As a mustang fan, I gotta say good job to the team at FCA. It doesn't matter what "side" you're on, the mustang, challenger, and Camaro are all incredible right now. Anyone who denies that is a fool.
I'm a little sad we never got a more handling focused challenger with extreme areo and track focused suspension. But I can see why they decided not to go that direction.

I love Dodge and Mopar. I love the Challenger, and I have no words for how awesome this car is.
Come out to the event Dodge says. Travel to Vegas Dodge says. Well I did and sat through the cold to witness a perfect ending to one of the most iconic cars made. Then I wake up the next morning and start making phone calls to get my hands on one. I contact every Dealership in the Southeastern US to find out that they are charging 100k over MSRP or double your build price. Who did you build this for? Obviously not the average Mopar guy. I can swing the 103K for the one I spec'd out but, not the 203 or 206K the dealerships want. Dodge you screwed this Last call thing Royally for the Dodge/Mopar base. All you did was make a bunch of cars that flippers will buy and pass down to other flippers leaving us folks with nothing. Thanks Tim you could have fixed this!!!!!!!!! You knew it was coming!!!!!!
Talk with a dealer owner, not some sleazebag salesman or sales manager, especially if you are a fellow local business owner
Did you really believe there would be no mark ups on the Last Call Challenger?!!! Have you been to the dealerships lately? They're all marking up or charging crazy premiums on less cheaper cars. Even still there are plenty of people out there who will pay the mark ups without question. That's been a thing. Sometimes you gotta get ya money up and grab one at a classic car auction, it will be more than $206 thousand by then though so there's that. Happy hunting man!
@@mike_johnson87 yes….TRX MSRP, Challenger MSRP, Volvo, MSRP. It’s a thing if you look around. With this particular car,which is the one I’m talking about, it’s 100k over or bust. Oh and I have a 23 Challenger HC RE WB LAST CALL on order at MSRP but thanks for your comment.

@@rearspeaker6364they kind of do tho. In order to comply with regulations, car manufacturers have to stay below a certain emissions target as a fleet. If they don’t, they get taxed. Dodge only has 3 vehicles in their fleet: Charger, Challenger and Durango, all 3 of which are heavy polluters. Therefore, Dodge is most definitely going to get spanked by the EPA, which is why they have to transition to mostly hybrids and EVs. It’s also the reason why Ford can continue production of the Mustang, V8 and all. Ford has a much larger lineup that consists of highly efficient hybrid vehicles that offset the emissions deficit that the Mustang generates. Therefore, selling the Mustang is a possibility for them because they have the net emissions score to do that. And as I stated earlier, Dodge doesn’t have that. Sorry; it’s the truth

@@rearspeaker6364 glad I could shed light on the situation. As it pertains to Dodge, I’m grateful that they’re trying to make an EV cool. Hyundai tried the same thing with the Ioniq 5 N, which looks to be employing a lot of the same concepts and technologies that the Charger will, and look at the acclaim that the Ioniq 5 N got. I feel like once everyone actually gets their hands on the Charger EV, they’ll come to enjoy it and realize it isn’t as bad as they initially thought it was. Only real problem at this point is that it’s going to be expensive up the ass

I fall in love with the new Demon and all new performances but I only have a question for Dodge why wasn't showing the runs time and time Slips? By my calculations the car was doing @ 9.3, I think with 1025hp at the crank It is not enough for made 8.9 due to Demon weight
not a pure E85 mix, added safety appliances, the wind could be a factor too.
@rear speaker Why showing it without E-85 ? It doesn't have sense and roll cage and parachute aren't to much heavy and the car probably was running with only 1 seat at front and rear seat delete, for that reason is important for the customers see the times and compare how close to the numbers really it is

At first I thought so too, but as I thought about it, demon was just a much more fitting name. This new demon fits the spirit of the old one, and quite frankly the Goblin as a creature is less powerful than a Demon, so it makes more sense. If they really wanted to give it a different name, they should have called it the Devil, but Demon is still a great name

I love the Challenger, I always did. But when I had the choice I went with a 2010 Viper - never regretted it. To me both are true and iconic Dodge halo cars - I just can't understand why MOPAR can't get their stuff together and are NOT able to offer even basic Viper spare parts that were used through decades. I just hope that they won't let their new customers down like that again :-(

I’ve always thought Dodge nailed it from the beginning with the Challenger (plum crazy, black vinyl top, hemi and 4 speed) to this latest rendition. Gotta say I’m tired of the “demon” label association with this car, but the step Dodge took with the early Hellcats certainly revolutionized the muscle car-by- manufacturer wars. I was surprised/disappointed they didn’t show the time/speed for the run at the strip, but understand that the performance numbers being touted in all the hype leading up to the run didn’t come from a one-and-done pass. Does anyone know what the numbers were on this pass?

Just got an answer from the dealer in Phoenix AZ who has been allotted 10 170s, quote their response “20k deposit and market adjustment of 150k over sticker”.

I mean, the soul is still there in the Dodge EV. It’s a bit different. It will never be the same, but the car should still feel like a Dodge. And sound like one too. Those are both ways of injecting soul back into the EV as a vehicle type, no matter how u look at it

Your dealers are hoarding these cars, finding cleaver ways to buy them for themselves and or putting markups on these $150,000 over msrp.
I’m a proud hellcat owner and tried to get my name on the list this morning for the new 170. Used the locator tool and I was told I was first in line to get my local dealers 1 allocated D170. 3 hours pass and I call the dealer again to ask about lead times and I was then told “oops, we aren’t getting a D170”. Called the dealer back under a different name a few hours later only to find out the one they “had” was sold to a higher bidder.
Pretty disgusted with this. I’m a normal guy, I have 0% chance of landing one of these with your selfish dealers and their insane markups 😡
