    I got my tinnitus in 2022 oct and i had spike for 10 days they its more like i only hear them in very quiet place and in 2023 nov had one lasted like 15 days and went back to baseline. Now i am having one lasting for almost a month now. I am worried will it return back to baseline???. How long these spikes can last. And i also want to mention that my spike was not like constant high it’s fluctuating in a single day and for month now. Sometimes medium sometimes i only hear when i notice and sometimes loud. Will this end and get back to stable??

    Hi Julian, I recently got tinnitus and am still figuring out what to do by watching your videos. I am a musician and love making music. Would you recommend stopping music while this heals? I am trying sound therapy and mental reset right now and for the next few months. Your response would mean a lot to me. Thanks,

    • @JulianCowanHill
      @JulianCowanHill  4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I don't recommend stopping music. Music is one of the best maskers on the planet and if you love making it, it is good for focusing your hearing. BUT you need to stay within your comfort zone as far as loudness is concerned. Please get good musician's earplugs that are tailor made for you. I have worked with many musician's over the years and suggest you contact me for an online session on info@juliancowanhill.co.uk and we can talk this through in detail. In the meantime please download my app www.quietenapp.com and work your way through the First Things First section. Look forward to working with you, best wishes Julian

    Hi Julian. I have sudden hearing loss in one ear because of Mcas, due to a lot of stress I got tinnitus a few weeks later. I'm getting a hearing aid in a couple of weeks, do you think it will help take the tinnitus away?

      If it helps your hearing settle and you feel more comfortable then yes.

    Hi Julian, firstly, thank you for all of the resources on your channel.
    I’m a 32 year old male, since Friday, I’ve had (what I believe) an onset of tinnitus in my right ear. Initially I panicked very badly but went away for the bank holiday and spent time with friends during the day and I didn’t notice it at all. Only back in the evening but it was slightly lower.
    Can I ask you if you’ve worked with clients where tinnitus comes in bouts? Can it come and go?
    As you say, I’ve stopped looking online as everybody almost says this is for life and that does petrify me.

    • @JulianCowanHill
      @JulianCowanHill  หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      It is not for life. In the settling phase tinnitus goes up and down commonly but overall it goes down if you follow the advice on my app www.quietenapp.com
      Then in the abatement phase it goes quiet. Watch the video on the two stages of getting better on my app in the First Things First Section and you will see that this is common. Hope this helps. Best wishes, Julian

      @@JulianCowanHill thanks, Julian. Really appreciate you taking the time to reply.
      I’m also looking at my workout routine. For the past 2 x months, I’ve focused a lot on high intensity cardio for multiple days, followed by a desk job. I’m looking to incorporate more yoga and Pilates into my routine.
      I’m conscious I don’t want to change my life though and continue as per normal.

    Hola Liam. Tengo tinnitus severo hace más de un año. Amo la música y ensayar en salas. Mi consulta es ¿podré volver a hacer lo que amo? Tengo miedo de que empeore o no se vaya nunca

    • @Victor-vs3nw

      Hola Francisco! Ya no podrás hacer música nunca mas! Jajajaja ntc, cómo crees!! muchísimos músicos, productores e ingenieros de audio tienen tinnitus. No dejes que el miedo se meta a tus pensamientos, puedes mejorar.
      Yo se que puede ser muy molesto pero recuerda que hay muchas formas de reducir el tinnitus. Sabemos que la intensidad puede dispararse por el sistema nervioso.
      1. Meditación, yoga, taichi ayudan muchísimo.
      2. Evitar el estrés. Reducir cafeína y nicotina.
      3. Hacer algún tipo de terapia que recomienda Liam por ejemplo.
      Recuerda usar protección auditiva en lugares con sonido fuerte y evitar el uso de airpods a volúmenes fuertes.
      Estarás bien amigo! Mucha suerte

      Hola soy Julian. Si puedes mejorar. Ayuda muchos músicos salir del estado de luchar o huir y recomiendo que empiezas con terapias como la terapia Craneosacral u otras terapías corporales y que practicas yoga o Tai Chi.
      Si entiendes inglés puedes descargar mi aplicación www.quietenapp.com yo recomiendo que veas todos los vídeos en la sección llamada "First Things First." Cuanto más te enfoques en bienestar cuanto más va a bajar los acúfenos. Es un síntoma muy conectado con el nivel de estrés y por eso lo llamo un sonómetro. He trabajado con muchos músicos y ya han vuelto a la vida de la música. Por favor lee mi libro en español y te puede ayudar a sanar: www.amazon.co.uk/Tinnitus-Tirano-Amigo-liberarse-ruido/dp/B0B6L76Q2T/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?crid=7S7YCRTKUPPH&keywords=julian+cowan+hill+amigo&qid=1706787990&sprefix=%2Caps%2C64&sr=8-1-fkmr0

    But people around/close to you might also hear the sound of the device ?

    • @TinniSoothe-Tinnitus-Relief
      @TinniSoothe-Tinnitus-Relief หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi - that's a common question we get. It’s unlikely anyone else will notice. Firstly, they can’t see the device which reduces awareness. Secondly, the subtle sound is channelled towards the user’s ears. And finally, most users only need low to moderate volume, which isn’t noticeable to others. In trials, most users found that friends, family and colleagues didn’t hear the device at all, unless they pointed it out. And if they did, it didn’t bother them.

    Airpods can do the same thing and I already own them. Six years ago, when I got tinnitus, I used airpods all the time to mask the sound. If I had to be in a meeting, I left one in my ear.

      Hi, This is one of our commonly asked questions and we refer to it in our FAQ's:
      TinniSoothe has been designed to fit with your busy life and to provide a continuous source of white noise. It’s always there when you need it, day and night at a consistent distance from your ears to facilitate habituation. There’s no messing around switching phone apps on and off, or putting earphones in and out throughout the day. This all just reminds you of your tinnitus. TinniSoothe is your constant companion for tinnitus relief. You put it on in the morning and dock it at night. That’s it.

      Hi, just to clarify that this strapline was a decision by us at TinniSoothe. Julian actually gave the same feedback when I spoke to him (I'm Howard, the founder). We really wanted to be a company that didn't make false promises to people in a space where there are a lot of scams. But we have happily taken the feedback and we'll see if there is an alternative to use 🙂.
      All the best,
      Howard
