanted to live on my own, lead my own life and to be away on travels all the time. I’ve been watching blogs featuring something like this.I hope it’s not too late for me. Ihave a 2004 CRV and thinking of converting it to something like a camp van.

You should look into getting an air fryer and a small solar supplement or battery. I love mine (I’m 79). Get a thermometer for meat and you are set. A half hour nutritious meal ❣️
Air fryer is way too big but I do have a small extra secondary battery in addition to the one that runs all my stuff

I love your van, love it!😍 If I had the chance I’d buy one just like it but would tweak it out a little differently. I’d definitely have to have solar power a Bluetti and as much energy I could afford! So I could have heat and internet connection it’s a must have for me lol 😂 Then I’d stay with my mom longer so I could buy Starlink. Then I’d be a “happy camper”!! I have a propane heater for when the van itself is off and I have a secondary battery running my lights and electricity that’s charged by my vans main battery. I don’t think I mentioned it, but I could use more power for when I’m more stationary so yes to solar being a great idea!

If you get one with low miles and right in the middle of parts being cheap but not aged out of making them anymore, it’s the best of both worlds.

Dismantle the table and fold down the couches to sleep. No shower? Going to the laundromat (?) to wash clothes? Go to fill up the water and then continually get propane bottles? So where DO you shower? At your mom's house? The gym? So many things left unsaid... I would sooner have a big, comfy studio apartment and a Smart Car parked out front...but, to each their own!
She mentions that she uses Planet Fitness' (a gym) showers around 7:25.
I leave it as a bed most of the time so it’s really not difficult. I have a huge water tank that I only need to fill once every 2-3 weeks. And I don’t go get tiny propane bottles. I have a large built in propane tank that I fill once a month. And I shower at planet fitness which most van lifers do. They’re all over the country. Too each their own like you said but there are chores about a home or an apartment that I don’t have and don’t want to have. I have the ability to wake up looking at the ocean, the mountain, in the middle of a national park, without the cost of a campsite or hotel and little to no work to set up once I park. Yea I’ll take filling up a few things once or twice a month for the perk of mobility. Couldn’t convince me a stationary apartment life would ever be better.
@@adventures.with.alyssaWhat are you using for power besides propane for your stove like how do you stay warm? Do you have a generator battery and solar panels you can set out for power? They’re starting to really sell a lot of those items at Walmart, Amazon etc. Or like right now Patriot is selling everything you need for less than two to three on like a flex plan so you’d have it paid off in three months. Yes, it’s a chunk of money I know but you could get an online job working from your van with it and that would be huge for you! It’s exactly what I’d do friend😇😊🌈
Check out an Omnia Oven - it works on the stove top or a propane grill. You can make cornbread and cinnamon rolls. I have made cake that comes out great! You can make all kinds of foods in it and I love mine. I even use mine in my house to make something rather than heat up my oven, especially in the summer.

Why not simply convert the side opposite the side with the counter into a bed, and leave the counter side as a sofa? The isle is narrower that way, but still leaves room 4 your feet.

Couldn’t you just open one side of the bed and use it as a bed while keeping the other side as a couch? It may require using a different table with Lagune mount and you may need to rig the bed up somehow but , for little money it could give the best of both worlds.
I did do that for a little bit and the bed started to sag at a slant so I’d need to support the end hanging out somehow so I haven’t really figured that option out yet
