Thank you for sharing your family with us! Two questions:
1) if you rotate crops and plow under the old tomato plants, how do you not have a million volunteers the next year?
2) how do you avoid/prevent tomato hornworms? They nearly stripped my plants of all foliage in just one night! I now check my plants with a black light at night, but obviously you can't do that in your field.

Andrew the sounds your veggies make as you pick is so relaxing. Why not make a video starting with explanations about the reason you’re going soundless, then go soundless for 2:30 min. Me & my 2 siblings (ages 11-17 y/o) had to hoe 88 acres of corn & soy beans of every thistle, milk weeds etc, all spring-harvest. Rows were assigned at 6am & checked after supper. We were dropped off with a water thermos & a roll of toilet paper. If a weed was missed, it added to the belt lashing.
I hated my upbringing but I still love growing a large garden & raised chickens. I enjoy giving our organic veggies away to whomever stops by & picks what they want from our Blessing Baskets.
Btw, Callie steals the show! Lol. I've been watching several videos you've made. She makes me smile every time.

Love your video's! I grew up on a farm and have many fond memories; of all the hard work involved, along with all the rewards! Great way to grow up. You learn to work hard and eat healthy!

When I was young kid my grandparents and my dad and mom grow 5 gardens in for yard 1 of those big field and others 3 smaller 1s it take a lot of time work but it fun to the time with all of miss those days a lot
Ever think about a video talking to your parents an granny about how they picked an ran the farm before you boy's were old enough to work..pick one day a week an call it HISTORY OF the farm day (generations) maybe show old pictures have granny talk about her parents, aunt Becky interview your uncle's etc..no doubt there are amazing story's to tell that would be a blast.. brings your like family to so many of us..some for the winter months 👏👏👏

This brings back memories in the 60's as a child, helping pick sweet corn on the farm next door to us, then selling bagged dozens at the small stand in front of the streetside barn...I can still smell the fragrance of ripe butter-n-sugar ears, feel the humidity in the corn stalks on those sweltering august days. Wish we had bins...those ash wooden bushel baskets were hea-vee, loading them on the trailer. Thanks for this! :D

A couple of hours ago, I was informed that a family dairy farm in Chester County, (100 mi south of Drums, PA), that's been operated by that family since the 1870's, is going to suspend operations by December. I wired their milking parlor in the early 1980's (3-phase, BIG job). From what I've been told, COVID's effect on their business just could not be overcome, and when combined with the fact that everyone aged out (hit their mid-'60s at the same time), they came to the conclusion that they needed to explore other options besides the milk business. Anyone lucky enough to have a farm-direct-to-market operation near their home, cherish it, and thank them for their efforts by patronizing them. Even a well run agricultural business can succumb to unseen business pressures...
