Came here to say I have a 2013 grand caravan 3.6. Same trouble codes. Found 5v ref wire on oil pressure switch damaged just like this wrangler. Replacing the pigtail repaired all my TPS, APP, crank pos. Sensor, oil pressure trouble codes.
Great Video Mike. You saved me! I replaced both head gaskets, replaced the timing set, water pump and water hoses on a 2014 Wrangler Rubicon. Went to start it up and my dash was lit like a Christmas tree. Thoughts of what I did wrong flooded my mind. I have wrecked this engine! P0520,P0335,P2111,P0642,P2127,P2122. All these are related to the circuit that you mentioned. Connections at the throttle body and crank sensor looked good. Took everything off the top of the motor to get to the oil cooler and BAM! The connection at the oil pressure sensor were corroded just like you showed. Replaced it with a new pig tail connector from Autozone and it started up smooth as silk. I would have still been looking for the problem if it were not for your Video. Thanks again for taking time to film it.
I believe i removed the pins from the connector and put some shrink wrap tubing over each pin where the wire was exposed and then inserted them back into the connector. I also opened up the metal wire loom to help it not be so tight around the wires.
Nice! We have the same issue going on. Been to 3 different mechanics and they all have no clue. I’m wondering if it’s a wire being shorted under the insulation some where. Like where you said it was to right.
@@southernboy8245 yea this customer and my dad tried replacing some parts but it didn't fix the issue. If you have the same codes chances are there is a short like this one. You might be able to get a mirror in the back in-between the firewall and the back of the engine to see if you can use a flashlight to see under the intake towards that sensor. It sucks that the Intake has to come off to get to it but at least it's not too bad to remove.
At this point I’m not sure what all the jeep mechanics have actually done. If they are just reading what the codes are sayin and just replacing but then are stumped when it doesn’t fix it. I will let ya know what I find out if anything. Lol. When I talk to them I will pass your experience on to them. Just sucks bc it could be a high number of things causing it.
@@southernboy8245 yea it's always a bummer when you replace a part and it doesn't fix the problem lol and yea let me know what ends up being the fix for your jeep. Hopefully they find the issue soon. Good luck!!
Great work tracking down this failure mode. Our 2015 had these same symptoms and I found the same issue on the oil sensor harness.

You're welcome! Glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much very helpful video appreciate it
How specifically did you repair the wire? I have the same issue and was able to get to the sensor and it has an exposed wire.

We’re you getting an oil pressure sensor fault cold
No fault code for the oil pressure sensor that i recall.
Thanks I do believe that is my problem
✌🏼
Did that ever fix it?
Yes it fixed the problem
