This is why Big Boss is the legendary soldier: 1) He keep his cool for all the attack, he only get really angered when one of his man died in his arms 2) He killed enemy soldiers in that situation 3) He took down an helicopter with only a M4. 4) He didn't die in that situation.

Fun fact: probably all Peace Walker players came across a volunteer soldier, whose name was Mosquito. I think he might even be scripted to appear at the Mother Base sooner or later. In fact he is quite weak and most players would kick him out. However the same exact soldier reappears in the Phantom Pain as an enemy of Big Boss (Venom). It is later explained that Mosquito survived in the Mother Base accident but he thought that Boss had betrayed them and left them all to die. Growing paranoid and lusting for revenge Mosquito tried to take over Diamond Dogs, but failed only to be recruited again (which is canon I guess) or killed (depending on the player's decision). It's absolutely amazing how Kojima connected all those small details into a single multifaceted storyline, where all characters are related to each other.

@@HamHamPangPang4life Mosquito's Private Force (Mosquito Stinger Force, abbreviated as MSF just like Militaries Sans Frontieres) wasn't made up of any former MSF soldiers. The only ones who survived the fall of mother base and MSF were the wandering soldiers that Venom finds in the battlefields.
Also, Mosquito is in this cutscene and he has his name written on the back of his combat vest He's actually the soldier that sat next to Chico in Morpho's Helicopter before it crashed.
I reckon it’s kinda cool that Kojima put in the effort to make sure that we can see the moment that even the pilots in the enemy chopper recoiled when they realised Snake’s chopper was about to collide with theirs.
best thing about kojima is making sure the player also feels bad for the enemy soldiers, I don't think I remember killing a single soldier yet in the whole MGS series without it being intentional
Honestly, probably my favorite scene with Big Boss. His compassion for his men. How he lays out several enemies, including a helicopter. He's legendary for a reason.
This is one of the best and saddest cutscenes of mgs. I love the part in which one of the soldiers dies in snake's hands and snake becomes angry.It's like action movies:D And also it's and emotional cutscene. Don't lose this cutscene if you haven't watched it.

All that time to build that base in Peace Walker, all of the captured Customized APC’s, Tanks, and Helicopters taken from Peace Sentinel. All the Equipment and Weapons that the R & D Team Built. And worst of it all Metal Gear ZEKE buried under the Wreckage and sank to the bottom of the Ocean. All of MSF is gone! Those Maniacs took it all away from us
I love so much this part! The cinematography is stunning here! Everything was taken in one shot. And I screamed along with BB when my fully upgraded Base with all those S soldiers was going down. So much effort put into this!

It feels weird coming back to comment on this video all the time, but I just realized: when they conditioned Venom to think he WAS Big Boss, the cutscene where Venom is hallucinating and thinking he failed to save Paz as she jumped out of the helicopter, WAS REALLY Big Boss’ memory. So Venom thinks he was Big Boss, and the existence of himself in Big Boss’ memory was just a factor removed from memory! Weird how a little change in perspective makes for good story telling!
That and also the fact that, him being the medic who operated paz in the first place, put this also as a big moral failure for him too. He was the one supposed to save Paz and remove the bomb from her body, not realizing that there was another one. Which resulted into the death and lost of the flew things they could’ve been saved (big boss, miller, paz, chico and the chopper). So yeah, it is painful twice for venom, having to suffer from both the prospective of an external people and from the one of someone who truly met and knew the ones who lost

I still stand by the following copium : XOF would never have won against my maxed out Mother Base. My intel team can literally tell ranks of soldiers in missions I didn't even started or how many soldiers were concealed in that tiny armored vehicle. My lvl.99 combat unit would have wiped out XOF forces with nothing but the stun road. Their chopper would never down mines (Remember how crazy strong custom vehicles were in PW ?). I literally had railguns to down them. Sahelanthropus is weak compared to my beast-like ZEKE completed AI.

