I love how the driver did a burnout before people could contemplate this beast sending them into another loop of chaos and excitement. Proper Dodge thing to do.
You always have the people that get one here and say "well, let's see it corner", lol, this car was built to be bad ass where 90% of the bragging rights are and that is at the stop light, not driving around cones! You have to give it to Dodge, they built a car that can beat not just super cars, but even the Hyper Cars in the 1/4 mile. Dodge builds a pretty good car to take the corner tho, that Viper ACR is pretty damn good at it.

It is meant to be used in the context of a phrase which is generally used figuratively "leave our mark", but he means it literally, because actual skid marks will be left!
Badass car by the way, still looks better than the Mustang and Camaro, even with their redesigns. The Dodge looks cleaner, less cluttered. And Dodge smartly just added power, they knew it's not a corner carver. It's truly the last living muscle car.

I agree totally on the design. I hated the Camaro styling and the interior. The 2017 looks a lot sharper and aggressive but stupid use of space(lack of space) and mustangs are nice to look at but not my cup of tea. Always liked the Challenger and it just gets sexier with each pencil stroke.
+diamondheat9 I just like the clean, uncluttered styling. The Mustang, and especially the Camaro styling is just so busy. So many lines and creases everywhere.

This is great marketing, and even with great loss pr unit (Limited) sold and warrany issues the value involved is huge. They really got Dodge back on first row in terms of pure raw, and engineered muscles. You just have give your attention and respect to this massive "Demon" and marketing event. Thumbs up:)

I love this car and love these numbers. I have a deep respect for American muscle but the question needs to be asked. How many launches before I need to replace my axle.. Do I just do that regularly with my oil changes?
Chad Karmann that's true. I'm pretty sure the warranty will have some bs about it being void if you launch it or whatever. I had an 11 gt500 and the owner told me that the warranty was useless when the transmission needed rebuilding.
Frank Smith It has a 60,000 mile warranty. They are counting on old, fat, rich guys to buy it and park it as a "investment". It only takes one broke, TRUE hot rodder to hit it big and test that warranty out......... I would beat that car like a rented mule and love every minute of it!
When is the Charger Demon coming
Hunter Phillimore it’s still unknown but there have been spy shots that have been released a few months ago of a charger driving around with big wide as tires and said SRT on it. And knowing Dodge I bet they would. When the first hellcat was announced it was only a Challenger, sales went crazy and people demanded more, so hey decided to make more and introduce the hellcat Charger. So if sales on the demon or in this case a bunch of pre orders and they run out of demons then probably by next year they’ll announce the demon charger. Plus they just made this brand new engine with crazy new tech, they wouldn’t just use it on a Challenger once and never use it again, they’ll probably keep playing with it and most likely put it in the charger since charger sales have exploded since the hellcat charger.

Great sales strategy and how can anyone not love this car. Classic design based on the original Challenger with upgraded suspension work and huge HP. Lots of fun but its my feeling that true performance isn't reflected by measuring 1/4 times but that's exactly how Dodge is marketing the Demon and Hellcat. Dodge is marketing 1/4 mile hype becausethey're diverting our attention away from a fundamental problem that limits their comparable performance vs. other American performance cars. Consider that the fastest stock Dodge Hellcat Challenger at the Texas Mile is only 177 mph and the fastest "maxed out twin turbo" Dodge Challenger at the Texas Mile is only 212 mph. While in comparison, the fastest stock Ford Shelby GT500 at the Texas Mile is 197 mph and the fastest twin turbo Shelby GT500 went 247 mph. Even the fastest 1800 hp twin turbo Dodge Viper at the Texas only ran 241 mph while the fastest twin turbo Shelby GT500 ran 247 mph with an engine that's a full 3 liters smaller. Before Dodge can truly raise the bar of performance, they need to get back to the drawing board and work out their aerodynamic design issues. Sorry, ..just keeping it real.

now bugatti produces the 1500hp Chiron exceeding 260mph; true top-speed is unknown really, since it's primarily limited by tire - and that no adequate stretch of road even exists that is long enough to show how fast it can actually go.