That’s what Kojima could do, even on a rushed game due (storywise and cinematography-wise) such as MGSV:TPP. If Kojima can do this with his 30%, imagine what he can do with his 100%. (Pretty much what you see on the intro of TPP.)
I think this may be the only scene in the entire metal gear series where they did the old phony “hollywood Guns” continuity where Snake fires off a ton of rounds without having to reload. Other than that, such a powerful scene full of meaning and despair.
he might have reloaded of screen also considering that motherbase has an R&D department and that they deal with weapons and technology that isn't mainstream it's possible that the weapon snake was using has a more rounds then normal

shadowlomo I know this is kinda a late reply, but the popular mod "infinite heaven" for phantom pain on the pc allows you to customize what your soldiers look like at mother base. You can make them look like MSF soldiers, XOF, Russian and even the white genome soldiers from the deja vu mission. It also allows more npcs like technicians and scientists to roam around mother base, and ocelot too. You can also put walker gears on mother base and have helicopter patrols flying around. Check it out!
Wait a sec, Big Boss came in on a HIND. That gunship alone could shred the enemy infantry and blow their transport helicopters out of the sky and it just lands with Big Boss firing from inside the cabin. WTF
The real hero here is the medic, the now venom snake, for staying so true to big boss and risking his life, even shielding him from cypher for 9 years.
Peace walker would be the biggest metal gear remake because they can add new side ops like every month or something,new boss battles, maybe they make it open world/semi open ,new boss battles etc.. and I want a game that focuses on aftermath of mother base destruction maybe rebuild msf and its mother base idk

I will never blame Big Boss for anything. He was played too and before coma here you can see how much he cared for his comrades. Its was never his decision to make Venom take his place he was also in coma for 9 years cmon now
Technically not Paz, but she was part of the reason. It was never confirmed if Huey caused the attack on MB. He was exiled from DD for the murder of Dr. Strangelove, they could never prove that he was the mole. Chico however, told Skullface all of MSF's stats, weaknesses, and the layout of Mother Base. He broke under torture that Skullface put him and Paz through. Chico ended up in that position because he tried to save Paz and he was trying to negotiate their freedom by cracking. The UN inspection could have been legit and Skullface could have hijacked it with Chico's intel. Cypher had that kind of power, they had control over the Patriot resources at the time since Skullface took out Zero.
@@anarchyjinflames you were kind of right. Cipher actually had nothing to do with this, if you listen to the tapes of phantom pain. Somehow XOF got to pose as the UN inspection, but in reality the UN stated that "no such inspection took place" as mentioned before the credits start in GZ. Huey was the one who let "the inspection" take place without Snake or Miller's permission, as heard in the tapes of ground zero. They broke Chico about about the base itself, while forcing Paz to give details of Cipher to Skullface. But it's all completely Huey's fault for allowing them. He never seemed to be with Cipher nor XOF, he just seemed to dislike big boss and his private force. Huey even had the mother base guards get rid of their guns in the day of the attack, as said in one of the tapes of TPP.
This reminds of of the beginning of mgs4 when a soldier screams "USE THE RPGS!". Upon seeing Big Boss XOF soldiers apparently decided 2 use RPGS, a helicopter and foot soldiers as a distraction while they detonated explosives to blow up the entire base (so there was nothing left 2 save and so Big Boss didn't have a place 2 STAND on and fight) otherwise Big boss would have ended up defeating them. LOL what a bunch of nubs. They also had 2 distract Big Boss away from the base to begin the attack and even with all that they really only able 2 accomplish their mission of destroying mother base because of Huey betraying mother base. I would love 2 see these clowns take on Outer Heaven with Big Boss in a direct fight. They would get annihilated.
I like how you think warfare is all about being straight up in fighting. It's all about putting as much advantages for your side so that you have an easier time taking on the enemy. If you're looking for a fair fight in war, you're doing it wrong.

It feels weird coming back to comment on this video all the time, but I just realized: when they conditioned Venom to think he WAS Big Boss, the cutscene where Venom is hallucinating and thinking he failed to save Paz as she jumped out of the helicopter, WAS REALLY Big Boss’ memory. So Venom thinks he was Big Boss, and the existence of himself in Big Boss’ memory was just a factor removed from memory! Weird how a little change in perspective makes for good story telling!
That and also the fact that, him being the medic who operated paz in the first place, put this also as a big moral failure for him too.
He was the one supposed to save Paz and remove the bomb from her body, not realizing that there was another one.
Which resulted into the death and lost of the flew things they could’ve been saved (big boss, miller, paz, chico and the chopper).
So yeah, it is painful twice for venom, having to suffer from both the prospective of an external people and from the one of someone who truly met and knew the ones who lost
I can really appreciate the fact that in tpp they use the same msf character models in the side missions were you retrieve the wondering mother base solider ive never thought about that till now
No point in wasting time and resources on new models when you can just reuse one

I still stand by the following copium : XOF would never have won against my maxed out Mother Base. My intel team can literally tell ranks of soldiers in missions I didn't even started or how many soldiers were concealed in that tiny armored vehicle. My lvl.99 combat unit would have wiped out XOF forces with nothing but the stun road. Their chopper would never down mines (Remember how crazy strong custom vehicles were in PW ?). I literally had railguns to down them. Sahelanthropus is weak compared to my beast-like ZEKE completed AI.

I think this may be the only scene in the entire metal gear series where they did the old phony “hollywood Guns” continuity where Snake fires off a ton of rounds without having to reload. Other than that, such a powerful scene full of meaning and despair.

shadowlomo I know this is kinda a late reply, but the popular mod "infinite heaven" for phantom pain on the pc allows you to customize what your soldiers look like at mother base. You can make them look like MSF soldiers, XOF, Russian and even the white genome soldiers from the deja vu mission. It also allows more npcs like technicians and scientists to roam around mother base, and ocelot too. You can also put walker gears on mother base and have helicopter patrols flying around. Check it out!

Peace walker would be the biggest metal gear remake because they can add new side ops like every month or something,new boss battles, maybe they make it open world/semi open ,new boss battles etc.. and I want a game that focuses on aftermath of mother base destruction maybe rebuild msf and its mother base idk

Technically not Paz, but she was part of the reason.
It was never confirmed if Huey caused the attack on MB. He was exiled from DD for the murder of Dr. Strangelove, they could never prove that he was the mole.
Chico however, told Skullface all of MSF's stats, weaknesses, and the layout of Mother Base. He broke under torture that Skullface put him and Paz through. Chico ended up in that position because he tried to save Paz and he was trying to negotiate their freedom by cracking.
The UN inspection could have been legit and Skullface could have hijacked it with Chico's intel. Cypher had that kind of power, they had control over the Patriot resources at the time since Skullface took out Zero.
@@anarchyjinflames you were kind of right. Cipher actually had nothing to do with this, if you listen to the tapes of phantom pain. Somehow XOF got to pose as the UN inspection, but in reality the UN stated that "no such inspection took place" as mentioned before the credits start in GZ.
Huey was the one who let "the inspection" take place without Snake or Miller's permission, as heard in the tapes of ground zero. They broke Chico about about the base itself, while forcing Paz to give details of Cipher to Skullface.
But it's all completely Huey's fault for allowing them. He never seemed to be with Cipher nor XOF, he just seemed to dislike big boss and his private force.
Huey even had the mother base guards get rid of their guns in the day of the attack, as said in one of the tapes of TPP.
This is kind of late but Huey told XOF the base's location whereas Chico told them the layout of motherbase

This reminds of of the beginning of mgs4 when a soldier screams "USE THE RPGS!". Upon seeing Big Boss XOF soldiers apparently decided 2 use RPGS, a helicopter and foot soldiers as a distraction while they detonated explosives to blow up the entire base (so there was nothing left 2 save and so Big Boss didn't have a place 2 STAND on and fight) otherwise Big boss would have ended up defeating them. LOL what a bunch of nubs. They also had 2 distract Big Boss away from the base to begin the attack and even with all that they really only able 2 accomplish their mission of destroying mother base because of Huey betraying mother base. I would love 2 see these clowns take on Outer Heaven with Big Boss in a direct fight. They would get annihilated.
I like how you think warfare is all about being straight up in fighting. It's all about putting as much advantages for your side so that you have an easier time taking on the enemy.
